Very caring and compassionate staff. I'd have happily given 5 stars, however the fees are extortionate. Having to go there in an emergency is terrifying enough and then you're hit by a massive bill.

Pet Care Advice
Customer Hub
Pet emergencies can happen at any time – including when your regular vet is closed.
That’s why our nationwide network of out-of-hours pet emergency clinics are open through the night, at weekends and on bank holidays, so we’re ready and waiting to provide expert pet emergency care when your regular vet is having some time off.
Our pet emergency clinics are the pet equivalent of A&E and our purpose is to give you and your pet the care and support you deserve, at the time you need it most, whether it’s four in the morning or in the middle of Sunday lunch.
Vets Now provides this trusted service to more than 1000 veterinary practices across the UK — from over 60 dedicated out-of-hours clinics and two 24/7 pet emergency hospitals. In total, we treat around 200,000 small animals every year — our highly-skilled team works hard throughout the night, weekends and Bank Holidays. So whether you’re in Aberdeen, Belfast or Portsmouth we’re there for you and your pet when you need us most.
We’ve also pioneered other ways to help pets, pet owners and the veterinary profession, such as our comprehensive referrals service and providing our staff with industry-leading training and development opportunities. We also support the pet blood transfusion charity, Pet Blood Bank UK. Meanwhile, our two hospitals — in Glasgow and Manchester — are home to some of the UK’s leading specialists in the field of emergency and critical care and provide care 24 hours a day, seven days a week.

Local veterinary team during initial admittance were fantastic thorough and kept me up to date - very sensitively discussed and explained up front payment amounts (deposit before submitting claim)
Discharge was horrendous - before I could collect my pet (serious surgery) I was told in front of everyone on reception I hadn’t paid enough deposit - I had to stand there and do the calculation for them to prove I had
The discharge veterinary nurse was horrendous - 30 mins late then frustrated as we were clarifying meds but unable to explain what the medication was, incredibly patronising and disrespectful - I did request to see the vet who came out and was lovely even asking in shock where my pet was and why he hadn’t been brought out
Following this the ironic thing is Vetsnow now owe me over £500 they were paid on the 9th July by BACS by insurers I have the evidence
Vets now said I have to wait 10 days as not paid despite the evidence - ironic as the hell they put me through making sure they were paid and messaging every day for the balance when it was with insurers and on day 2 of the 60 day limit to pay
Yet I can’t get the money they owe me !!!
The vet was so helpful, explaining fully what was wrong and the steps required to get our dog well. So grateful and glad to say she is recovering well. Thank you.
One star for the charges we were charged
We had to take our pet to Vets Now Herne Bay , let me start by saying the staff , receptionist and vets were amazing , and this review does not reflect them but the charges the company put in place
We were charged £585 in total for the service which was approx one hour , this was 11am on a Sunday , the vets was open so it was not opened for us , not the middle of the night and we had a 10 minute consultation that was £320 plus treatment ( a injection to make our pet sick) they charged £265 , that took 30 minutes total
We are so upset that the charges were so extortionate, we were advised by another vet in Herne Bay that sadly was busy as to why we had to go to vets now their consultation charge at that time was £69 such a huge difference
I complained to vets now and that has been very difficult even though I signed the forms and paid the bill , they advised the person who made the call had to send a email of authority, we did that and then they advised it had to be the owner , which we have now done .
To add we have repeatedly had to request Vets Now respond to the insurers as we have put a claim in and they have not responded
There is no pricing on your website so this seems to give you cart blank to charge distressed owners what you like
Seen quickly in an emergency situation. Staff friendly and helpful. No waiting time seen immediately. Would recommend Vets Now emergency clinic at Stoneygate Lane

The vet who operated on my woofer was nice and honest however I was told my dog should be bk out with me in 10 to 20 mins as he was on oxygen but I then never heard anything for an hour and half and it was nerve wrecking

Amazing treatment and centre
We were away in our motorhome when our dog took at turn for the worse.
We attended out of hours emergency vet.
Our beloved dog was in overnight and received IV antibiotics and care.
They saved her life from infection which I believe could have turned into sepsis. My dog has systemic lupus so can not come with infection. My dog went into the vet fragile and came out stronger. The vet gave us medications to go home with and advised returning home will be better and even discussed what time to take to the motorway to make it less stressful travel. Thank you so much we are eternally grateful x

The staff were courteous and so helpful. The service was impeccable and we felt so valued and knew instantly our little Maine coon girl would be well looked after, which she was. I couldn't be any happier that everything was done to help us and our girl. I would highly recommend and give more stars if i could. Thanks guys, we really appreciate everything

Bee sting!
Vets were great and helped our puppy get back to normal after a bee sting. Friendly and helpful. We were seen at 1am after an hours drive.
Probably normal procedure with all emergency vets but they have a £35 admin fee for insurance claim.
I asked them to remove the fee, and they did so without protest. I filed the claim myself but my insurers required them to sign the form regardless of having the medical history. I was therefore billed the £35 again. Overall bill £391.59.
Moral of the story. Suck it up and let them deal with the whole claim because they'll charge to same.

I’m so impressed with the quality of service that I received, my poor little boy had cut his leg really badly. Both the reception staff and vet were excellent and put me at ease during this stressful time. I’m very grateful for all of their help

Had to take my dog in for an emergency appointment. Everyone was amazing, calm and kind. My dog was given lifesaving treatment and was so well looked after. I was given reassurance and regular updates. It’s not an experience anyone wants to go through, but if you do, these are the professionals you need.

Vets now is a portal in your hour of need. All veterinary staff were calm and reassuring. However, I found the female receptionist disrespectful for addressing me as darling when I'm a female in my 70s. It's not professional.
Unfortunately my emergency visit was Sunday, I was told what the initial fee would be but when your dog is very poorly, you have to pay.

Will be writing a complaint to this practice. Disgusting behaviour and was threaten with police and RSPCA to sign paper work for £1k to euthanasia my dog, instead of letting me taking her at home and getting a second opinion visit from my own Vet and allowing to be put down in my own home. Then refused to hand over dog back.
Then used the police to mock me and telling me to empty out my pockets and my age.
Dont not take your dog here. they dont even bother to call your normal vet or view their medical history even when offered to them. They work on order of priority of pets and if your pet is old and has many conditions- they rather put them down than do any diagnostics to earn than £1k for a 10minute dog by putting them asleep.
Its illegal to not tell owners how much the treatment costs before taking the pet in and then slapping a bill that went from £300 consultation fee to £1000.
Hope you review your CCTV footage because telling police officers to come out for being called 'violence' falsely when I declined euthanasia on my dog is not a criminal offence, nor is making any other arrangements to relieve that suffering else where.

Prompt responses from call centre. Was communicated with clearly throughout. At the emergency clinic we were seen in a good time given that it is first come first served with the proviso that emergencies will be dealt with. Overall a good response with sympathetic staff at what was on a stressful time for owner and pet

Everything was excellently except for the fact that it was freezing inside. A warm day outside, but surely no need for air-conditioning to be so cold. I was shivering for nearly an hour. Great vet though, and helpful staff.
