Richardson & Starling Reviews 

As we were away during the two weeks that Richardson & Starling were in our home replacing the floor joists and boards and also applying three coats of epoxy resin over the concrete solum then we can't comment on the actual work done.

But, we can comment on the condition our home was left in regarding dirty marks and scrapes on the walls and doors.
There was also a pile of screws scattered along the window ledge and a snapped cord pull from one of our Venetian blinds.
Although the job was in the kitchen/living room area they had been in the bedrooms and made use of the en-suite as well as the other bathroom.
The bathroom floor vinyl was subject to epoxy resin drips marks and marks from dirty footwear.
There was a hand towel which had been used to wipe dirty hands on and then screwed up and placed back on it's rail. A discarded centre from a toilet roll and an empty hand wash bottle were left above the hand basin.

To finish off, we then found out our Shark vacuum had been taken off it's stand , used and full of dirt etc., and then thrown back into the corner of the cupboard with the cable just thrown on top of it.
As I said before, we can't comment on the standard of work that was done to remove and replace the whole floor, but the conditions left behind were pretty poor.

The developer can confirm that this was as I stated.

I was worried about having work done in my home for a few reasons,one being my rescue dog and cat who are extremely nervous but the noise was minimal and the work was carried out in 2 days,the men that done the work Brian and Aiden were extremely nice and friendly which helped a lot.they done a fantastic job and left the house immaculate.i was worried I would have a lot of mess to clean but they done it all. It was a pleasure having them in my home and the work they done was fantastic.

From the survey to finding the issue with condensation. I have been in contact with Zoe and Emma who are very helpful. Today the vent was installed, Irvine arrived on time, very friendly and did a great job. Left the room tidy. 5⭐️ Would recommend this company.

Having had a lot of work carried out by R&S (Aberdeen), I have been happy with the service provided from the start. Mark, the surveyor, was excellent, going beyond what I had asked for to let me know about a much bigger issue he had discovered. Rachael in the office has been brilliant at communicating and very helpful when timescales have changed. Davie and Neil were brilliant workmen, very tidy and with excellent attention to detail. I was kept updated at all times - the work ran on, as it always does, but I was kept apprised of this and all the work was completed to a high standard. Any questions were answered quickly and efficiently, and any problems solved effectively. I would highly recommend.

Thanks so much for sorting our Kitchen, please pass on my gratitude to Shawn (Joiner), his colleague, Garry (suveyor) and Paul (not sure think foreman). Although we had one or two challenges I did feel that your team had our back which is really reassuring. Also, you Zoe and Emma (office staff) have been great too, good one :)

Very disappointed in the level of service provided. We paid in advance for a survey and had to chase for the report and then no one responded when we asked for additional scope to be added.

Just had work done to replace the flooring in my disabled wet room. The level of workmanship shows that the guys Norrie and Paul are a credit to the company. Both did a phenomenal job and have been neat and tidy and kept me informed of the work all the way through the job. I’m beyond pleased at the work the 2 lads have done today to fix a very damp and unsafe floor. So thank you its very much appreciated what you both did.

Prompt and comprehensive service and managed a delicate situation in my elderly parents house very professionally. Neil and team were first class dealing with a major dry rot issue.

From first telephone with Ashley, then Jodi who were both so pleasant and helpful. Then Surveyor Jason and all tradesmen who called were on time, totally professional,polite and helpful. I would have no hesitation in recommending this company. I used company 27 years ago and it still holds the same high standards today .

Excellent service from Richardson & Starling. Recently had a bathroom renovation completed within 4 days, all done to a very high standard.

From Roddys initial survey to completion of the job we were kept informed all the way through about what was being carried out and the tradesmen were excellent, friendly and very professional. Would like to mention and thank Brian, Jordan and Jamie for the work carried out, we would highly recommend Richardson & Starling.

David A, the plasterer On time, friendly, great job and place left very tidy. He explained what he was going to do and nothing seemed to be a bother. Would recommend him and the company.

Having previously had a not great experience getting damp proofing done, I was super reluctant to have it done again.

Having walls cut out within your house in more than one room at a time is extremely intrusive, you have several tradespeople in your house plumbers joiners plasterers and its messy loud and the dust is awful.

I really was dreading it, however as soon as I opened the door to Norrie and Paul I was instantly made to feel at ease.

Norrie explained what they were going to do and in what timescale and kept that level of communication up with me the entire time they were here.

Both Norrie and Paul were respectful of our property realising to us it is our home , they tidied up behind them as they went to minimise the mess, they even notified us when they were about to drill or use the nail gun so that we could take our dog a walk as he doesnt like the noise.

Both Norrie and Paul were extremely conscientious, ,communicative, neat, tidy and also respectful of our needs over the 5 days they attended.

On top of all this the level of finish on their work was exceptional.
Many other tradespeople could learn from theise guys
I would 100% recommend either of these guys
to do a job.

First class diligent workers from start to finish. First day Thursday David and Daniel never stopped and then storm Eowyn took over. On the Monday John, Arran and Lewis and once again superb. All men very polite and pleasant and explained what was happening. Roddy and Steven made sure our work was carried our to their standards. Left house and pathways very clean.
