Absolutely horrible to deal with. They wanted extra money (£800) to deposit on credit car just incase child seat gets damaged, even thou it was already looked very bad. Staff have no idea why they charging what.

please please please avoid.

When I read a bunch of bad reviews about carwiz, I was optimistic, "No way..." But it really happened.
When I went to return the car, they said there was a scratch on the bottom of the car.
I swear we never caused an accident.

so i require them to show me the picture they took.but they told me they don't have and why they took a photo of a clean car.
Unfortunately, we took the video at an angle where the bottom of the car came out only a little bit.
there was nothing wrong with the before video, but they said we created the damage.
I showed them a picture of me capturing the video, but in the end they said the video was unbelievable. They never let me go. I lost.
They just thought of making an extra charge. this is way to make money. to rent a car is not their business.
400 euros was taken out of our deposit.

Keep doing business like that. All that's left is the business going to fail.

I was in Zagreb in April 2024 and had nothing then good experiences with staff and rentals.
I am steady customer already renting from them for last five years and nothing then professional and good. I email them month ahead and when i get there I get same care or bigger and better.
I am giving information to my kids to go there and rent from them.

DO NOT WASTE YOU TIME OR MONEY with these people. If you late by 10 mins they’ll cancel you and send you to their neighbour car rental company which they own too and make you pay a lot more for no reason. Standing in a hot climate will not help what so ever.

The company was a complete scam - avoid! We returned the car in excellent condition at night, when the staff was not there to receive the car. A few hours later, the company sent an email with a picture of a microscopic scratch on the fender. At the same time, €250 was withheld from the account for the deposit. In our own photos taken before and after the rental, there is no trace of the fake damage. The company does not agree to cooperate, send additional photos or justify the "maintenance work" it charges. The customer service was really nice, I wonder why...

Because they are even worse! Experience in Zagreb. We were treated with unique rudeness and the highest level of discourtesy. Our flight was delayed, and we INFORMED the company they work with, Carjet, about the delay with a phone call. Upon our arrival, they wanted to charge us a "fine" because, according to them, we had not informed them. They also wanted to penalize us further because, according to them, we had arrived past their working hours. But, according to what was written on the voucher, there were two hours left until the end of their working hours. Not to mention other details, such as sending an email saying they would take an amount of 1400€ for deposit, even tho we had already payed 900€ for the deposit, and additional charges not specified when we rented the car. Conclusion: we did not take the car and preferred to move around on foot. DO NOT TRUST THIS COMPANY!

The worse company in my history. They lie, the cheat and Tejy are frauders. 5 weeks I wait for redund and even after They charge me 20% for transfer fee. Bad communication!!!! People avoid this company if you don’t want problems and loosing money. FRAUDERS!!!!!!

Unfortunately, I had a negative experience with this company before I saw everyone's reviews.
I was also charged $650 for damage to the windshield, although it was not evident from the inspection. They said that after washing the car they found it and wrote off the amount from my deposit!
Definitely a company of fraudsters. I have filed a complaint with the Polish police, and I think I will also join others who have suffered from these scoundrels.

Really inflexible- won’t accept huge deposit (even after full collision damage waiver paid!) without a credit card. We have exercised the choice not to have a credit card, and this company refuses to hire to people with only a debit card.

Absolutely terrifying experience!! I rented thru Priceline. I received a text to pre check so when I began the process it requested another card and an additional $400. I then decided something was wrong so I stopped the process and text customer service who was insanely rude so I canceled and also canceled with Priceline and told them what happened. Later I got a text from Carwiz that stated my payment went thru and for me to come and get my car. I text back and asked how they charged me if I didn’t approve it. They then text me and called me names and said that they were reporting me to TSA as a problem traveler! I have screenshots of it all!! I have now filled several complaints and will be calling the news!

When we rented the vehicle (in Krakow) the manager had 16 scratches... noted as existing on the vehicle. Many of them were extremely small and very hard to see. But we found a couple more that they did not have marked down. Which he marked down, made pictures... When we returned the car in Rzeszow, the receptionist went to inspect the car. She made a beeline for the plastic above the rear wheel and pointed out some small scratch. She marked it down and blamed us for causing it. She did not examine the rest of the vehicle. This cost us $264.40. She knew of the scratch and that we didn't notice it when picking up the car. They are scam artists. Don't rent from them.

Rented a car from Apr 30 to May 23/2024 from carwiz at Gdansk airport I would leave zero stars if it was an option. It is a scam of a company. Rented us a damaged car. Then charged our credit card for made up scratch on passenger door which was invisible to naked eye. We have pictures of proof. Loaned us a damaged car and charged us for a microscopic mark. Total scammers. Zero response to our email to customer support. Not surprised. What a garbage company, out to scam unsuspecting customers! Stay away!

I strongly advise against using this car rental company.

I received a car with an MOT due in approximately 200 km. The car had no mileage restriction, so I reached the limit after which the MOT became overdue.

When returning the car, no rental employees were present. After returning the car, I received an email stating that there were damages. The email included pictures and videos taken in the evening with limited lighting, showing a dirty car (white KIA WY987XR), supposedly proving that I scratched the mirror and handle. I was charged £310 for each of these 'scratched' items, which is ridiculous and completely inadequate.

The company didn't answer my calls, and their email responses were dismissive, stating that 'I agreed to the terms and conditions.'

The company's business model seems to be renting cheap cars and ripping off customers with imaginary damages. This aligns with the opinions of other customers. What makes me believe this even more is the company's push to work with my insurance provider to cover the costs. This is ridiculous and proof that it is a scam. Avoid at all costs.

Rented a car in Crete at the Souda Port . Ioulia Afentolidi was our representative, she was very professional and kind, answered all our questions and made it so easy and fast . She exceeded all our expectations of renting a car . We travel to Crete twice a year , so will make sure to contact Carwiz in the future. Dave and Michele Orluskie.

Car was not clean when I picked it up, could barely see out of the windshield due to someone smoking in the car previously.
Car worked fine until you have to drop it off at their depot.
They dont open before 9am and so no shuttle service to the airport.
There was nowhere to leave the keys so I left it in the petrol cap.
A representative rang me and I told him where the keys where and he said the car was fine and thank you.
I waited two months for my deposit return of $200, so I rang them and asked where it was.
The reply was we have charged you $200 for smoking in it!! Except it was not smoked in during the three days I had it - but was clear it was smoked in prior to my use.
These people are snake oil salesmen and should be avoided at all costs.

Robbing people in white gloves.After returning the car, I was charged 660 euros for damage to the glass.From what I read, most people had similar problems.The conclusion is that they constantly cheat customers out of money.People need to be warned against using this rental company. Don't use this rental company because you will be robbed with a smile on their face.

Trying to book a vehicle on the Carwiz website and it just kept getting stuck in the "return" window and no matter how many times we re-tried we were never able to proceed beyond the initial phase. Poor digital services will definitely impact your customer service and rental experience.

I'm furious with Carwiz! I returned my rental car after hours, following their procedure. The next day, they claimed there was a scratch and charged me for damages - 200 Euros. I wasn't there to verify this so-called damage. This feels like a scam to make easy insurance claims. The scratch was not there when I dropped off the car. This company is dishonest and takes advantage of customers. Avoid at all costs! Take thorough photos if you have no other choice but to use them. I will never rent from them again.
