Our first impression was excellent on seeing the beautiful well designed cabin. Our cabin steward was friendly, very professional and kept the cabin to a very high standard. I think her name was Haskana. The staff in the Aurora restaurant were a pleasure. The food was excellent but we were disappointed that the choice of white wine on freedom fare was limited to Chardonnay.
We enjoyed the entertainment and looked forward to it each night. The ship had a very friendly family feel which we found relaxing. The dinner with the Captain and visit to the ship’s bridge was memorable. Our first cruise with Fred Olsen and we would recommend it to everyone.

Great holiday from start to finish, checking in was quick and easy, the ship was spotless, the crew were excellent, the food was delicious and the entertainment first class.

My cruise was great from start to finish. Very quick and efficient check in at Rosyth, comfortable and spacious cabin on the Atlantic Deck, efficient and friendly staff in all areas. We ate breakfast in the Spey restaurant, lunch and sometimes afternoon tea in the Thistle and dinner in the Ballindalloch. The choice and quality of food was excellent in particular beautiful fish dishes and curries. Our waiters in the Ballindalloch, Royston and Bryan were friendly and super efficient. The lounges were all very comfortable.

This is my 2nd time cruising with Fred Olsen as I enjoyed my 1st cruise experience so much that I booked my 2nd whilst still onboard the Balmoral! The booking process iscsobeasy & very informative at every step. I love how the holiday begins the minute you arrive at port with porters taking your lugguage, which is magically in your cabin once you embark the ship. The staff go above & beyond to ensure your comfort & 1st class experience. On both cruises I have felt so spoiled & relaxed. It was lovely to be met & welcolmed by our cabin stewardess, Nhung, who was absolutely amazing throughout our trip. The fresh fruit, flowers & bottle of bubbly on ice was a lovely welcome in our balcony cabin as well as binoculars for using. The staff onboard the Balmoral are all so welcoming, friendly & helpful- they make you feel special. The food is absolutely delicious & beautifully presented like eating at a Michelin star restaurant. The waiting staff are super efficient & attentive, Nathanial & Sashki were fantastic serving us, always with a smile. We loved the Spey & Avon restaurant. I very much enjoyed using the Atlantic Spa, I highly recommend booking a massage- such a relaxing way to begin the holiday & staff there are also so lovely. The entertaiment & choice of activities onboard was also great, so many talented individuals adding to a magical experience. The guest speaker, Jeanette Yuil was amazing, her talks on Norway were facinating & humerous. I absolutely love cruising with Fred Olsen & I highly recommend this company. The Balmoral is a lovely ship. The staff are just wonderful, even the onboard jewellers were so helpful & knowledgeable..... I love my Chilean Lapis pendant, purchased onboard. A magical, relaxing, adventurous holiday. Thank you Fred Olsen & the amazing staff onboard the Balmoral.

It was the staff and the service they provided that made the cruise so enjoyable. The food, where ever we ate, was excellent.
From booking to final disembarkation, a smooth, well organised and friendly experience.

You obviously didn’t receive my last review but we had a fantastic week visiting the fiords my only complaint was that my terminally ill cousin was not allowed to take his wheelchair on board I was told i had booked the trip too late I did book it in November but I thought he would have been able to take his wheelchair so obviously this caused him not to be able to go off shore I really thought a bit of empathy towards him should have been made this has caused me to think twice about booking again!

Quality service from every member of staff.
The cabin was spacious with plenty of storage.
The food was really tasty and plenty of choice.

The cruise I booked offered complimentary wine at lunch and dinner. I was very disappointed, as were the other 4 guests at my table, the only white wine you could get was Chardony which I did not like, neither did the other guests. Your company should make it quite clear to any potential guests they will only be offered this type of white wine with this package. Not up yo Fred Olsens standard. Also during my cruise I lost a nights sleep as maintenance wete working on yhe plumbing. Very noisy it seemed it was coming thru the wall from me.

Excellent waiter service in bars and restaurants. Sohnd proofing in cabins could be improved and theatre entertainment could be better.

Great cruise, fantastic organisation and efficiency. Staff were also top notch.

Good to board the ship at Rosyth only a short drive from home. The boarding experience was quick and easy. The staff on board were all friendly and helpful throughout the cruise. The food was very good and a good selection. Entertainment was very good. Sailing through the fjords and places visited very worthwhile to experience.

The cruise was fantastic from start to finish. The quality of the food and drink was exceptional. The ships crew were amazing, nothing was a problem for them. The entertainment offering was first class. We will definitely be looking to do another cruise.
