Needed to renew the house insurance following the previous company we used not covering insurance any more. Went to compare site, A A showed a good price and as already A A members went into more details. As I had a few questions, phoned, and had a very helpful gentleman who answered all my queries clearly and quickly. Decided to proceed which he did for me so I did not have to go online again.

When I rang them the person I spoke to was very helpful, they explained everything clearly and answered my Questions. We are happy with the insurance we have with them already, that is one of the reasons we decided to choose the AA again.

Everything went through so easy. What I didn't like was that you kept sending me emails (before and after I got the Insurance)to say that you had an offer for £600 yet I got the insurance with the AA through Comparethe market for £275.

Started with AA breakdown service 34 years ago,very happy having them taking care of me.Moved on to having car insurance a few years ago with them and also felt they were working for me keeping car running costs down,Just taken house insurance ,very competitive price and happy to have them as my go to for all purposes.

let me down with my car insurance
Have had many car insurances with this company in the past and didn't have any problem with payments or websites. I don't have any experience wiht them how the claims works in terms of customer service luckily never needed.
I bought a new car insurance yesterday, saw the 1st instalment transaction gone through and had the welcome pack. Gave monthly pay bank details. Today around lunch time I had a email from them asking for the full amount tobe paid by 22nd July which it was surprising. I contacted them on the phone and spoke 4 different people as they pass onto each other without any outcome. They told me that due to their system error my car insurance payment didn't go thorough yesterday but I've got the evidence that they charged my account twice with different amounts. To make it correct they've cancelled my policy and told me that they will give me a new one starting from today and will match the price of yesterday one I bought. They are suppose to call me with the update later in the evening before 5pm but I didn't hear from them so far which is over 8pm. This person called 'Guy' was waiting to hear from other department with the price match authorisation and was going to give me a call but didn't and I am without car insurance tonight because of AAs mess up. I am so disappointed and angry the way they handled my insurance. I will never insure with them again with my house or cars. HS and SCK
UPDATE 17/07/2026:how much more AA can be horrible and incompetent with their work? Someone called Chloe (spelling can be wrong) called me yesterday and sent me all the documents with the new insurance and told me the that within 24 hours I will be getting matching price paper. Then this morning I had the below email from them. I dont want to know you never ever again! Return the money you took from my son's account and cancel this policy immediately as I will get our insurance from somewhere decent.
This is from AA this morning:
Due to new or updated information received about you, your drivers and/or vehicle, unfortunately we're no longer able to provide you with cover.
Your policy and any optional cover held will end at 23:59 on 24/07/2026 and your Certificate of Motor Insurance will no longer be valid from this time.
