Easy to book service and MOT, was able to have the car picked up and returned to my home. Couldn’t ask for more!

1* lost for x3 failed appointments
1* lost for holding multiple amounts of deposit money causing overlaps in bookings and restricting my personal money/ poor booking cconfirmation/ message updates i was always chasing and rectifying the issues cause byy AA smartcare
1* lost for failing to meet the time of booking on any of the failed appointments and the only reason you showed up at 12 on the day works was complete was because I kicked up a fuss
Mechanic was the only good experience he was quick efficient polite and knowledgeable
Booking was straight forward online but first appointment no one could come for 8 till 12 slot and I had work at 3pm so wasn't waiting for the delay 2nd appointment was cancelled due to the reschedule booking not taking funds as the was held too long off the back of the original booking but I still received confirmations that someone would come only to call at 12 to find out it was cancelled with no message regarding this at all then the third booking cancelled itself yet again and ended up holding double the booking amount so I called got my booking re instated with a small discount only through me requesting and then they was going to turn up yet again outside of my boolonnmg window.
I only continued to use this service as I had the patience of a saint but felt really let down throughout which is a shame as its all related to the booking process and logistics.
Cannot fault the mechanic but honestly won't be using this service again as over 20hours total of waiting over the several occasions that I won't get back and not to mention the stress of having to sort this out every single time wondering if this appointment would ever formulate
I cant give more than 1 star and the breakdown above states why otherwise I would be lying on my review/ dishonest
Even contacting the complaints team for a discount has been poor still no one contacted me even now!

The mechanic (Kev) was great with the service I received, would recommend the mechanic to everyone. But the actual smart care office where shocking I tried to rebook the same mechanic to do few other things that needed doing but couldn’t access online, when I phoned was told I couldn’t book over the phone, the women seemed more interested in ending the conversation rather than help with what I needed. Then they told me I hadn’t paid when had and had the invoice was hounded with 20/30 emails daily saying I needed to pay I phoned up and all of a sudden they told me the account was settled that morning, the following day I again received 20 odd emails, spoke to somebody else who was rude and unprofessional, on a whole if you can cope with the rude unprofessional office, then book because the mechanic was really good

I should've booked straight at the garage for my car's MOT and service. I didn't felt that I had any help from this third party service, won't give any updates, they're uncontactable.

Failed to advise garage of MOT request…
Failed to advise garage of MOT request and advised to drop car off one hour before the garage opened for business. When missed mot was realised your operator applied for the error and agreed that the MOT should have been booked as the half price MOT offer has been applied. He apologised and whilst holding my call arranged with the garage to book vehicle for MOT the following day. Messages and emails confirmed the booking (although shown as diagnostics and as follow up work specified by the garage). Upon attending the following day the garage informed me that you had cancelled the booking and they didn't know what was going on.

They found me a place to take my car for the mot close to were I was working as I work all over the place and because it was through AA I trusted it 100% so you actually gave me piece of mind

Booked for 8th June heard nothing by 12.30 even though emails and texts were still coming the before saying what to expect having rajen s day off work this has to then be rescheduled fir the next day at my work address the engineer turned up that time and was pleasant knew nothing of the fiasco either no show day before

Incorrectly diagnosed fault. Second opinion found to be a completely separate issue and the original diagnosis was not the problem, Parts had been purchased at great cost and having to be returned to suppliers with the vehicle now off the road for an extended period whilst new parts are arranged

Helpful, timely and reliable garage, even though there was an hiccup with initial AA Mobile Mechanic cancellation and not communicated. Eventually, it was resolved and apologies accepted, and the required service delivered.
AA took too long to send quote for work
My car was held at the garage because AA took so long to come back to me with the quote for the windscreen washers to be fixed. I couldn’t approve by phone it had to be done online.
I had to chase twice. Both times I was told someone was dealing with it. They weren’t.
Definitely wouldn’t use them again.

Quoted 1 thing charged another
Very dissapointed with the customer experience when using AA smart care. The primary reason for me using the service and booking through them was price. I was quoted £163 for interim service and MOT. As this was a good price I booked through them despite the only garages available being quite a distance away. But when it came to paying I was charged £195 not making the extra effort worth it and also above the quote with no explination to why. When I emailed AA smart care team for an explanation or response I got nothing in reply. Very poor customer service. Would not reccomend.
