Helpful and timely
Adviced on the mortgage and was really responsive. However our advisor didn't let us know about the required building insurance. And even when we were told by our solicitor, he didn't provide any assistance in that regard.

Thank you for taking the time to review our service as you would expect we are very disappointed, none more so than Ben to receive 2-star review.
We have read your comments and reviewed the case in its entirety and although we understand that you feel that Ben did not provide any assistance, I feel that to be unfair.
Ben completed your mortgage application and secured an offer within 11 days. Within the offer confirmation email from Threshold it states
• It is a condition of your mortgage offer that you have Buildings insurance in place on or before completion. We offer a 5* De Facto rated product and would be happy to arrange cover for you.
In addition to our email, it is also stated with your mortgage offer. As per the below text from the offer
• You must make sure there is suitable buildings insurance in place as long as you have this mortgage. However, you are not obliged to buy this insurance from *******
Following your conversations with your solicitor, you contacted Ben for assistance which he responded to and advised he would have our insurance team to contact you within the week and provide a quote, as this was a Sunday and the insurance team were unavailable this wasn’t allocated until the Monday morning . I understand you were concerned that a policy was needed and emailed again at 7.39pm on Monday the 24th to Ben and his colleague in the insurance team advising that there was still no contact. As I am sure you can appreciate, the team will have scheduled calls/appointments so were unable to action that day, however on the 25th one of our Insurance advisors did speak to you and attempted to provide a quote which our brokerage system was unable to do, as a result she completed an internal referral to a specialist brokerage called Blue Drop to fulfil. We are unsure if they were able to provide a policy, but we are aware they were attempting to contact you to discuss.
I understand that you feel that Ben was not interested in assisting with your building’s insurance, but he has followed the correct process to ensure that you were responded to and passed to the correct team, who did contact you within the previously advised timescale.
Once again thank you for your review, I hope that this offers more clarity and you feel that maybe Ben may warrant a kinder review score.

Excellent Experience
Superlative experiene working with Threshold Mortgage Advice. Since the very beginning of the buying process, Adam Talmondt and team have been extremely transparent in all processes. They did invest a lot of time in all legalities related to home buying process and on securing mortgage. Overall, they entire team removed stress of the equation. We were able to swiftly secure a competitive mortgage. There are additional products and services offered as well such as home, life, critical illness that is supported by a super efficient team.
