Please don’t bother. I was really
excited to try it had a three month free trial from buying a product from them. After entering my trial code it clearly states 3 months free membership and in bold letters £0 today, subscription to be charged in may (3 months away), what happened? Charged £59 instantly. Centr did refund me by the end of the day by email, no apology from them.

Canceled within the free year and was…

Canceled within the free year and was charged anyway with no notice. don't sign up. UPDATE: I was refunded my annual fee because i canceled within the year, maybe? I did a credit card dispute as well, so not sure what resolved it. It was resolved to my satisfaction, though. I did change the rating from a 1 to a 4 because of the refund.

Be Careful,

Be Careful,
When you buy the machine they have you sign in and enter a credit card. 1 year later you will be charged without any notice and it is impossible to get ahold of anybody to get your money back

A sour end to a fruitful App

Its a real shame. I have had Centr for 2 years and the App itself has been useful in guiding and motivating me with my fitness goals.
Recent organisational changes have seen unsolicited charges and un-notified changes to my account. After fraud dept with my bank, freezes etc.. I have felt that there was a lack of transparent comms...
Alas, this is where my experience echoes a lot of others. Cancelling is a nightmare with a maze to cancel and unresponsive support staff.
If you are a UK citizen like me (and with Australian T&Cs for the App) i would strongly recommend utilising your statutory rights under UK law, and your rights under the Australian Consumer Code (ACC).

Taking your money and spamming your inbox to confuse you

As all other unfortunate fellows say, I was inundated with useless communication. NOT one of them containing a warning that, against my will, my subscription was being extended. Not a warning, not a "Thank you, payment received" as any normal, legitimate business would do. STAY AWAY

Sick of being Inundated with Unsolicited and Unwanted Emails

Although I no longer have a Centr subscription, they continue to inundate me with unsolicited and unwanted emails despite my repeated requests to them to please stop doing this to me. I have now had to block them.

As a result, my customer experience with this company has been so bad that I now have NO interest in ever giving them my money again.

The only reason I didn't give them zero stars is that this review website requires at least one star, or it won't let you submit a review.

Long line of scammed people

Looks like i am just the next person in a long line of scammed customers. I cancelled my subscription and 1 year later was charged. I tried to log in the website to see what was going on and it wanted me to commit to another circa £100 just to give me access to the platform that I apparently JUST PAID FOR by renewal that wasn't meant to. Sounding like a complete and utter SCAM to me.

Shame on Chris Hemsworth

Just a follow up from previous my post below - I received a refund from them for the balance from late Nevember 2024.
I did not show anger to them on their contact us page. I told them I thought I had cancelled before the free trial ended and would like to canceI now as I never used it. I cant rememder how I found the contact us page, sorry. My request seemed to have worked.

I have had the exact same thing happen to me as with all these complaints.
All Australians must contact AFCA (Australian Financial complaints Authority) on 1300931678, or go to their website (im not allowed to send the link on this platform) to make the complaint.
This is people power. This scam has been going on too long, so I am assuming AFCA is not aware of this issue with Centr.com

I hate to say but I've had a great experience with centr unlike everybody else. It seems. I get a email advising me of the auto renewal. Before it renews and I have no problem with talking to somebody in customer service. I love their workouts and all the other stuff they have and I think it's a very reasonable price for all they offer.

No reward for loyalty

The app offers some great workouts and I liked the recipe options too. My annual subscription was due to finish in November and I thought I would continue as the Black Friday offer was on with a 25% discount. However when I tried to renew I couldn’t and did an online chat with one of Centr’s employees. They told me as I was not a new member I was exempt from the discount. However on the Centr’s instagram page I commented on the exemption and they replied to say I was still entitled to the discount but again when I tried to apply for a continued annual membership with discount it wouldn’t process. I cancelled my membership and chose another app Fiit which incidentally is a great app. I am still receiving emails from Centr offering a 25% discount.

Don't ever sign up

Don't ever sign up. They will continue to charge you year after year even after you cancel, it's outrageous.
I hope Chris Hensworth is smiling knowing all the people he's ripping off.

They'll take your money whether you cancel or not

Sadly, joining the list of people here that have had money taken for years(!) after cancelling the trial.

I joined the trial like many - didn't see the benefit of using this over the others that are much cheaper so decided not to keep it. I tried cancelling in the app, but had to cancel via the website as the app didn't have that capability at the time. I cancelled my membership.

Here we are 4 years later, and I only find out that I'm still being charged when I received an email to say my subscription was about to be renewed (I've not had any other email from them since signing up 4 years ago!). I emailed to query it, only for them to very politely tell me I've never cancelled my membership, and they quite happily shared with how many times I had been billed since first signing up.

I'm so upset, as you can imagine, particularly knowing that I did actually cancel - I remember going through the process of this, being annoyed that I couldn't cancel in the app...

Please don't sign up unless you're absolutely sure you want to continue to be billed for this - because you will be regardless of cancelling it.

All good things from my experience

I have had nothing but a great experience with this app and company. I tried the free trial December 2022. I cancelled before renewal because I wasn't using it that much. No issues. I was not charged. I decided to give it another go a couple months later and ended up loving and using it a lot once I gave it a fair go. At some point in 2023 they had some technical issues and I wasn't able to log in for a couple days. They got it sorted quickly and have me an extra month on my subscription for the inconvenience. I confirmed that extra month earlier this year when I wasn't charged for renewal until one month later than I should have been charged so I know they kept their word with that. I've had to contact their customer service a couple times for minor things or questions and they always get back to me quickly and are very helpful. The app itself is fantastic. They have workouts for everyone, sleep sounds, meditation programs, recipes and articles. If I had to pick just one app for my wellness this would be it.

This company is so dodgy

This company is so dodgy. I didn't sign up, cant log in, cant find them to cancel. Been charged annually $120 on my Amex account. Only option now is to cancel Amex card. Cant contact them in any way.

Same story as the rest

Same story as the rest - I have been charged for years after using the free trial. I did cancel it, unfortunately didn’t clock the payments as they were coming out with several others. That’s totally on my and my lack of vigilance. What’s so awful though is their lack of response. I’ve emailed twice now to have my account deleted (it’s set up under an old email that I no longer have access to) and I’ve had zero response. So I need to raise this issue with my bank and hopefully they can halt this and all future charges.

Absolute scam

Absolute scam! Charges you $119 per year with no reminder, no emails - it was an offer from Amex during Covid. Both brands should be ashamed! I am disputing all charged

My most used app

Started in 2020, there's good programs no matter your level to get you started building the habit. Love the food and ease it makes shopping with zero waste, would say it pays for itself in that regard. I also never went back to the gym after everything opened as I'm fitter than I've ever been just using the app at home. My wife & I dont go a day without it now . We also wanted to try vegetarian for a while and made it so easy just switching the option on the app. Love it. Most of the bad reviews seem to be people forgetting to cancel their free trial rather than any experience of using the app.

Same story as the rest

Same story as the rest. They’ve been charging my card for years without me consenting, receiving any form of notification or anything. I am devastated. AVOID AT ALL COSTS. They are scammers and I intend to take this as far as I can go to get my money back, they are criminals.
