Purchased property through Chancellor's Hereford. Submitted the guide price listed on their website, which was rejected instantly, on the basis seller would complete additional renovations. Submitted a higher bid, but plot twist: the seller did not complete the renovations, and left the property in an unsanitary state. I'm talking rotting meat being left in the sink levels of bad.
Called the Estate Agents asking for immediate assistance. There were missing keys, no instructions as to how to access utilities, and we needed to make contact with the selling party.
Chancellor's response was to effectively shrug and say "tough luck. Your problem, not ours."
I was left distressed and needed additional guidance and assistance from the agents involved, especially in light of the uplift paid. None was forthcoming.
Chancellors will act solely in their interest, and not yours. A house purchase is the most stressful transaction someone can go through, and if you are potentially purchasing through Chancellors, I would strongly recommend you think twice. They are unhelpful, require constant chasing, and when you complain, will tell you that it's entirely your problem to fix.
And that's on top of the sanity destroying following up you'll need to do around how the transaction is actually progressing.
Avoid, at all costs. Even if you find your dream property - just don't do it. Not to be trusted.
Very happy with how Molly (Molly Adams) dealt with everything I raised whenever I had an issue. She was always polite and consistently focused on finding solutions.

Terrible communication on Bradley’s part. Called to enquire about a property that was up for rent and was told it’s not currently available for viewing due to still being lived in. I had made an appointment via the site and also called beginning of the following week to get a viewing again speaking to Bradley. To then be told that viewings have ended as someone is interested in the property that viewed it last week, yet I was told viewings were not possible. Almost comes across as favouritism and not giving others a chance. First and last time I ever bother to check in with this agency

Katherine is incredible at her job and continuously supported me through the house sale and purchase process. She was professional, straight talking, empathetic and gave 100% throughout. I honestly don't think I could have done this without her and Amarjit from the Banbury branch. Absolutely wonderful service and I would always recommend Chancellors because of my recent experience. Thank you SO much - I can finally give my son the life he deserves in a house with his own room and a garden.

I have sold my property with Chancellors in Banbury. As soon as I opened the door I was incredibly impressed. Chad was impeccably dressed, very sharp, with a top coat. He instantly made me feel secure and confident.Chad was very warm, personable, and informative. I felt very at ease with him. He was very knowledgeable and explained what was going to happen and also listened to me, I knew that I would be able to rely on him.
Craig is a very happy, charming, respectful young man who conducted many viewings in my home, I was never present during these, but after viewings Craig would always call to update me on what the viewers thought which was very helpful. He is obviously, totally committed to the job in hand, always polite and conscientious.Throughout, Chad, Charlotte, Craig, Emily and Katherine were exceptional.
I definitely recommend Chancellors in Banbury.

I cannot recommend this branch, and caution anyone considering their services to proceed carefully.
I had an extremely disappointing experience with Chancellors Estate Agents rega. I was pressured into paying an £86 AML fee and to use a solicitor recommended by the agency, with no clear disclosure that they might financially benefit from this arrangement.
I was not allowed to do a property survey, and crucial information about asbestos in the property was not disclosed until after I had already incurred significant costs.
When I tried to raise my concerns, I was met with rude, dismissive behavior, including being hung up on by manager Ged Egan. Overall, the lack of transparency, pressure to spend, and unprofessional conduct left me frustrated and out of pocket. Do not use this estate agency.

Chancellors in Chesham handled our recent house sale. All the staff were friendly and responsive, which made the process easier. Callum, in particular, was very supportive and helpful. I can recommend his people skills if there are difficult people in your chain, as he was able to support our process by communicating effectively to find a way forward when issues presented themselves. Nicholas was tireless during the sales process and guided us when necessary. I liked the team's collaborative approach and their consistent communication with us after viewings. This team will do their best for clients in a challenging market with increasingly demanding conditions. I have no hesitation in recommending.

Jason Byrne from Oxfordshire property management was very helpful when our outside bin was damaged. He got a new one on order and confirmed for us straight away and made sure we didn't have to chase. Thanks, Jason.

Chancellors in Abingdon should be the first estate agent to visit for a property.
Great effort to all involved, especially Tom Houlihan who was extremely helpful.
