Huge in bill in <10 minutes, negligence and completely wrong diagnosis

Went to have an emergency appointment in a Saturday morning, for my male 13 years old dachshund that was screaming in pain. They were very prompt, no waiting time, which was great.

But then the disappointment started, the vet only massaged a bit of his back and said "it could be "disc herniation", and that was it. And prescribed a medicine for pain. Not even 10 minutes, and a 3367kr. bill.

No exams were made, no additional scans, nothing.

Turns out, after a second opinion, that he was having A RENAL CRISIS. Not recommended, I can't stand negligence and incompetence, but that seems to be the norm in Danish healthcare and veterinarians. Do Danish universities only teach about painkillers and "it's nothing, wait 8 weeks"?

Lovely for your pet but not your wallet

They saved our cats life and for that we are forever thankful. All of the staff from the vet nurses picking up the phone, their apprentices and their vets were lovely, excellent, professional, multilingual, empathetic.

Our 2 day stay in their emergency room did cost 28k however so think twice before going in without an insurance.

My little dog got very sick at a Sunday and I had the best visit at this vet- Valby dyreklink Before I visit the vet,I called to ask of expected price because of the acute situation and I got informed very well . It was veterinarian Rolf who investigated Snif my dog and because of his advice my little dog just had some food stomach problems and it was not serious,Thank God.
