Good service
Balfe’s Bikes managed to source Rapha cycling caps in a size that seems to be unavailable elsewhere at the moment. They were delivered a bit later than expected but I am pleased to have them!

Really pleased
Really pleased with my Scott cross country mtb. Great price and speedy delivery. There was no surcharge for using the cycle to work scheme. Will definitely be using them again. Very impressive service.

Excellent, as always
I have had my bike serviced at Balfes at Waterloo for a number of years and they are always professional, helpful, courteous and knowledgeable.
This was the first time I used the Notting Hill branch and they were as good as the team at Waterloo. My bike is now as good as new and will last for another few years at least!

Initially disappointed, but impressed with how they resolved it
I originally left a bad review after a disappointing first experience with Balfe’s. I ordered a helmet and cycling shoes for £344, but after being told the order would dispatch within 3 days, I heard nothing for a week before receiving a refund with no explanation. I contacted customer support but initially received no response.
I’ve since changed my review because Balfe’s have gone above and beyond to put things right. After seeing my original review, they contacted me, took the time to understand what had happened and did everything they could to resolve the issue. They then got my helmet and shoes to me very quickly.
So while the original experience was undoubtedly disappointing, I have to give credit where it’s due. The way they handled the situation afterwards completely changed my opinion, and I really appreciate the effort they made to put things right.
It’s refreshing to see a company actually listen to feedback and make an effort to fix a problem. I’d be happy to use Balfe’s again.

The bike was sent back as there was damage. 16 days later still no money back . Have emailed which has been ignored, have also rang and keep getting told someone will ring . As of yet nobody has bothered. I have had to ring the finance company to try and sort it out as balfes wont return the money till they get the bike back . The bike has sat at Nottingham since 3am on the 30th of July, now 14th August and still not moved

We understand how frustrating this is, especially when you can see that the returned bike has been held within the courier network and you are understandably waiting for the return to be completed so your refund can be processed.
Our refund process requires the returned bike to be received back with us before the refund can be completed, but we recognise that this does not make the lack of communication any less frustrating. You should not have to repeatedly chase us or be promised a call-back that does not happen.
We’re reviewing the handling of this return and the communication around it so that we can improve how we manage situations where a return is delayed in transit.
