This company is a blooming SCAM!!
For any person out there, if you are been harassed by this energy company…don’t do anything, don’t reply to it, don’t pay anything…it’s about to go bust within 6 weeks,
Have caused us such stress, and have tried to scam me for £300 which I never owed them. This person or his colleague makes a living out of hounding old customers for false made up, un paid bills.
Then threatens you with debt collection, dozens of threatening emails.
Then takes you to small claims court, but then offers you a reduced payment to pay him instead, no chance…then… never turns up at court! What a SCAM!
What a vindictive person… stay away from Enstroga Uk …BEWARE!!!! IGNORE!!

Are you back in business?

Are you back in business?
After going bankrupt and robbing people like my mum while her husband was dieing in Covid, your day light robbers. Shes lost almost £800 since she followed you, the government and then Eon's guidance to continue paying you after you'd gone bust. She might have been more on the ball, we might, but that my dad was dying a lonely horrible and painful death, while energy companies like you were robbing them blind. You went bust, now she's lost £800 can't get in touch with you and Eon or the ombudsman can't get the money back. She refuses to put the heating on is suffering, lonely and cold. Do not use this company. if they're back up and running in 2024 which I've heard they are, they will probs do another flunk and rip off vulnerable people like my mum.

My elderly father has been taken to…

My elderly father has been taken to hospital today stressed sick by this company. They have been getting debt collecting companies sending him letters and this morning a call again saying that it has been escalated and his credit rating will be affected with them trying to claim over £500 from his old account despite the fact ENSTROGA energy have failed to realise they have cocked up our meter readings and this charge from last September shows a reading that we still have nowhere nearly reached on our meter reading almost a year later with our new company!!!! If my 80 year old father has a heart attack over this be it on your hands ENSTROGA energy! SORT OUT YOUR ADMINISTRATION DEPARTMENT AND CORRECT YOUR CUSTOMER DETAILS BEFORE THREATENING THEM!

Extension to this sorry story

In March 22 when Enstroga finally enabled me to pay by BACS instead of direct debit, I paid the £67 ‘outstanding’ which I disputed, but what the hell, pay them let them go away.

I have proof that I paid and that this was the amount they wanted.

In the coming months - long, long after we’d ceased to be customers, we received a series of other amounts ranging from £25 in credit, to £117 in debt. We ignored those. They hadn’t been our supplier since before we settled the final bill and had never had a meter in our property. And now I can’t access my online account to see.

Now I have debt collectors chasing me for even more. I’m not paying. These amounts are complete fiction. I’ve settled my final bill. Now go away and take your debt collector with you.

Meter mis-match issue

In 2011, I became a launch customer for “Smart” metering with First Utility, now known as Shell Energy. I was billed correctly in m3. I subsequently moved around the energy market with various providers and in 2018, I became a customer of Enstroga. My previous supplier at that time was N Power and I was billed correctly at the close of that account.

Earlier this year my current supplier, Simplicity, went bust and the accounts were forced upon British Gas. I took this opportunity to review my gas consumption records in detail. To my horror, I found that at the time that Enstroga began supplying my gas, the XOserve national gas meter database had been altered and I was being billed incorrectly in Ft3.

This issue was recorded by OFGEM and a letter to all of the energy suppliers was issued by them in August of 2016. I immediately raised enquiries with all of my historical suppliers and to date, with one exception, Enstroga, we have reached an agreed settlement.

In the spirit of the letter from OFGEM, suppliers who are at fault should acknowledge their mistake, repay the overpayment, with interest, and pay compensation with equivalent ex-gratia payment made to a charity. Enstroga have not yet met all of the requirements set out within the letter from OFGEM.

I have been in dispute with Enstroga on this and other issues since I closed my account with them in 2019, I have spent countless hours either on the phone or writing emails in an attempt to get a resolution to this dispute. On the the 3rd June of this year I requested a dead lock letter so that I could approach the Energy Ombudsman, which they have refused to issue, instead they have chosen to go to Court.

STAY CLEAR!!!!! ABSOULTE HORRIFIC COMPANY

Absolute horrific company to ever cross paths with! Never in my entire life have I been so stressed, sick with worry and exhausted from fighting with this company. I haven't had electric supply from them since 2018. They sent me a final bill last year for two different amounts, they passed in onto a debt collection agency whilst awaiting a complaint resolution for the bill amount. They admitted fault that they had put the next tenant after me bills onto mine, once calculated correctly I PAID IN FULL. I closed the account, had email and paper confirmation that my ''final bill'' had been settled. To my surprise, I received two further ''final bill letters AGAIN FOR TWO SEPERATE AMOUNTS. 3 years I haven't had services with them for, the unbelievable stress caused this has caused is enough to send anyone over the edge. The customer service is as useless as a fart in the pissing wind.

Just when I thought the gates of hell closed, they re-opened with threats in a gang formed of debt collectors. I DONT OWE YOU ANYTHING, IVE GOT WRITTEN PROOF FROM YOU THAT IVE SETTLED IN FULL. LEAVE ME ALONE. Oh, and please no further responses to lower the ''final bill'' amount by £50, its embarrassing, far from required and I certainly have a few suggestions where you can bloody stick it.

Give me strength!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Glad they have gone bust. Worst company ever. Couldnt organise the proverbial! According to the press they had just 6000 customers so it really shouldnt have been difficult to manage!

Never any response and keep blocking…

Never any response and keep blocking change of provider.

Not had an email back or response form reply in 5 months.

Call and they promise to resolve it and even now I have British gas taking over they still are not processing it.

No final bill from final meter reading and never here anything from them.

Have an ombudsman complaint in progress and they still don't bother to respond.

Awful company all round.

Stay well clear.

Awful company

Awful company. Been with them ages, never once came out to read meter. I submitted readings and then took direct debit, then randomly cancelled it again. This went on for a while. Then got big bill for 2k. Agreed a payment plan and started to pay back. Left Enstroga and continued paying.

Received court letters and called them. Told not to worry as we had agreed a payment plan... ended up in court anyway and they won. I paid them, in total £2800 including costs and as well as that I'm now in credit by £300 as they were still taking the agreed payments.

Advisors can't do anything, other than email their colleagues and they rarely get back. Random emails which aren't helpful or relevant to the issue.

Overall a shocking supplier, wouldn't dream of using or recommending them.

Ignore these terrible reviews at your peril

Absolutely awful service. Dealing with a property as a result of the death of my mother. Already a difficult time, made worse by dealing with companies such as enstroga. I’ve been sent threatening emails to pay bills or face court action. Despite me telling them to direct bills to solicitor who is manages the financial affairs of my deceased mum. They always arrive on Saturday morning at 6am, when you can’t get hold of anyone to discuss. They have never replied to my emails. Paid myself in the end, even though I can’t afford too, as I can’t do with the constant threatening emails. They also make it difficult to pay and the Link to pay in Enstroga emails alerts a scam message from BT. Had to go through fraud department at Barclays to verify. Made a complaint, asked my solicitor to get involved - next stop Ombudsman!

Update - enstroga now have to pay me the money back I paid, as I never actually owed it in the first place! And guess what - It’s been weeks now and I still haven’t received my refund. Also I’ve heard nothing about my complaint. Now that they owe me £237 back, they’ve gone very quiet all of a sudden, after weeks of sending me threatening emails for money I didn’t actually owe - disgusting company and service!

Avoid this company at all costs

Avoid this company at all costs.
They have been chasing me for a partially unpaid bill by a tenant in 2019. This has included threatening court action. Despite giving them the telephone number of the tenant they keep e-mailing me to ask for money. They either don't understand or don't read the e-mails you send to them. For example I provided the contact number of the tenant and pointed out that that legally it is the tenant who is responsible for the bills for the duration of the tenancy agreement. The replies (yes there are several) have varied from thank you for requesting our bank details (here they are and please pay the bill) to thank you for confirming you are responsible for the energy supply! I keep sending pretty much the same e-mail outlining I am not responsible but I'm getting no where. I have never used this energy company and certainly never will.
