Chef's Plate has a wide and varied menu to choose from that is always evolving. I have been with them and other similar companies for almost a decade and order a box almost every other week. They definitely offer the best value for your money of any of the meal services out there. This week I had 3 meals that I have never tried before. All of them my family rated with a thumbs up and make again. Last night's Fish Puttanesca with olives and buttery orzo is now a new favorite in our house, healthy and delicious. A win for everyone.

I like how my meals (so,far) taste good, they have flavour and are, easy to make. Delivery is fast, right to my door. Quality is great.
The issue I have is with the recipe cards. Some have the utensils used on the front, some dont. I'd like to know ahead of time instead of while I'm making food, its the little things that help make the food that much faster and easier.
On two recipe cards I found it would say as an example: "cut onion into 1/4 inches put half into small bowl. Then it didnt say what to do with the other half. Am I using it later on in the recipe or was it just easier to send a full onion? As you read the next thing you'll understand my confusion.
Another recipe card had the same instructions with onions but it didnt say what to do with them until the a couple panels after. I'd like the language cleaned up a bit and clear what is required of ingredients and where to put them.
I'd also like pictures of produce that is to be cut, so if someone isnt used to cutting onions into say 1/4 inches, they can see what that looksl Iike.

This was one of the most frustrating customer experiences I have had.
The system allowed duplicate accounts for the same person and address without clearly warning me, which led to repeated confusion, failed cancellations, and boxes continuing to arrive when I believed they were cancelled. That is a major technical and UX failure for a subscription delivery service.
Customer service was not helpful. Instead of identifying and fixing the actual problem, they gave rigid, dismissive responses and showed very little empathy. I was left dealing with unwanted deliveries, wasted food, stress, anxiety, and charges I did not intend.
The recent recall issues made the situation even worse and removed any trust I had left in the company.
What bothered me most was not just the broken system, but the lack of accountability and basic human understanding when trying to fix it. My experience was that they were much better at deflecting responsibility than resolving problems.

For the amount of healthy items you get for the price it's hard to beat in a regular grocery store. The quality is good and quantity is good. The meals are discribed very easy to make and all have turned out tasty and delicious. However the delivery is only good if you have a person that can stay home all day because delivery hrs aren't a set time. There between 8am to 8pm. If you're a single person like myself I loose a day of work every Monday waiting on a $54 delivery which I can't justify doing. It started as gift from planet fitness which I knew wasn't free as most things in life aren't. For a family of more than one person that has the time to stay home it would be a good fit. As for myself I will most likely end my subscription because of the delivery service. Like I said the quality, pricing and quantity is hard to beat. For all those single people out there it'd make a good date night sharing your kitchen chefs skills learning together making meals you never made before. Then enjoying it when it's done. All meals are time friendly 25 to 45 minutes finished.

The great thing with chef plate is when you initially sign up you get an amazing deal for the first delivery order. It makes it worth the price as the food is actually good. But when your first week is over then it doesn't become worth it anymore as the grocery price is actually cheaper even if you factor in the convenience.

These meals have been great. I don't have to worry about anything everything comes for each meal. I do 3 days a week and it makes meal planning so much easier.

I'm happy to have new and different meal ideas. I love having the ingredients, and appropriate and generous amounts come right to my door. It's been good quality. We've had some very good, interesting meals, and usually leftovers. The prices are reasonable, and there are extra little add on specials. And I'm glad that all packaging is recyclable. I find that the recipes take longer than suggested, with all the steps and various things going on at the same time. That's the only down side.

The good was good but on proteines left. I reported the delevery for the next two week because I did not unsderstand that IT was automatiquely set for the year. I tought that I can ordre only when m'y budget permit It.

Did not like what was sent. I had meals picked out and because my credit card was declined you sent whatever. We are fussy and don’t like whatever. I would rather you not send anything if you’re not going to send the meals we pick anymore when our credit card is declined. Otherwise it goes to waste and I CAN NOT afford that!!! Please don’t send whatever you choose. Thank you

I love the recipes. The flavors are really great. I like the variety. I am a bit concerned about the quality of the meat in the recipes. How do we verify if the meat is real genuine meat? All the threats of fake meat had me and others nervous. There is no labels of where your food is from. I cant wait to see what more we can try. It really helps with my food imagination.

Not bad, As an experienced cook, who actually took many courses I find the instructions a bit strange at times, not done in the order I would, and not always the method I would use or the way I would cook, so I modify things a bit.
I like that everything is there when I need it, but would like more details on the ingredients in the spice packages.
