Factor Meals Canada Reviews 

The meals came frozen even though they are supposed to “fresh” and ready to cook. For sure they have to be “cooled” with ice packs but all of my boxes were frozen! The meals are reviewed or approved by a registered dietician however the sodium content is way to high even for a healthy, active adult, let alone seniors or others who have blood pressure or other medical issues. So be aware of this.

TERRIBLE EXPERIENCE WITH FACTOR!

In the first box of 20 meals I got, I was sent 4 meals I didn't order. Fortunately I don't have any allergies or moral/religious reasons for excluding the fish and seafood in those meals so I just sucked it up and decided to give them another chance.

The app is terrible, too. There
is no way to see what was ordered in a specific delivery week. I was away from home on holiday for two delivery days (July 8 and 15) so in the app, I opted to skip my deliveries for those two weeks. Lo and behold, when I got home there were 2 boxes on my porch - one that had completely thawed after sitting there for a week! Fortunately I got home in time to salvage the other one.

When I called customer service to complain, they said there was nothing they could do because there was nothing in my account to say that I'd skipped those two weeks. And I had no way to prove it because the app is so useless! Now I'm left with over $200 of food I didn't order, and half of it has to go directly into the garbage. Needless to say, I canceled my subscription and wrote an unhappy email to them that will probably never be read.

Meals are quality, freshness of products and good taste. Nice portions.
Delivery.

The food selection is really good. Portion control is good, and the macros for the various diet plans is good. Delivery to commercial office buildings is a bit of a problem. Would happen too late in the day and sometimes delivered to wrong address. Had to adjust by getting this delivered to my home and then bringing it in. Otherwise the service is good, and is a good choice to be able to get a decent meal that is healthy and for a decent price.

Great for me as I train and need to have some meal prep available and ready. The food is good. A lot of waste tho. (Plastic, packaging ect.)

Everything is good. Not much variety in flavors.or textures.

I live in a highrise apartment condo.My shipping instructions asked that my food"be delivered to my apartment.The access code was provided,but the food was left in the unsecured area,between the entrance doors,of the building.

Meals are well prepared.
They are tasty and savoureuse.

First order went well my meals were decent but I had ordered 12 so I skipped the second week. Lo and behold I look at my bank account I was charged for my meals I contacted there management and was offered no support even tho it was 100% there mistake they still refused any support. I’ve since cancelled my subscription and I don’t recommend dealing with factor to anybody. Look else where for premade meals. There management is useless and it’s not worth the hassle of even emailing them

First off I think the food is amazing and I really enjoy it and the portions. I only have two criticisms. First I didn't appreciate the auto enrollment for week after week, although it may work for most it should be an opt in not auto. Secondly the delivery date was changed for my needs and reverted back to the original. I understand the processing you do with batch cooking and quality control but I found the BB dates overdue before I could use them.
Overall you have an excellent product and if it could be shipped frozen with a longer BB date say 2 weeks in the freezer it would be more user friendly for my situation and I may be an outlier. I am sure I will order again and try freezing myself and control the time since I really enjoyed the food just it seemed to rush me and therefore remove the convenience benefit.
Keep up the good work and of course I always support Canadian made products!!

I notice most of the meals I got are near their expiration date. I put a couple meals in the fridge. The Kansas City Pulled BBQ Chicken (BB/ 2026/JL/13),was off after I got through the sauce. I felt better the next day. The Green Peppercorn Grilled Chicken (BB: 2026/JL/12) was good, but the Honey Glazed Carrots were inedible. Other than that the food was tasty, but this is not the way to keep a client. Could my next box be more up to date please? I hope you read this. Ian MacDougall.

Since signing up for Factor meal delivery, I've only received one order of meals. The subsequent 2 deliveries have not arrived, though I was notified and refunded the first failed delivery, the second failed delivery I've not received any information. This leads me to conclude the service is unreliable. I did like most of the meals I did initially receive.

I have very few issues. Recently had problems with not delivering to my suite on my floor where I live.

We have only completed 2 weeks. Meals have been generally quite good & easy to prepare. A lot of variety - will take a while to become familiar with what we prefer.

Too many promotional emails, and a little pricey.

Superb recipes, high quality ingredients, expertly prepared.

The meals taste good, the choices are varied but interesting.

I had concerns about the packaging before but it got better already.

I've had issues with shipping but it was not Factor's fault and was offered the option to be reimbursed without trouble.

My only concern is the price which is a bit higher than i would like, but the meals ARE worth it, the issue is my budget ;) NOTE: The "add-ons" are quite pricy as well, but i have not tried those.

Terribly inflexible if you miss the cancellation deadline by a few hours. They claim to want to avoid food waste, but prefer to leave the box they won’t cancel on your doorstep to go to waste. After ordering 20+ boxes, you’d think the customer service would do a little more to help you out. Would recommend any other meal prep company, as the other ones I’ve tried gladly cancelled the box even if there was less than 12 hours delay on my cancellation

On June 21, I received an email from Factor indicating that my meals were not going to be delivered due to some issue at their end. In the email it was indicated that within 5 - 10 business days for refund. On July 06 i contacted them once again and they told me it would be another 3-5 days for refund to be issued. Check again today with them and I was told it would still be another 3-5 days before refund be issued. Don't get me wrong the food was ok, not able to customize things has been an issue for me....so that being said I have canceled my subscription

The food is amazing. The portions are massive. I like that there's no preservatives. It comes not frozen. Always fresh.

FACTOR meals are bland, bland, and bland. The vegetables are mushy and tasteless. The "main" courses are tasteless as well. Portions are good, but that's the only good thing we can say. Also, if you don't move fast enough, another box of food will arrive even if you have cancelled your account! Such a disappointment, as we were hoping to find tasty prepared meals. Oh yes -- you better like chicken, because that's what most of their meals are.
