Pet Care Advice
Customer Hub
Pet emergencies can happen at any time – including when your regular vet is closed.
That’s why our nationwide network of out-of-hours pet emergency clinics are open through the night, at weekends and on bank holidays, so we’re ready and waiting to provide expert pet emergency care when your regular vet is having some time off.
Our pet emergency clinics are the pet equivalent of A&E and our purpose is to give you and your pet the care and support you deserve, at the time you need it most, whether it’s four in the morning or in the middle of Sunday lunch.
Vets Now provides this trusted service to more than 1000 veterinary practices across the UK — from over 60 dedicated out-of-hours clinics and two 24/7 pet emergency hospitals. In total, we treat around 200,000 small animals every year — our highly-skilled team works hard throughout the night, weekends and Bank Holidays. So whether you’re in Aberdeen, Belfast or Portsmouth we’re there for you and your pet when you need us most.
We’ve also pioneered other ways to help pets, pet owners and the veterinary profession, such as our comprehensive referrals service and providing our staff with industry-leading training and development opportunities. We also support the pet blood transfusion charity, Pet Blood Bank UK. Meanwhile, our two hospitals — in Glasgow and Manchester — are home to some of the UK’s leading specialists in the field of emergency and critical care and provide care 24 hours a day, seven days a week.

Excellent emergency vets service, only took two hours from spotting the problem to getting back home with some medicine. Very nice vets, easy to find and park right outside the door.

Very good service for out hours but very expensive £400 pounds for 1 staple in and out in 5 minutes

The cost. We were told £1500 and it was over £1600. There was no option to pay in installments. It was a massive amount to pay out in one go, but the staff seemed to think this was a regular occurrence to shell out large sums, without batting an eyelid.
The vet was friendly enough, but rather matter of fact. The nurse was not very understanding of how stressful the situation was.

This is a fantastic service. I was really reassured by the appointment which was very thorough and provided me with a full explanation of what was happening to my dog, what to look out for and what to do if his condition changed. Our clinician was very caring and sympathetic too. Thank you!

We had to use vetsnow due to an emergency with our cat, they quoted a figure which was high but we had no choice at the time.
After we were seen the price became even higher and the price charged for some very basic medication was astronomical, literally marked up 500% from what you can buy online.
Was told it's easiest to pay their bill in full and they deal with the insurance companies paperwork and that it would be simple and straightforward.
Well two weeks later I have had zero communication from vetsnow except for when I have had to chase them.
So in summary some very sharp practices and abysmal customer service. I certainly wouldn't use them again.

Avoid these vets!!! it’s a money making exercise they don’t care about your beloved pet they just care about what they can rip you off for.
Took my 16yr old dog there clearly in kidney failure and having seizures it took me an hour hysterically crying asking them to put my baby out of her misery but no they wanted to give her diazepam and keep her in overnight to do tests and furthermore calling my vet down saying he had miss diagnosed her unbelievable 😭

It was easy to get an appointment and my pet was seen very quickly. The staff were friendly and reassuring and were able to put me at ease regarding his condition and give him treatment.

Had to take my pregant dog who was having difficulty in labour. The service was excellent and she and the majority of the puppies were saved by the intervention.

If I could give zero stars I would. After taking my Pom to these early hours Monday morning as she was in distress in labour, I have never met such uncaring and money orientated people in my life. Charged us over £300 to basically walk in the door. All they did was give her a shot to try and progress her labour and put a finger inside her and tell us she was ok. Obviously she wasn’t as she passed away not long after aswell as her two puppies. They basically told us if we did not have a £1000 for caesarean she will die and they wouldn’t do anything. No emotions shown whatsoever, all they kept saying was about money. Absolutely disgusting treatment. Reviews on Google also state this too. They need retraining as vets because it’s obvious they have no empathy towards animals whatsoever and are only financially motivated
