Rude staff and felt alienated from the moment we got there

When we arrived at the restaurant in Newcastle, we were completely ignored and made to wait to be seated whilst being stared at multiple times and clearly mumbling between themselves. When we were finally seen to, it felt as though we were being rushed in, despite the restaurant being almost empty. The same waitress then gave us the menus and we asked for some tap water. We asked for the set menu for their 3 course meal but the whole time something with the atmosphere felt off. I even had the same feeling a few days prior and I wish I trusted that feeling before going there. She was then constantly glancing despite asking us if we would like a couple of minutes to read the menu and make a selection. I wouldn't have been as bothered if it had been busy, but we went when it was near empty. It felt like we were being rushed from the very moment we were seated. To save the embarrassment we didn't touch any of the drinks (including the complimentary shots of some pink stuff) which we weren't informed what it was and it was our first experience of the franchise. I decided to tell them we had a family emergency and we promptly left. Never again will I step foot in one of their restaurants. It was genuinely the worst experience we have ever had, and we didn't even get to the point of ordering any food or proper drinks. I couldn't honestly recommend going there at all.

Terrible staff and useless app

Terrible staff and useless app. I have been trying for months to get parental controls in place to block certain websites form being accessed but their app wouldn't work when trying to set it up (it's apparently only possible through the app which is stupid) and I can't stand the staff. I have had one staff member that found the fault and promised to let the tech team know who tried to call me one day at 9am without letting me know beforehand so I missed the call. I was told I would receive a call the next day before 5pm which again never happened but at 7pm I received a message claiming they tried to contact me but I didn't answer (there was never any call at all from anyone that day, and certainly not from them) and I was told I would receive one today. I finally did but when they asked me when I last reset my router I gave them the wrong time frame (I've been so busy and had so many promised call backs that I didn't realise it has been almost a month) and because of this the male staff member said, "well actually according to the information on my screen it was last reset on the 4th of June" and I felt like saying to him, then why the heck did you bother asking me if you had the data right in front of your face. I didn't but I genuinely hate almost all of the male staff that I end up talking to because they are so rude. The female staff are almost always the best and the only ones who actually find the faults. I have also had no use out of their wifi controls which they love to advertise so much about on the tv and yet it is stuck on loading continuously. I obviously still can't get access to the parental controls either. I was told today that there had been some changes and I had to reset my router but he said "I will call you back some time tomorrow to check if it works" and I'm dreading it because he is just plain and simple, a rude piece of work. If they are rude again then I will let them know about it and report them because they always say that customer abuse towards staff is not tolerated and yet it's always the staff in my case. Ridiculous company and they definitely do not care for their customers when this is how we are treated.

Incredibly rude and failing to collect bins.

Recently had to sign up to their bin collection so they are supposed to collect it and return it etc. However they have been constantly missing my bin collections and they not only missed my household waste bin last week just before Christmas but they also missed my recycling collection this week shortly after Christmas. Both bins are scheduled for collection by them from my outdoor storage area which has unlimited access for them every day of the week so there's absolutely no excuse for their lack of competence and it's beginning to feel like the bin collection team is either new or just can't be bothered to actually do what has been asked of them. If you want to discuss anything with regards to benefits or money from work or even just general enquiries etc, the female staff on the phone are incredibly rude, condescending, and entitled. Why does it seem to be that they are always miserable? Literally every time I ever phone them which thankfully until recently isn't that often, it's like any problem you have makes their day a living h*ll and I really don't care if you have abusive customers because even though they state on the phone that any abuse won't be tolerated and that you will be reported, somehow they make it easy for their staff to be abusive and difficult to report such ignorant and nasty scum.

My friend ordered some food and it was actually very nice.

My friend ordered some food such as chocolates and snacks and sauces and I have to admit that I was hesitant at the sauces being so low in calories because many others have a gummy/pasty texture that just feels wrong and repulsive but these had a great texture and flavour. Will be buying some myself when the supplies run out.

Review of Royal Mail

Sent at the Post Office and was collected but there is no proof on the tracking?!!!

I have used Royal Mail for many years along through eBay. I almost always send items through tracked but with a large and expensive parcel on this occasion, I used their Special Delivery service. I have unfortunately lost my proof of purchase which is essentially an old fashioned piece of paper. Without this they refused any refund and after being denied that I simply asked if they could actually look for my parcel. They then got back to me stating that no refund could be made. Sorry Sharon (not their actual name) but what part about finding/searching for a large and lost parcel don't you understand. I've honestly had enough of their shenanigans and I have emailed their Independent Review Board to see if they can shed some light on this situation. Completely disgusting customer service so far.

Normally very good but I waited over an…

Normally very good but I waited over an hour after my order only to get a phone call to say my pizza will soon be put into the oven and then a further half an hour or so to get an apology from the manager to say that my order would not be arriving at all as they we're shutting down the kitchen and offered me a slightly increased amount on top of order cost to put into my account credit or a refund. Obviously I opted for a refund and I will order again in the future but I want my confidence in them to get back to how it used to be. They clearly have a bad system in place and HQ should be more prepared for situations like what happened tonight and help the store to do better when this happens. Had to order from another takeaway who we're also busy but at least they can do a better job of it. I wish this situation to be a step forward to better handle future situations like this or worse. This review is not meant to be harsh but more constructive criticism to help them to do better in the future.

Always comes as it says it will. If it says there is some damage, cosmetic or otherwise or that some items may not come with purchase then it will say and I have always loved shopping with them both in store and online.
