While we don't verify specific claims because reviewers' opinions are their own, we may label reviews as "Verified" when we can confirm a business interaction took place. Read more

You should know
Not exactly a scam but deliberately deceiving
Whilst not exactly a scam, the letter you get from them after starting a business is designed to look like official documentation from either HMRC or Companies House and it's not accidental. I can't imagine how many people are caught out by this. I nearly was and it's not my first business! The idea is to look like something you are required to sign up to when in fact it's probably a company that offers a legitimate service but definitely isn't required. I'd stay away. If they are happy to advertise this dubiously I wouldn't deal with them
Definitely dubious
Definitely dubious, paid without thinking and then realised it wasn't what it appeared to be. Letter looks official but realised not long afterwards that I'd fallen for a bit of a scam. Kind of feel like they could actually be offering a genuine service they've just made it look like an official letter to garner more business which is the dodgy element. It's flagged as a scam by Companies House and HMRC so there might be more to it than that. On the other hand when I requested to cancel they got back to me and confirmed the cancellation and refund almost straight away.
Total scam
Total scam. Glad that I checked this out as the letter tries to look official and mandatory. Ignore!
This is a scam
This is a scam - do not be fooled in to thinking you are obliged to sign up and pay them.
They sent me a letter like everyone else who has given them a review - I had a COVID-19 relief deduction as well!!
They have added some company details of theirs which are also fake.
Don't waste time or money on these scams.
Scammers
They sent a scam letter as soon as I set up a limited company, where they are attempting to get me to sign up to an extremely vague service that poses as an official government service.
Ask for a refund
Hands up, I fell for this and only realised my mistake after reading more about the company. In their T&C it refers to a 30 day period in which you can cancel for a full refund. With low expectations I sent them an email and within 2 minutes I had £47 put back in my account.
Lesson learned!!!
Scammy scam scam
Got the scam letter within a week of registering my company. I barely get scam letters so this was very amusing and made my morning. I’m now going to throw this in the rubbish where it belongs.
Scammers and not a HMRC or UK government entity. They are a company based in the US!
Scammers! They make it sound urgent and necessary in the wording of the letter but when you read the fine print at the back, they absolve themselves of any wrongdoing:
"This is a soliclitaiton for your business... This solicitation shall not be interpreted or deemed as a legally binding offer, nor does it create any obligation to form a contractual relationship."
When setting up a limited company, PLEASE read the fine prints on any payment letters that you receive!
Misleading company
Misleading company
You DO NOT have to sign up for this as part of starting a limited company. Their letter is carefully designed to look like payment to them is a requirement as part of registering your limited company..
Fake letter don't pay
I got 4 letters one of which is telling me I need to pay £47.
It is a scam don't pay
I'm glad to see others are experiencing the same thing as I was confused at first and was going to pay.
Always double check with your accountant :)
Scammers- I owe them money apparently…
Scammers- I owe them money apparently and must pay asap. Disgusting. I wonder how many people fall victim to this.
Scam
Scam! Letler that sounds like company house, but is actually a private company that asks for money.
After registering my company with…
After registering my company with Companies House and having my details publicly listed, I received communications demanding payment for services that were both unsolicited and vague. This is nothing short of a scam, a sentiment echoed by 91% of reviews I've read from others who have encountered similar deceptive practices. These communications prey on new business owners with misleading and nonsensical demands, posing as necessary fees linked to company registration.
It is outrageous that this type of fraudulent activity continues unchecked. There should be a more robust system in place to prevent such scams from reaching unsuspecting business owners. Authorities need to step up and take action against these deceptive schemes that threaten the integrity of the business registration process. This isn't just an inconvenience; it's a serious issue that could potentially harm many individuals financially. Everyone should be aware of this scam and remain vigilant against any such fraudulent attempts following company registration.
Scam
Absolute scam!
They have the audacity to send me a letter stating that I have “unclaimed account status” of some made up concept.
The letter is well crafted with slick misleading language and calls for urgent action - payment.
Stay away and always use .gov websites!
