Complete waste of time and money-DO NOT SEND THEM YOUR PHONE
I wish I'd read some reviews before sending my iPhone to a company out to scam people!
After being quoted £119 for my iPhone 4s 16GB I waited for my free post packet which was an envelope with a little bit of bubble wrap, not something I wanted to put my phone in and put in a postbox. Not wanting the phone to be damage in transit I sent it in the original box and paid £7 for recorded delivery. After waiting for a few days I had an email saying the quote had been amended due to "water damage" so the new offer is £24. the phone is immaculate and works perfectly. I see from previous reviews I am not alone in this. I requested the phone be sent back in the box i sent it in. I received it in an envelope without the box so the resale price has now been decreased and their answer was that they do not return accessories (I was not aware a box was an accessory!)
I have expressed my utter dissatisfaction to them but I'm sure they are used to the sort of strongly worded emails they have received from me.

10/10
£79 for a handset that would have been a desktop paper weight other wise. Easy process totally impressed!
Highly recommended.
Good service after having been messed about by one of their competitors
I was shocked to see the poor experiences people have had with this company. I have used them twice and both times I have had no problems. Good communication, and best of all they have paid me on both occasions the original quote offered. The last time I used them, it was after I had been messed around by one of their competitors, which had wasted a lot my time and caused me whole lot of frustration. Fortunately I got my phone back and Mobilephoneexchange gave me a fair deal so thank you for the service I received. If you replicate my experience with everyone, I'm sure you would be top of the list.
Very disappointed in this rip off company!
Sent an Iphone 4s back with them agreeing to pay me £115, upon receipt they said it had water damage and only offered £24! Complete and utter rip off company. The phone was imaculate and in full working order with no water damage! this company should be out of business!
no problems
quoted £120 for blackberry Q10 through EE (Didn't know they were in partnership with these!! - if I knew would have avoided as after a bad experience with Cash4Phones last year, I always run checks on companies and their score and reviews are just as bad as Cash4Phones) but sent Monday Received Cheque for £120 Saturday.
am I lucky? - Probably but got paid out in quick time so cant complain.
A complete and utter con and disappointment.
I had my phone valued at £124, inspection cost from company afterward, £24!! My phone was an iPhone 4s in complete immaculate condition I even sent the cover that I had for it as no longer required. I've been so appalled by the inspection cost and have tried to e-mail the company. All three e-mail address I have tried have been declined and so I am going to have to phone tomorrow to try and get my phone back. I certainly will be making many a complaint until the phone is returned into me. They claim that there was a lock on the phone but I reset to factory settings.
Absolutely disgusted!!

Appalling ethics
I used mobile phone exchange as they promised to give me the best price from my iPhone 4S 32 gb
They drop the price from £128 to £26 citing water damage on the phone. When i phoned to query this the operator said the phone wasn't damaged and it was in full working condition but the indicator was red for the water damage
This is in direct contradiction to the company's website which says only water damaged phones would not be accepted this phone was not water damaged
I have asked the phone to be returned and they agreed but said it could take up to 5 days
I also tried to email to query this further but none of the three email addresses on the company's website work!
However if you do want no end of stress confusion lost money due to packaging costs then this is the company for you

Con Artists!! Avoid
I have just sent my iPhone 4S in Perfect working condition. They offered £128 for it online and then gave me some ridiculous statement 'Water indicator red or missing(6524117_61_1.jpeg)' and offered £27 after they receives my product. What a joke. I have no reason to waste time slagging a genuine company off but when somebody tries to pull fast one it makes me so mad. People
Work hard to earn the money to buy these
Products and scam artists like these are trying to cash in on people who may not have the time or otherwise to challenge such actions . AVOID AT ALL COSTS..!!

ADVOID AT ALL COSTS !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I have a perfect condition IPhone 4S 32GB. They offered £139 for. I then receive an email saying it is worth £34 because of "large amount of pixels were bleeding". which was was not correct. When i phoned them up to tell them to send my phone back as it was clearly in perfect condition they then advised they could offer me £69.
The mistake I made was choosing them in the first place. I should have read the poor reviews they got and chosen a different company. Lessons learned

Avoid at all costs!!!
This company are in partnership with Vodafone, as Vodafone buy back. I sent them an IPhone 4S on a Thursday via special delivery, which was signed for on the Friday morning. On Sunday I receive an email saying they had not received my phone and the offer had expired. I contacted them by phone and was told that this was an error and not to worry. Later that day I received an email saying that they would only pay £31 a fraction of the £125 quote. When I enquired as to why, I was told it was locked to iCloud. I then explained this was not the case and their operative immediately offered me £90 as there was excessive wear and tear. I requested the phone was returned. I then sent the phone to mazuma, who paid the full quote of £120 straight into my bank account within a few hours of receiving the phone - it was in mint condition and not locked to iCloud.
I would urge anyone to avoid this company! Read the other reviews and be warned!!!!!

terrible service and care
I sent my iphone4s to them by special delivery in their packaging but wrapped internally with cardboard. First they stated they had not received it two days after they had. Then I had to wait several days for it to be tested receiving an automated email saying again they were waiting for it to arrive. After emailing them again I'm offered less than third of the original quote as there was apparent lcd damage, but they couldn't 100% confirm as the photo's from the warehouse didn't show this but it would be sent for re-testing. I asked for it's return which they did. On opening the undamaged packet I find the outer metal casing pitted and damaged, which wasn't the condition I sent it to them in. So now I have lost about £100 on my property thanks to their carelessness, swapping of parts or deliberate damage as I didn't accept their very low offer with no proof. Is their any official channels to complain about this disgusting business practice?

ABSOLUTE JOKES! SPREAD THE WORD!!!
Complete con company
Took them 2 weeks to show my phone as received, then offered me £33 for the phone (iPhone 4S 16gb) in full working order. They stated it was water damaged (it wasn't), they also said it was cracked (it wasn't) and that Find my iPhone was still enabled (it wasn't!). I didn't even give them the satisfaction of trying to offer me more, I've just demanded my phone to be sent back. Don't send it to them!! It's not worth it! Take a small hit on the price and go to a reputable company.
Very slow service
Sent my phone off via the freepost option in 14th oct, I have not received any info from them regarding my phone, rang them up and emailed them and been told it could take another 21 days due to a backlog at their warehouse. Starting to worry now as £182 is a lot too lose. Never had this problem with other mobile buying sites. Never use this again.
DO NOT EVER USE THIS COMPANY!!!!!!
Please please please do not ever even consider using this company! They will say your phone is damaged whatever condition it is in. They are a bunch of thieving b******s!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I wish I had just thrown my phone in the bin rather than send it off to these!
PLEASE REPORT THESE PEOPLE TO WATCHDOG AND TRADING STANDARDS!!
This cannot continue. They need to be put out of business.
Thank you
Avoid at all costs!!
I sent my i phone 4s 32gb to this company as they offered £182. The phone was in full working order and there wasn't a mark on it. Luckily I sent it special delivery as they tried to tell me they hadn't received the phone after 7 days of me sending it. So I went on the post office website and copied the delivery paperwork that they had signed and emailed to them. The had the phone 5 days earlier. When I sent this, they then contacted me and said it was an I phone 4 (not S) and only 16gb not (32) they also claimed that the screen and casing was scratched and damaged thus offering £67. I contacted them telling them that the phone I sent was an s and 32gb with no damage and also sent the IMEI number as I had the original paperwork. I also told them I had photographed the phone before sending and there was no damage! They contacted me back apologising for the mix up and said they had confused it with another phone. They also said they had now inspected it again and it had water damage! No it didn't, again I told them this and demanded they return my phone in the condition it was sent and that I wasn't paying. Again they contacted me saying that the water damage looked like it had come from me having it in the kitchen whilst cooking (yeah I regularly stir my boiling pasta with my phone... Thought that was the norm!) I have now had my phone returned And sent to 02 who have given me the full value! Avoid this company, they try anything to pay the lowest amount!
Wow- they operate the perfect con! And they are still trading?!?
I wish I'd checked these reviews first. The company are indeed complete scam artists. Sent over my Samsung galaxy (ok, it's a cheap phone, do no real biggie...but it is the principal of the matter!) and they quoted £25. I checked the phone thoroughly before mailing, it was in great condition.
Sure enough, I received an email, a week later, claiming the screen was scratched, and that they would pay £2. I must say, I laughed. Laughed at my own stupidity for being taken in by a company like this. It's a clever scam, you've got to give them that.
However, I won't be letting this rest. I run a business myself, and have a DEEP SEATED LOATHING of this sort of practice, so I'll be pursuing them relentlessly from here on in, to try to ensure they don't keep doing this! Anyone who has suffered the same, I urge you to do similar...if we all complain, then it will be taken seriously. Lets stop these dirtbags from gathering any more ill-gotten gains!
A mixed bag. Slow service but highest paying company and very good customer support representatives.
I wanted to sell my iPhone 5 32GB and arranged an exchange with them two weeks ago for a better price than anywhere else. In order to speed things up, I didn't wait for their freepost packaging and instead mailed it off myself to their freepost address.
A week went by and I hadn't heard anything. I called them up and quickly got through to a friendly and helpful customer services representative who informed me that freepost items can take up to 5 working days to get to them and due to a backlog in their inspection centre, it could take a further 5 working days for the phone to be inspected and logged into the system.
I received an email last night to say that my phone had been processed and inspected, however, as it hadn't reached them quickly enough, the offer price had reduced. I called them up and quickly got through to another friendly and helpful customer services representative. After explaining what had occurred and what I had previously been told during my previous call, he looked into things, spoke to his supervisor and had the offer price returned to the previous value.
So, in summary, while their service seems to be slower than others, they do currently give the best prices and they have exceptional phone support from a UK call centre that isn't on a premium number. If you need the money fast I'd probably recommend going with someone else and if you are sending a high value item, I'd recommend paying for a signed for delivery but other than that, good job.
DO NOT USE mobilephoneexchange.co.uk THEY WILL CON YOU
Sent my iphone 3gs to mobilephoneexchange. In their supplied packaging.
My phone was in perfect condition, but they say it is smashed and have offered £4. I have asked for the phone's return - no response. If it did somehow arrive damaged it could only have been due to their supplied packaging. DO NOT USE They may offer a couple of pound more than others, but you won't get it.
Very very surprised!
I sent my iphone 4 8gb to mobile phone exchange just under two weeks ago in the free post bag they sent. They quoted me £132 in debenhams vouchers.
Like I fool after I sent the phone. I then read around all the bad reviews! After over a week of not hearing anything I thought that was the end of that! And gave myself a big kick for not sending it recorded or doing my homework first!
But then last night I received a email saying tha the phone had been inspected & they were going to credit the card by today.
So this morning I went on the debenhams website and they actually had credited my card with the correct ££, so I've spent it quick as I have heard they do sometimes deactivate the cards!
It appears I am one of the lucky ones.
Would I use this company again? Probably not, I may not be so lucky next time. But think it's only fair to give 5 stars based on my experience.
