Pet Care Advice
Customer Hub
Pet emergencies can happen at any time – including when your regular vet is closed.
That’s why our nationwide network of out-of-hours pet emergency clinics are open through the night, at weekends and on bank holidays, so we’re ready and waiting to provide expert pet emergency care when your regular vet is having some time off.
Our pet emergency clinics are the pet equivalent of A&E and our purpose is to give you and your pet the care and support you deserve, at the time you need it most, whether it’s four in the morning or in the middle of Sunday lunch.
Vets Now provides this trusted service to more than 1000 veterinary practices across the UK — from over 60 dedicated out-of-hours clinics and two 24/7 pet emergency hospitals. In total, we treat around 200,000 small animals every year — our highly-skilled team works hard throughout the night, weekends and Bank Holidays. So whether you’re in Aberdeen, Belfast or Portsmouth we’re there for you and your pet when you need us most.
We’ve also pioneered other ways to help pets, pet owners and the veterinary profession, such as our comprehensive referrals service and providing our staff with industry-leading training and development opportunities. We also support the pet blood transfusion charity, Pet Blood Bank UK. Meanwhile, our two hospitals — in Glasgow and Manchester — are home to some of the UK’s leading specialists in the field of emergency and critical care and provide care 24 hours a day, seven days a week.

They were there for when we needed them most with our poorly dog. The person at the end of the telephone was very polite, even if he was scottish and I did have a little bit of trouble understanding them we got there in the end. At the vets they were brillant and caring and our dog got the treatment he needed and what we should do next day if we were worried.

Highway robbery. Did nothing other than an anti sickness shot when our dog was puking blood, paid £500 for ten mins, and ended up. sleepless night and back at our vet who thoroughly examined him and provided meds and an explantation first thing the next morning, we are lucky we didn’t loose our beloved dog . Disgusting place. I will be contacting the owners of our vet office to explain what happened so they stop referring clients to this place. Should be ashamed of yourselves.

I was actually happy with the service and the vet . But this is very very expensive.
Even if you put aside the consultation charge of £289 a claims handling fee of £25 it’s a bit much to then charge
10 paracetamol at £40
Anti sickness jab at £100
Just be aware of this .

On Sunday 10th November we arranged an appointment for our dog Ollie, as I thought our usual vet was closed. We arrived and the nurse checked Ollie prior to seeing the vet.
The vet came over and introduced herself and asked why we haven’t gone to our usual vet, I said they were closed on Sunday. Apparently she informed us they were open, if we wanted we could give them a ring, which we did and got an afternoon appointment. We can’t thank the two that were on duty enough for their honesty and professionalism. This saved us a lot of money, many many many thanks

Had to have our beautiful precious girl put to sleep late in the evening. The vet who answered the phone was very sympathetic and helpful. We then arrived shortly after with our beautiful dog. After a short wait we was called in and seen. The vet (I can’t remember his name ) was absolutely amazing. Made the whole
Process of having to say goodbye to our baby a lot less stressful. He was very caring and was great with daisy. The whole time reassuring us we was doing the right thing for her, explaining everything and being so lovely. We will
Always be grateful that our last moments spend with daisy wasn’t rushed or too stressful, although as upsetting as they were still.

Quite simply - if it was not for Hollie on Sunday evening - our beautiful cat would not have survived being hit by a car. Her compassion toward our cat was clear from the outset. Her professionalism confident and empathetic. A clear plan for our cat’s treatment was made clear and the predicament we were in so compassionately communicated. Next step treatments required referral to a Specialist practice (Hamilton’s at Cressex) and Hollie arranged it all. From arrival to departure our cat was given the best care and we are in no doubt this helped save her life. Our humble thanks.

If I could give 0 starts I would. The worst vets I have ever seen. Been waiting for almost 3 hrs no updates what is going on as everyone seemed to disappear and not treating animals in waiting room. Luckily our dog wasn’t as bad as one of them there and I was shocked that they were going to see us before him - which I have made point and asked them to see dog who was in much worse condition after dog attack. After waiting for almost 3 hrs to be seen our dog haven’t got proper treatment and had to take her to our vets in the morning and they had to clean her wound properly and do 3 stitches. Vets now sad she doesn’t need any stitches and sent us home with painkillers and antibiotics.
I would definitely not take our dog here ever again!!!
