My husband I I visited Nomad in Manchester after I saw a posting on Instagram by Levinson Wood, the explorer recommended them. I am going on a photographic expedition with him and Leica camera to Morocco in March but my husband and I are off to India in February.
We have been to India many times before and nobody has ever recommended having rabies vaccines to us .
I read about the poor lady who died from Rabies from a tiny puppy scratch while on holiday in Morocco in 2025 I realised it was important to be vaccinated.
After doing some research we saw that 36% of rabies cars are in India so we both decided to have the vaccine.
We went to Nomad in Manchester and saw the specialist nurse Anna.
She was really helpful and reassuring as well as being delightful.
We go back for our final vaccination in two weeks a week before we depart for India.
I highly recommend Nomad. The service and care are exceptional

Having grown up with, and for my adult life I have always had a real Christmas tree and vowed I would never have an artificial one.
This year I read The Great Tree Story by Levinson Wood and it got me thinking ‘trees are meant to be grown, not chopped down’.
I started to research artificial Christmas trees and Christmas Tree World had numerous 5 star reviews and a superb selection of trees for all budgets.
I decided upon the Pre lit 8 foot Ultra Mountain Pine which looked fabulous and very realistic.
I was delighted when it arrived, it was so easy to assemble, the instructions how to display the branches are really helpful, there’s even a video showing you how to do this. When I turned the lights on I was absolutely delighted. The tree is magical and so realistic, so much so that my husband thought it was a real tree.
In previous years it’s been a real chore unwinding the lights and then putting them on the tree but this tree saves you all the bother and effort of doing that so it’s an absolute pleasure decorating the tree. The fairy at the top was made for my 95 year old Mother when she was a little girl. I think she’s just as delighted as I to adorn such a beautiful, ethical Christmas Tree

I have bought several designs from Avalon Home since I saw an editorial about them in the Christmas Issue of Good Housekeeping magazine.
I already have the Green Stag set but it is so much admired that I ordered three sets of napkins and table runners for presents for friends as well as The Nutcracker set for the MD of an iconic world renowned hotel in Scotland.
The service from Avalon is superb and the quality is excellent. Delivery is fast too even in the Christmas run up.
I believe from their marketing they are a young family owned small business and everything is made in the UK which appeals to me greatly.
Going forward it would be good if they offered gift wrapping too but give it time and they may do just that.
Do follow the washing instructions as these products are finest quality table linen.

I discovered Chef Laurie on Instagram and started following him. We have used private chefs several times before and they have been good but I wouldn’t book any of them again.
I booked Chef Laurie for an Italian themed summer dinner party.
I chose a six course menu and Laurie was really accommodating because two guests had dietary issues so he substituted dishes for them.
Communication before the event was really good. Laurie always replied to any queries promptly.
He arrived on time and set everything up beautifully. It was a gorgeous summer evening and Laurie served us delicious canapés in the garden.
Dinner was absolutely superb and Laurie left my kitchen spotless.
He is polite and friendly without being intrusive, which a previous private chef had been.
Everyone commented how fabulous the food was and how likeable Laurie is.
I have re booked Laurie for my husband’s birthday in January and very much look forward to another fabulous private dining experience with Laurie.

Ordered the Pumpkin table runner and eight napkins. They are absolutely gorgeous and were much admired for my Sunday lunch party. I love the fact these products are designed and made entirely in England by a small business. Great sevuce and speedy delivery too

We have taken many Jet 2 package holidays in the past, nearly always from their Indulgent Escapes selection but none since Covid due to us finding a beautiful six bedroom hotel in Lazio which we have been going to two or three times a year since 2022. However when we book to go there we always fly to Rome with Jet 2 because they are the best of the chartered airlines, their Twilight check in service is excellent.
Last year I collapsed while boarding the plane home and was ambulances to hospital in Rome.
Jet 2 were really helpful in a very stressful situation staying with my husband while our luggage was taken off the plane and helping him find out where I had been taken. When we returned once I was fit to fly, despite Rome being a very busy airport, when we checked in we were assigned a member of staff who looked after us until we boarded the plane.
The office staff in the UK were very helpful when I had to claim for the flights etc from the insurance.

This year in April I booked a package holiday to Afitos this month with Jet 2 and we have just returned from it.
The airport and airline staff are professional, polite and helpful.
When we landed in Greece we booked private transfers to take us to and from the hotel and everything went very smoothly.
The four star Achtis hotel was really lovely, I cannot understand though why it isn’t in the Jet 2 Luxe collection because it should be, it is also extremely good value for money, perhaps too good, (I told the owner he should put his prices up) so much so we have booked to go back next September.
Jet 2 emailed us prior to the end of our holiday with a money off your next holiday offer and I went and booked another holiday to Italy with them in May.
I cannot fault Jet 2 and as long as they have the hotels I want to go to in their collection, I will book package holidays only with them.

Order the red flapper dress for a 1920’s night. The only sizes available were an 8 and a 10 which is perfect for me. The last dress I ordered from Roman in a size small was way too big and had to be taken in so I ordered an 8 and a 10.
Unfortunately although the clothes are well displayed in the website with videos they do not give the height or size or the model.
The dresses arrived the next day and were perfect. They fitted practically exactly the same except the 10 was big on the shoulders so I kept the 8 and returned the 10.
The dress was much admired and I am delighted with it.
Roman have not confirmed they have received my return, which they should have by now.
I have the proof of sending but there is no tracking number on it.
I hope to receive a refund for my return soon

Very pleased with selling my second Dolce and Gabbana item through Vestiaire.
The only thing I don't like is I researched the prices before posting my clothes on the website. Vestiaire 'recommended' a much lower price which I ignored but i still got emails stating their recommended price.
My clothes sold for less than I originally listed them for but a an acceptable price still well above the Vestiaire recommended price.
Therefore I suggest, do your research, be realistic and decide a minimum price you want to accept for you item.
Communication was very good and the whole process was very easy.
I would recommend Vestiare for your high end items.

I have bought from Valentte before snd liked their products but this is the first order I have placed for some time which amounted to nearly £90.
I ordered 4 read diffusers for my Mother and mother in law who are both in their 90’s. Two Cherry and two Sicilian Lemon, plus two of the foot spa gift box es.
Delivery was fast and communication was good.
When the box arrived it was impossible to tell which was which read diffuser. There was nothing on the boxes to tell you.
You had to open the box, take out the reads from the box, take the card out and carefully turn the liquid bottle upside down to see the bottom of the bottle which was the only place I could find that listed the scent.
This is obviously to save on the cost of packaging but it would be so simple and cheap to produce pretty labels for each scent and put them on the outside of the box.
I checked the foot spa gift boxes and both jars of the foot scrub had leaked, not a lot but again the jar had not been done up tightly enough.
As these are going to be gifts, I cannot comment on the longevity or quality of the products , which used to be lovely. Reading the bad reviews of Valentte on Trustpilot, I fear this company has become a victim of its own success. .
Sadly I am unlikely to order from them again.

Love these candles, they burn really well and the scents are fabulous. Bought several of the paint pots for going home presents for a college reunion and all my girlfriends loved them. They make super presents.

They loose a star because you on are hold for such a long time but when I finally got through Teresa was very helpful and professional.

We've been with Octopus for several years now. Very easy to contact them and the staff are very helpful. Competitive rates too and you aren't left on the phone for hours on end.

I ordered two of the ceramic Woodland bluebell candles. They smell gorgeous and the pots are just gorgeous. They are not the cheapest candles you can buy but they compare easily with the likes of Jo Malone or Neom but not only smell lovely, they burn beautifully, no sooty smoke at all and the wax burns really evenly so you aren't left with a load of un melted wax around the candle edge. Delivery was good too. Arrived well packed within a couple of days of ordering.
Will definitely be ordering some more.
