Have an Easy Access Cash ISA D50 which pays 3.51% interest. Discovered, by chance, they now pay on their latest Easy Access Cash ISA D72, 4.05%. They didn't inform me of this and that I was losing interest! There is no automatic increase, as for instance the Coventry provide. Coventry B.S. do it automatically. I phoned them and asked for it to be moved to the D72 but they told me it couldn't be done over the phone. I had to go on-line and then phone them back! They make the change as hard as possible! I find this appalling and "sharp" practice!
1 hour on the phone and couldn't speak to a person. No matter what time/day you ring, the recorded message says they are very busy. More than likely there is only one person or nobody at all answering the calls. You email them and you will get an unhelpful response 3 days later. Their website constantly crashes. I just hope my savings are safe with them.

I have given one star as that is the minimum, shame it can not be zero or a minus. I have been trying for three weeks to close my account but there is excuse upon excuse. Going to call me back but didn't on several occasions. Bank somewhere else is my advice.

I have been a KR saver for some years and have been pleased with the service. Unfortunately, they have recently got themselves into a real IT pickle by running "old" and "new" online savings platforms. I recently had a bond mature on the "old" platform and had my maturity options posted to me;why they couldn't be emailed I have no idea. The options to reinvest were more limited and at far lower rates than a new customer could obtain. How is this in line with KR's Consumer Duty of treating customers fairly?
I spoke to KR and said I wanted to transfer my maturing funds to a 3 year savings bond at the rate advertised on their website and was advised I'd have to apply through the "new" platform for that account, open the account, encash the maturing bond on the "old" system and pay the proceeds into the new account. I am quite capable of doing this but worry about elderly savers or those who aren't "tech savvy" or just don't have the head for all these pointless shenanigans.
To be fair, the "new" platform is very good and I love the instant confirmatory email once a deposit has been made but KR do need to sort themselves out and treat existing customers in the same way they treat new customers.

I had a bond finish they offered new bond but it was on a new web site they had opened .This took nearly 1 hour to sort out . Today I moved £1000 into the account to make sure it was going to the correct account . 10 minutes later i tried to Move the Rest of the money into the bond It returned it to my funding account.. I rang up to ask why they told me that bond was closed ?? So i then went to close the account and get my £1000 deposit back // It was impossible kept asking for verification code WHICH never came I tried 3 times STILL no code in the end I rang there help line and got the lady to close the account// THIS new web site they have opened is TOTAL JUNK unworkable not fit for purpose . I WILL NEVER EVER have any dealings with this Kent Reliance Bank . I have waisted a good 2 hours trying to sort this mess out .BE WARNED aggravation is guaranteed trying to deal with this company

The interest rate on the 1 year fixed bond was the highest and my experience with Kent Reliance has been faultless. It was very easy to open my account on line and transfer my money in and the communication has been perfect and has kept me very well informed. I telephoned with one query and my call was quickly answered and the advisor was very polite and answered my question. My interest has been paid on time. The website is very easy to use and has all the info that I need. I would recommend Kent Reliance without a single reservation and my experience has been much better than my previous one with a big high street bank.

They change their system and then all of a sudden your account just disappears with YOUR money in it.
You phone them up and then after several hours they phone you back saying that they will get back to you, guess what, sweet SA.

Since I read the reviews, I decided to try the secure message approach. They completely ignored the question in the secure message which was about why I have two missing statements from tax year 25/26. Instead there was a generic answer about how to access statements online. This building society has provided good service over the years for us, but it seems they are now to be avoided at all costs.

It wont accept the ridiculous pass word I saved on my computer, has logged me out, wont give me a new password wont let me set my own. Have now wasted most of my morning .
The operator was really trying to solve the problem, but she couldn't really help.

I received an email asking me to go to their homepage for my Certificate of Interest. I did that and my login details were not recognised. Called 0345 122 1122 as instructed and had the same irritating experience of Mark T who had the same 'service' 3 hours ago. Should "All of our Operatives" read "Both of our Operatives"? I was cut off after 20 minutes.

You call customer service, and every few seconds a rather dozy-sounding person states that you can opt to be called back by Kent Reliance - and it appears to say that this is typically in 24-48 hours. 24-48 hours???? Both the person speaking, the same message, the wait time just makes one's blood boil - and also wonder if they really are a reliable provider or not.

Having a lot of trouble trying to open an ISA account today. I already have a savings account with Kent Reliance yet they want me to post copies of my statements to a Sunderland address, which I feel totally uncomfortable with carrying out. Flies against everything you have learned about scams! If they don’t accept my documents by email, I will be closing and moving my accounts to somewhere best suited to today’s technology! Very disappointed as this was a good bank to deal with.
