Delayed orders, no responses, awful customer service

Made two orders. Tried contacting them via the email address, instagram and online form on their website - no reply to any of my multiple messages, as items had not even been dispatched several days after the delivery window I was given. Thankfully, but much later than acceptable, the orders have been dispatched. Still no reply to any of the messages sent. A lot of reviews with similar experiences of late dispatch and radio silence to any attempts to contact them, so advise other buyers to be wary.

Perfume not delivered and unable to contact company

I ordered some perfume and was given a delivery date with a 3 day range. This date has come and gone and the tracking number this company gave me shows it hasn’t reached Royal Mail yet.

Unfortunately when trying to contact this company, they have not responded once. I have used the contact us form, sent a separate email and replied on the order email, all failing to get a response from the company about my order.

Their lack of customer service and contact availability is extremely disappointing. I have seen they reply to reviews on here sometimes and if they do reply to this, I hope they also reply via email so we can discuss their lack of contact and next steps to rectify the missing order.

I ordered the samples box and unlike others I haven't had any problems with delivery which is the only reason I gave 2*. However, the perfumes smell awful, more like cheap aftershave than perfume. Sadly I won't be buying again.

Skin Irritation & Chemical Smell

I ordered a 3 x 10ml perfume oils through a Facebook promotion (paying £4.90 for shipping). However, they only shipped ONE. The order took a long time to arrive, and the quality is appalling. Despite claims of being 'natural', the oil smells strongly of petrol/industrial chemicals.
Upon applying it to my skin, I experienced immediate burning, redness, and extreme skin tightness. I had to wash it off several times and use medical-grade soothing cream to treat the irritation. The ingredients list on the bottle is incomplete and fails to list mandatory allergens.
This is not a natural product; it is a low-quality chemical mixture that is unsafe for skin. DO NOT trust the positive reviews on their own website—this company is misleading customers.The company’s reply is insulting and misleading. I am a VERIFIED customer with order confirmation emails and bank statements to prove it. Claiming that Trustpilot reviews are from 'anyone' is a pathetic attempt to discredit a genuine victim of your unsafe product. Your 'certified assessors' clearly missed the fact that this oil causes chemical burns. Instead of taking responsibility for a dangerous batch, you choose to gaslight your customers. If your product is so 'safe', why does it smell like industrial petrol?
I have inspected the bottle and packaging (photos kept as evidence). There is NO batch number, NO manufacturer’s address, and NO full ingredient/allergen list (INCI) as required by UK Cosmetic Products Safety Regulations. Listing 'Perfume oil' is not legally sufficient. This is an unlabelled, untraceable, and unsafe chemical mixture. Your claim that your products are 'thoroughly tested' is impossible to verify when you don't even follow basic mandatory labelling laws. I am now officially reporting this to Trading Standards and the OPSS (Office for Product Safety and Standards).
Not only is the product unsafe, but the company also scams customers on quantity. My order confirmation clearly lists 3 perfume oils (Levante, Alkim, Mirab) for the £4.90 shipping fee. However, they only shipped ONE. My account was mysteriously updated after payment to show only 1 item. I have the original email proof of the 3-item contract. This is a classic 'bait and switch' scam. Avoid at all costs!

There are a few factors that can affect how long a fragrance lasts, such as skin type, hydration levels, and even the temperature of your environment. Drier skin, for example, tends to absorb fragrance more quickly, which can reduce how long it stays noticeable.

A couple of tips that may help: try applying the oil to well-moisturised skin and focus on your pulse points such as wrists and behind the ears, as the warmth helps diffuse the scent and can significantly improve the lasting power. Lovely discovery set and great value…

Lovely discovery set and great value for money. I really liked being able to try the scents before committing to a full size, and I appreciate the ethical approach and packaging. My favourites were Levante and Al-Akim — both felt beautifully balanced and wearable in different moods. Some scents didn’t last very long on my skin, and I noticed a small residue on the roll-on lid at times, but overall it’s a nice niche brand with real potential. I’d be happy to explore more of their scents in future.
I also really appreciated how clean and ND-friendly the whole shopping experience felt — from browsing to delivery. Everything arrived promptly and on time, and the eco-friendly packaging was a lovely touch. The little green pops of colour on the bags felt warm and thoughtful, adding a sense of care and intention behind the brand 🤗
When researching the company further, I did notice mixed reviews on Trustpilot, which made me feel a little unsure at first — especially as I’ve seen they’ve had an Instagram presence from the beginning, so I wasn’t expecting such a contrast. That said, I personally didn’t experience any issues with my order, though I haven’t needed to use customer service, so I can’t comment on that side. The only concern I can somewhat understand from other reviews is when freebies or descriptions don’t fully match what’s received, as that can feel disappointing.
One thing I would really love to see added is a “notify me” or email waiting-list option for sold-out scents, as quite a few I wanted to try were unavailable at the time. That said, they feel like an upcoming brand that’s still finding its feet, and growth can be difficult in the early stages. I do wish some things felt a little clearer or less hidden, as transparency always helps build trust — even when a company genuinely seems ethical.
From my personal experience, I enjoyed the discovery set and had no problems with delivery or packaging. I also have very sensitive skin — including psoriasis, rashes, and acne-prone / cystic-prone skin — and I had no negative reactions at all. I wouldn’t apply it to my face personally, but I used it behind my ears, on my neck, and on my body with no irritation, no rashes, and no flare-ups, which is a big plus for me. Because of that, I feel much more confident about continuing to explore the brand.
I’ve been actively trying to move toward more natural roll-on perfumes as part of a holistic, healthier lifestyle, and this feels like a brand I can genuinely start investing in. I really hope they continue to grow and refine things, because I’ve already found two scents I truly enjoy. The cost also feels fair for what you receive. I wouldn’t deter anyone from trying them — just use your own discernment. If it doesn’t feel right for you, that’s okay. Once I’ve tested the remaining scents I’m interested in, I’d definitely consider purchasing a larger bottle, as long as availability improves.

Our product pages do clearly state that our perfumes are roll-on perfume oils, but we understand that details can sometimes be overlooked when ordering.

Regarding delivery, we're sorry for any delay. Occasionally, shipping times can be affected by factors outside of our control, but we'd love to look into this for you and find out exactly where your order is.

Used express shipping a week ago and they haven’t even dispatched the order yet

I ordered some of the perfume oils
(ORDER #GRVS4679777) on the 14th December with express shipping (due to arrive Dec 16th-18th) and still haven’t had a dispatch notification.

I have emailed twice, messaged on Facebook, and messaged on Instagram to no reply. I got so frustrated that I looked up the Trustpilot reviews and can now see that I’m not the only one.

I spent £30 of the little money I earn on these products to give as Christmas presents for my best friend and partner and now don’t have anything to give them.

Please tell me where my parcel is!!

Placed an order for Renais 10ml perfume…

Placed an order for Renais 10ml perfume with express delivery. GRVS4685777. Received no shipping confirmation, I reached out multiple times to the company to request an update however they have given no response or apology for huge delay. Still have not received my order or any explanation.

1 star- Ordered from them seeing one of their deals to try for free, only paying postage. I love natural perfumes so was keen to try this brand as not tried before. However, order was due this week and still not arrived, tracking shows not dispached and no response to my email. Feels like a scam. Wish I'd read reviews before ordering.
UPDATED to 3 stars: never received any communications from their Instagram or email but finally the purfume has arrived. It smells lovely and I like it a lot- if the process had been smoother I would definitely be ordering again to try other scents.

Let me down for Christmas

I have ordered perfumes from here in the past but this time I am really disappointed. I have ordered Zephyra and Ethera 30ml perfumes with the intention of giving them as Christmas presents I only received one with my order which arrived on the 1st of December. I have tried emailing to find out if there is a delay or if the Ethera scent is out of stock but have received no correspondence. Pretty disappointed to have wasted my money.

I still haven’t received my order

I still haven’t received my order. I’ve sent 5 emails regarding this. I’ve sent all correspondence for proof of purchase. I have not received any reply’s at all!
I am so disappointed with this company.
I trusted them and they have let me down. 😢

I HAVE JUST RECEIVED MY ORDER! 31st October, 2015! However I won’t be using this company again. It’s their loss I’m afraid.😟

Awful - AVOID

Awful, just awful. I just wish to return the perfume I ordered, as I realised it wasn't actually natural as soon as I ordered it, but they are ignoring my requests for a returns label, despite saying they'd email it to me days ago. They wouldn't send me an ingredient list and now are not replying. Terrible customer service!! The website is misleading, the perfume is not natural. Why be so terrible on every level, just make and sell a good quality product and look after your customers.

Edit - thank you for your reply below. As you are aware, the products I wish to return are unopened as per the photograph requested and sent, I am fully within my statutory rights to request and make a return. Ignoring your customer's requests to return is against these rights. I am pleased to see that you have now removed any false product claims from your website, however you may wish to check your percentages below, they should add up to 100...

Further edit - I believe that if you offered honest, efficient customer service and an honest product and website, then you wouldn't have customer issues to deal with, but instead the blame is being deflected!! I just want to return my items, that's it, but the hours I've wasted trying to get my refund is unnecessary. I wouldn't need to write disappointed reviews if you looked after your customers and replied to emails. I just hope my refund goes through smoothly.....

Edit - So weeks and weeks after my initial dealings with Elodie at Grives and they have only given me a partial refund, my £10 short of my initial £44. No reason given. I'm unsure of exactly why they have to make it so near impossible and laborious to deal with them, clearly they're not interested in customer service, they just want your money. I have no trust left in this company and would no way put their products anywhere near my skin. I'm still in pursuit of my remaining refund, although they are stating that my case is closed!? Most other retailers excel in customer service these days, they know they have to in order to survive a competitive marketplace.

Thank you for your review. I'd like to address your concerns about our products and service.

Our perfumes are 75% natural, containing 60% almond oil, 15% high-quality tocopherol (Vitamin E), and 25% perfume extractions containing synthetic ingredient. The perfume extractions contain ingredients commonly used in cosmetics to comply with UK regulatory standards for safety and quality.

We've never claimed our products are 100% natural, that was your assumption out of nowhere, unfortunately.

Regarding the returns label, I sincerely apologise for the delay. As discussed in our previous correspondence, we can only accept returns of unopened, unused products in their original condition for hygiene reasons. This is standard practice across the beauty industry.
