Find An Emergency Vet
Pet Care Advice
Customer Hub
Pet emergencies can happen at any time – including when your regular vet is closed.
That’s why our nationwide network of out-of-hours pet emergency clinics are open through the night, at weekends and on bank holidays, so we’re ready and waiting to provide expert pet emergency care when your regular vet is having some time off.
Our pet emergency clinics are the pet equivalent of A&E and our purpose is to give you and your pet the care and support you deserve, at the time you need it most, whether it’s four in the morning or in the middle of Sunday lunch.
Vets Now provides this trusted service to more than 1000 veterinary practices across the UK — from over 60 dedicated out-of-hours clinics and two 24/7 pet emergency hospitals. In total, we treat around 200,000 small animals every year — our highly-skilled team works hard throughout the night, weekends and Bank Holidays. So whether you’re in Aberdeen, Belfast or Portsmouth we’re there for you and your pet when you need us most.
We’ve also pioneered other ways to help pets, pet owners and the veterinary profession, such as our comprehensive referrals service and providing our staff with industry-leading training and development opportunities. We also support the pet blood transfusion charity, Pet Blood Bank UK. Meanwhile, our two hospitals — in Glasgow and Manchester — are home to some of the UK’s leading specialists in the field of emergency and critical care and provide care 24 hours a day, seven days a week.

Absolutely amazing practice. They made my visit as pleasant as it could be, they were so helpful, polite and knowledgeable. Constantly kept me up to date which was really reassuring. I really could not thank them enough.

Despite the sadness of the event – one of our cats had to be put down – it was dealt with in a compassionate manner. I had all the time in the world to deal with William's departure, and the surgeon, Yvonne, and her nurse did it in the most peaceful way – and took time to listen to me afterwards.
Absolutely brilliant. So much care - thank you.

Easily accessible, seen quickly and treated without delay. Very pricey without insurance!

We had to rush our pup to the vets because he ate something that was very bad for dogs. The young lady who took care of Archie was brilliant, kind and reassuring and told us exactly what was going to happen next. Couldn’t have been more caring 😁

Very quick to act . A lovely cup of tea . Helpful team . Maybe appeared expensive compared to a Caesarian on a cow starting at 10 pm and finishing at 10 past midnight cost for vet £450 all taking place in a cold barn.
Teasel being stitched came to £1500 including meds .

What a disgusting company taking advantage of people's lowest points of possibly losing a friend and companion, and you're charged a fortune for the privilege. My friend's dog was struggling to breath but WE had to transport her in our car not knowing if she would make it, which after driving her back to the day vet the next day she passed away. To help my friend (who is on disability benefit) we paid for the last £300, however as their machine wasn't working we gave our bank details and the money left our account. Their accounts keep chasing even though the money has been paid in full and even threatened not to release the ashes !!!! and as we are not the owners they will not engage with us about the monies leaving OUR account ?. Unfortunately there doesn't seem to be another option otherwise they would need to look at themselves. Unfortunately this sounds like a monopoly and in the moment all you're thinking about is the wellbeing of your pet. Whilst I'd like to think the veterinary staff really do care, as a company it seems to be ALL ABOUT THE MONEY.

As this was an emergency booking, the whole process was quick. From the initial call down to getting to the Vets. Exactly as it should be when you have an emergency case. As always the price is always a shock, but that is not just at this vets. That would be my only gripe is the pricing of Vets and Insurance in general. Don't know why it has to be so ridiculously steep, no wonder there are so many abandoned dogs around
