This is what I sent them

This is what I sent them! I really hate it when you do this crap! It is freaking overboard. If I have an issue, I'll deal with it. Now you've cost me this product as I can't get back to it. Thanks for nothing!!!!

Attempted mortgage fraud

We've been receiving mail to our address with someone else's name regarding mortgage information. My wife and I own our home outright. We had been sending the mail back, "Return to sender, Not at this address". Today, we received another letter from Wells Fargo mortgage department. I contacted them and gave them the name of the person and my address. I assured them that they could verify with the state that my wife and I are the owners of this home. They claim they don't have information for the person named on the mailings connected to our address. Yet, they are sending mail to that person at this address. Unfortunately this is a tactic used in mortgage fraud/property theft. WF was not helpful in any way in resolving this. The letters are confirmed as coming from their bank yet they claim they have no way to stop this from continuing without an added burden placed on my wife and I.

Poor Communication and Terrible Customer Service

The corporate office and the employees at my branch are incompetent. They do not collaborate and provide conflicting information. The website does not work properly. My whole experience applying for a credit card with Wells Fargo has been an absolute nightmare.

The unknown tactics with Wells Fargo

I had good credit score, before I applied for a credit card with Wells Fargo. As soon as, The promotion ended "No interest rate for 18 months". Well Fargo imposed the highest interest rate possible! Then following that Wells fargo decreased the credit limit that I was at first entitled too. Wells Fargo decrease the credit limit three times in which it reflected a high credit card usage. That's when my credit score did a rapid decrease across all three credit bureau's. Well Fargo is inconsistance in it's operation management.

Wells Fargo customer service is completely unprofessional and incompetent

I would give a zero star rating if possible. My experience recently on a question I had was that one customer service rep disconnected my phone call. A second lied to me. A third person gave me incorrect information. And after 4 phone calls I complained to a Wells Fargo rep through a phone number I obtained about poor customer service as above. She recorded my experiences and told me it would be investigated . Then I received a letter about financial aspects of my loan which I already knew. The investigator did not at all respond to my complaint about horrendous customer service. In my opinion I can’t imagine how any company could do any worse then Wells Fargo in terms of listening to customers concerns, being courteous and professional and providing valid responses to customer questions.

This is the worst bank ever in history

This is the worst bank ever in history. They don’t even have a retention manager when I asked for one. And when I asked for options for payment plan, they said they would close out my accounts which meant destroying my credit history. Before they ended the phone, the manager quickly hung up the phone without any proper manner. Don’t ever go for this bank!

Horrible customer service because of AI phone operators

Like what seems to be the case with most companies, annoying AI robot secretary that makes you answer several questions that does little to help you. Then when you do get a live representative, you are required to repeat the same answers to the same annoying questions. By then you are frustrated and taking your anger out on an innocent phone teller. I hope the universe punishes everyone of these money grubber top executives who have ruined customer service and turned this into the "Angry Economy," I believe they are not there to help but to deliberately frustrate customers so the client just hangs up and gives up

I wish for Wells Fargo to close down immediately

Wells Fargo should be out of business should not be allowed to have a license from the government to be a bank it is only a joke everything they do is and stake after stake then their customer support is staffed with incompetent arrogant useless individuals that have no authority to do anything whatsoever. I wish for Wells Fargo to close down immediately and I regret ever opening an account there what a nightmare!

My experience was misleading …

My experience was unfortunately much more stressful and frustrating than I anticipated. I relied on guidance provided by the manager, Magi, and members of his staff, but I later came to believe that some of the information I received was misleading or not sufficiently clear.

Based on that guidance, I was encouraged to purchase products and services that I ultimately did not need. Unfortunately, this resulted in significant financial and personal stress, including considerable anxiety and sleepless nights while trying to resolve the situation.

I reached out to WF to address my concerns, but was informed that the funds are currently frozen and that there is nothing that can be done at this time. While I understand that there may be limitations on what can be resolved immediately, the overall process has been extremely frustrating.

I hope management will take this feedback seriously and review how information is communicated to customers, particularly when financial decisions are involved. Customers should be able to make informed decisions based on accurate, transparent, and clearly explained information. Greater clarity and accountability could help prevent others from experiencing the same level of stress and frustration that I have experienced. If you want, I can also make this more firm and complaint-like, while still keeping it professional and credible.

20+ years of loyalty from me, not even an ounce of empathy from them

Years of loyalty meant nothing when I actually needed help. Is there less than a 1 star rating???

I have been a loyal Wells Fargo customer for years, and this experience has completely changed the way I view this bank.

I am going through a financial hardship and fell significantly behind on my credit card. I fully understand that I am responsible for the debt, and I have never asked Wells Fargo to simply make it disappear. In fact, I have repeatedly contacted them because I WANT to resolve the account, repay what I owe, and get onto a payment plan that I can realistically maintain.

Other creditors I have worked with during this hardship have been willing to offer meaningful assistance, including dramatically reduced interest rates and affordable repayment options. Wells Fargo has been a completely different experience.

The option Wells Fargo has continued to offer me essentially requires me to repay the full balance over five years while still charging interest. I have repeatedly explained that I am experiencing genuine financial hardship and specifically asked whether they could reduce the interest rate further or provide another option that would make the payment sustainable.

What has been most upsetting isn’t simply that I don’t like the terms they offered. It is how incredibly difficult it has been to get anyone to meaningfully review my situation.

I asked for my case to be escalated and was told that it was. I then waited more than a week expecting someone to review my circumstances or contact me. As an important August 31 deadline continued getting closer, I repeatedly followed up. I spoke with representatives and multiple managers, only to ultimately be routed right back to the same department and essentially end up where I started.

I cannot understand what the point of an “escalation” is if a customer waits more than a week and is eventually sent back to the same place with no meaningful additional review.

I have made it incredibly clear that I am trying to pay this debt. I’m not disputing that I owe it. I’m not asking Wells Fargo to erase it. I’m asking a financial institution I have been loyal to for years to work with me during a legitimate hardship so that I can actually succeed in paying them back.

Instead, I have felt like my circumstances, my history as a customer, and my repeated attempts to find a solution simply do not matter.

With my August 31 deadline now only days away, I have felt forced to seek help outside of Wells Fargo because their normal customer service and escalation channels have gotten me nowhere. I have now filed formal complaints with the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau, the Office of the Comptroller of the Currency, and the Better Business Bureau regarding my experience and the handling of my hardship requests.

It should not take complaints to multiple outside organizations just to get a bank to meaningfully review the situation of a longtime customer who is actively asking for help and actively trying to repay what she owes.

I’m sharing this publicly because I think prospective customers deserve to know what my experience has been. Being a loyal customer is easy when everything is going well. The real test of a financial institution is how it treats you when you’re struggling and genuinely trying to make things right.

Unfortunately, this experience has made me feel that my years of loyalty to Wells Fargo meant very little when I actually needed their help.

I am still hoping Wells Fargo will have someone with actual authority review my situation before August 31 and offer a sustainable resolution. If they do, I will gladly update this review to reflect how they ultimately handled it.

Worst bank and even worse customer service

Absolute joke no help no resolution. Allows fraudulent charges to elderly peoples accounts on fixed incomes then won’t stand but their claims to protect customers. Exact quote was, “Wells Fargo isn’t going to take that loss for the fraudulent charges made”. Worst bank and customer service ever!!!!

Grave Robbers

As my father was in the process of dying, I took over managing his affairs. And, after his passing, I became trustee of his estate. One of the first things I did ,was consolidate his various accounts into the trust account, and close out all outstanding debt.

For some reason, my father had a couple of accounts with Wells Fargo. I worked with a very nice local banker, to close the accounts and make sure that there was no outstanding debt.

4 years later, I received a letter meant for him, informing him of debt on an over-draft.

How?

Given their well documented exploitation of shady practices, how and why would anyone back with Wells Fargo?

Maybe it's time for the shareholder of this institution to take a loss?

I called for one question

I called for one question, verified with the automated system my SSN, got on the phone with a rep, 4 minutes later still verifying info. Finally said I have one question can I ask it, reviews it and give me a partial answer, the rest took some digging, I'm fine with that. 4 minutes of silence, I finally asked if anyone is there? She responded yes. I asked to please just email a response. Here's where it gets ridiculous, she said she can't do that and the only way to resolve is stay on the line. I said fine, thank you and she interrupted, before you go I have to complete my assessment, started asking me about my primary residence, what kind of purchases we're going to make in the future, etc. I said maam I'm not doing this I called for one question I'm not answering these personal questions, she again said I am going to ask these questions before the call is over. I said this call is over and disconnected with her still talking. What an unbelievable horrible customer service experience/policy. Will be looking to move my account.

wells Fargo…customer service is S**t

I have been a member of wells Fargo for years and multiple times through out my life time. Unfortunately their customer service has gone to complete shit. They now have hidden charges and fee’s that unless you looked for it online you wouldn’t know otherwise and after attempted to do a stop payment was not even allowed a one time courtesy of my fee waved. I express my standing and that this was unfortunate considering the business banking account I was Due to establish but after having this experience ( even once asking to be transferred to a supervisor assuming they would have more understanding that I get My notices and correspondence in the mail and had never received anything expressing that change ( effect as of a few weeks ago 🙄) and still they had zero concern and had an abrasive attitude and “ not going to do anything just because I didnt Go online to look up if there was changes made in the last few weeks.)
My business is in customer service and experience and when I tell you well Fargo has gone to S**t it’s an understatement. I’ll be closing all accounts and going to Chase. At least they have had less data breaches and law suits🙄
