From the moment we entered the store we were greeted by friendly, helpful staff. We needed lots of advice and had lots of questions which throughout the afternoon David and Paul helped us with. This is the second time we have bought from this store and the customer service is exceptional.

After perusing the Bensons for Beds site on the internet on Thursday (13 Aug 2026) and deciding on a particular mattress, we went out on Friday (14 Aug 2026) originally with the choice of mattress idea in mind to the Bensons for Beds store in Tamworth. Only to find that the store was closed for major refurbishment, not a good start. As we were getting back to our car, a female staff member came over and told us the store had officially closed for refurbishment the previous evening (Wednesday 12 Aug 2026). Sorry, but I have to say I was not amused with the fact that there was no information on the Bensons for Beds site that the store in Tamworth would be closed on a certain date for refurb. I mentioned this factnto the female staff member and was given the response that a notification was on the site (today - 14 Aug 2026). What sort of customer communication is that? I think it is very poor. So then, still with our impending mattress purchase in mind, we drove all the way back home and onto the Bensons for Beds store in Erdington. Fortunately, the store was open, what a relief! We were met by a male staff member by the name of Ave (he did tell us that he was originally going to be called ‘Dave’ but his parents couldn’t afford the “D”, lol). He was very pleasant, well mannered and helpful to the degree with discussing various merits of certain mattresses, that we eventually came away with not our original idea, but a superior mattress (slightly dearer than our first choice, but more suitable to our physical needs) and very satisfied with the outcome. We appreciated all the help and assistance we got from Ave and did not experience any ‘hard sale pitching’. Thank you, Ave.

An easy site to negotiate and a good choice of items to select from. The price is excellent and it was good not to have to travel to a shop, but buy from the comfort of home. I look forward to delivery day!

I had a good experience from start to finish. Ordering was easy. I was kept up to date at each stage. Mattress arrived when I was told and delivery drivers took it upstairs for me. I just had to unpack it. All staff were friendly and helpful.

Jo had extensive knowledge about the products and covered everything we needed to know about each of the mattresses we were trying. Her approach was gentle, not pushy, allowing us the space to discuss each mattresses we tried. We did decide on a mattress, and she talked us through the whole process of making a deposit then applying for the credit options. Overall she was very helpful, offered us a drink of cold water as it was a very hot day in the store, and made sure our needs, and my extra needs with having a disability, were met.

Charmaine was very friendly and helpful in store, and everyone else including the store manager was also very friendly and helpful over the phone calls.

From the first visit to the showroom, followed by a couple more visits and then order being placed, all the way to delivery, this was a great experience. Happy friendly staff and very clear information about delivery and after care. Well done Benson's for Beds.
