FAILED PAYMENT SYSTEM
the direct debit did not process despite the bank details on file being correct. I was advised that queries about this could not be escalated to head office. I was then asked to make a card payment, which was unsuccessful due to incorrect entry of the card security code. Very poor.

Thank you for taking the time to leave your feedback. We appreciate the opportunity to clarify what happened.
When the payment was due, the direct debit did not complete even though the bank details held on our system were indeed correct as stated. At that stage, there was no indication of a system fault on our side, which is why our store team advised that it would be best to check with your bank.
You then asked about escalating the query. This was not refused, but it was explained that head office cannot be contacted immediately by the store. Instead, you were advised to email the store so the matter could be investigated properly, while also being offered alternative ways to make payment.
The card payment attempted at the time was unsuccessful due to an issue with the card itself rather than our payment system.
Following your email this morning, our accounts team investigated the matter and confirmed that the issue was not caused by a failure of our systems, but supported our staff members original assumption that your bank needed to be contacted.
The store has since been in touch to offer further support and explain how payments can be made going forward, as automatic payments have been declined more than once.
We understand how frustrating payment issues can be and thank you for raising this, as it allowed us to look into it and provide clarity.

No response from customer services regarding damage of sofa
We stored our things with Access for 3 months in-between a house move and paid for insurance to cover our belongings whilst stored there. The facility was fine despite the space having an open meshed ceiling and staff were very helpful. However, when we came to move out, our movers noticed damage to a sofa we had stored there. This was flagged immediately to the manager and followed up with photos via email as requested. This was back in August 2025 and despite multiple emails from our end, we still have heard nothing back regarding our claim. Very disappointed with the service received, especially since we had paid for the insurance and sent all documents required.

Beware of price increases.
I rented a unit in Apr25, with the first 3 months being at a discounted rate (despite the store manager telling me verbally that it would be for 6 months). After 3 months the rent increased to the full rate, and after a further 6 months they advised that they were going to automatically increase the rent by a further 10%. I emailed the manager but received no response. This gave me the kick up the proverbial to give notice and move out. The unit was fine, the facility good and the other staff really helpful, but I couldn't stomach the way they tried to prey on people's laziness to slip in an increase after just 9 months. Just beware what they do.
