U have 30 days to fund .A large amount .but u can't open 2 of the same products as I understand I had 2 bonds of 5000 maturing on 2 and 6 of Dec.so opened one for 1st bond maturing. Tried to open other for the 6 of Dec as I needed more than 30 days.34 .but one product allows more money than mine in my 2 bonds.daft rule.lady said u can close 1st bond but the system may not let u open a new bond .as it may think u already have one.a catch 22 u can but u may not be able to open product even though it is available.well why not open it manually by staff at bank.too much trouble.may b.

Saving Bond set up and funding
I alreday had an account and adding a new one was technically simple. You had the best interest rate I could find for bonds with annual payment. Things I wanted to know were whether I could seed the new bond with £1 then check it on-line and feed it with the full amount. I seeded it with £1000 (Min) and all OK. I couldn't find in advance how long I had to feed it (or whether I had to put in the entire amount in one go). Turned out to have a generous 30 day time limit.

Excellent Customer Service
Just opened a fixed rate cash Isa due to competitive interest rate. Straight forward process if it wasn't for an admin error entirely of my own making. Rang them and a very helpful and efficient lady called Anisha clarified the situation and put my mind at rest. Thank you.
We have several savings accounts with Secure and my only comment otherwise would be that the website once you log on is a little on the basic side.

Poor Processes and Unnecessary Obstacles
I have held a savings account with Secure Trust Bank for many years, using it simply to deposit funds. Following a divorce, I provided a signed consent order and a letter of authority from my ex-wife to transfer the account into my sole name. Despite this, the bank refused to act until they had also spoken to her directly.
This requirement is both unnecessary and outdated. I completed the same process with five other banks without any difficulty — all were seamless. Secure Trust Bank’s approach has created needless stress, wasted time, and highlighted how archaic their systems and processes are.
Unless you absolutely have to, I would strongly recommend avoiding this bank. It may appear fine on paper, but the moment you need support with anything beyond the most basic transactions, they become obstructive and unhelpful.
