My tax refund paid to Scammers
I received a letter from HMRC saying that I paid too much tax and they have sent a cheque to Tax reclaim PPI.
I never instructed them to apply for a tax refund for me and when I tried phoning every number I found for them they are all due numbers.
I contacted Police Scotland who are phoning me back today.
Contacted HMRC and they were no help whatsoever. Letter was dated 10th July but didn’t receive it til 19th by which time the cheque had already been sent to these scamming gits. HMRC Didn’t even seem interested in the crime reference I had to give them but said they would put it on my record.

They don’t pay the promised £50 for sending a review.
Take inflated amount out of your payment.
Would not use again.
Although they did pay me very quickly by bacs.
I also don’t remember hiring them the first I knew was the letter from Hmrc stating they had sent them the cheque.
The amount they take is very unreasonable for basically doing nothing.
DON’T PANIC EVERYONE!
This is the very first review I’ve ever written on Trust Pilot and the main reason I’m doing this is to reassure everyone who was, and could still be, as worried about it as I was after reading the awful reviews of this company accusing the fraud etc - I honestly thought I’d lost my money as they don’t have a working telephone number on their website and the one that does work, indeed, as stated by other reviews says something along the lines of suspected fraud.
PANIC! Of course I did, but hold on . . .
After contacting HMRC they confirmed they WERE NOT on their list of fraudulent PPI companies so I then called the business centre where their office is located and really nice lady explained they were a large company that use it as a postal address and are still very much in business!
I emailed the email address on their website and the account manager there, Poppy, emailed me a few days later explaining how they’ve basically had all the cheques from HMRC pretty much in one go - that must be thousands of cheques to process so no wonder there is a delay.
I got my money yesterday by BACS - no problems! People also moan about the charges - these are made clear at the start. Yeah, I think it’s a lot but I couldn’t do it myself so I’m not complaining.
So to conclude, if like me you started to panic that your money was lost - don’t. I panicked too but there was nothing to worry about.
Email them on the address on there website and they will get back to you - might take a few days but don’t believe all of these negative reviews calling them scammers. It’s simply not true.
I really hope this reassures people who might be worrying as much as I was.
no problems @ any time
they did everything for me never had any problems from start to finish paid into bank account thank you
Thomas Fraud
Hi Thomas,
thank you for your reply.
I've checked my bank statement and you are indeed correct so my apologies. The reason I never noticed it is because I was expecting a lot more than £308.64 and here's why.
I received over £6000 from HSBC and over £12000 from Capital One. For ease of calculation lets just call it a round £18000. Now the 20% tax comes to £3600 so after your fee should come to a great deal more than £308.64 that you paid into my account and would appreciate it if you could explain to me how you came to this figure.
Regards
Michael
This email was sent 06/11/2022 and despite a prior email from Mr Fraud which at the bottom said any other queries please let me know, well I do, will I ever get a reply or the correct amount of money owed to me? That's my query.
This will now be passed on to The F.C.A and the police.
Ongoing!!!
Ongoing!!!! Still waiting 2 weeks on for a call from Nicola.
Emails ignored and honestly don't know how this company is still operating.
Customer service is diabolical.
I've since reported this company to action fraud.
Money in full they have from HMRC from yet another payment for overpayments in tax ( nothing to do with my PPI tax CLAIM) which does not belong to them they still have.
Frustrated by PPI Tax Refund claim?
I completed the online form sent to me by Tax Reclaim PPI after a phone call from them advising I could get some money back. Quite some time after I received a letter from HMRC stating a was due a refund & like everyone else a cheque had been sent to this company. I received 2 emails stating that Tax Reclaim PPI had been trying to call me (no missed calls)? I replied to there email but heard nothing then another email stating if I give them my bank details & photo ID I would receive my money in 7 days. As I didn't feel comfortable giving them this information I asked for the cheque to be sent to me but I have had any reply to date? I will contact Action Fraud also as something isn't right at all!! All these reviews are so similar & it's not right how this has been managed. I will look on the Martin Lewis website also & contact him about this situation.
Do not have any dealings with them!
I am 60 years old and a single parent. I was informed by HMRC that I had overpaid tax since the tax year 18/19.
Nothing to do with PPI, this company had set up as my representative which astounds me. I've read other reviews stating their phone numbers have reports of fraudulent activity and this is worrying. They have taken my TAX REFUND I have no choice but to contact the Ombudsman and Action Fraud. This is so stressful and worrying. They had the audacity to ask for photo ID. I demand my TAX REFUND in full. Stay clear of this company. I will update on developments.
Their so called legitemacy is undermined by their immorality.
Why need photo ID.to recieve payment.
Received my letter from HMRC
I then recieve email from this company stating they would call for my details.week later had to email asking were the phone call was.
Then today 1 day after the email received another asking for bank details AND photo ID.is this normal asking for Photo ID.?
Can i put zero stars!!
Can i put zero stars!!!
HMRC sent my money on the 2nd February to this company and im still waiting. Phone number blocked by Action Fraud and now a new number appears got an email this week asking for bank account details and photo ID. CAB has advised me to not send and said to ask for a cheque so i replied to the email and no response!

Got a letter from HMRC saying I had been awarded a ppi refund, after letting this company claim for myself, I emailed Tom asking when I would receive funds, got a reply asking for bank details etc and I got my refund in the bank within in a couple of days ,the whole process has roughly taken about 8 weeks, although the fees are a little high, I received more than I was expecting, thankyou Tom.

In regards to the time scale from receiving my letter from HMRCto having the funds deposited by BACS fromthis company...can't fault it (same day).
I do however think the fees are extortionate (i received less than half the origional figure).
I would shop around for less greedy companies
Again this company is a disgrace...
Again this company is a disgrace.... 33.3% plus vat. Thought ok and then to find out today we have now to pay admin fee of £50..
First lve heard off that...
So this company take over 50% of what is owed to me..
I'm totally disgusted with it. As lve had to do the chasing once again for them to issue my refund even though they would of had if for two months as hmrc always send letters to state if owed money and always dated when. Appalling company and lm definitely going to seek legal advise this time unless they give me back the admin fee the sneakily put on the charge.
Because I had to check sent out to you
Because I had to check sent out to you, one December 2022 one March 2023, and I haven’t received no money from either check
If I could put 0 stars I would
If I could put 0 stars I would, filled out my name and number on Facebook, as a random thing but then clicked out of it, next thing I get a msg from hmrc saying I'm owed a couple hundred cheque will be sent in 14 days... Waiting for this cheque weeks had passed, then I get a msg from this company saying they will send the refund to me within 5 working days they take a heavy percentage without stating this bit of info, would recommend to research the company before even speaking to them!! Possibly will get in touch with the the law as I didn't really allow them to process this for me!
I am still waiting for my refund I…
I am still waiting for my refund I don’t even know how they got my money I shall give them until Monday to hear from them if I don’t I will then go to the police I think this company is taking advantage of us all . Their phone number doesn’t work even the number the HMRC gave me didn’t work
Tax Reclaim PPI is a complete fraud
Tax Reclaim PPI is a complete fraud. Received a letter from HMRC dated, 14th March 2023, saying cheque sent to above company. Tax Reclaim advised cheque would be with me within 14 days. As of 11th May nothing received. Do not use this company they are a scam company.
I finally got my OWN money
Been given the run-around by this company since March. 2 numbers, 1 no reply, and the over saying they are frauds? After originally leaving a rubbish review they finally contacted me. UPDATE..I got my money after emailing them. I don't feel I should change my star rating, it took them over 2 months to pay up, and then I had to ask for it. Fees are a joke seeing as customers money is sat in your account gaining interest for months and not ours! That's appalling customer service.

This company is a SCAM
This company is a SCAM, the reviews on here are fake. They have faked my signature and taken all my tax rebates for the last 4 years directly from HMRC nothing to do with any tax on PPI. I am fighting to get it back have reported to action fraud.
