I am going to make sure none of my colleagues signs up for this stupid pension.

Increase the opt-out date by more than 1 month, you are forced to sign up and then trapped for 1 month and then forever

I am sorry to hear you have found the opt-out process frustrating. I also apologise if there has been any confusion over our opt out process - you are able to opt out via phone, post or online.

Unfortunately, if you don’t opt out within one month of being enrolled by your employer, UK law means we’re not allowed to pay out the money in your pot until you reach age 55 (rising to age 57 in 2028), except in rare situations. I know that can be frustrating.

Anyone can stop or pause contributions at any time. We’ll invest whatever’s in your pot on your behalf while we’re looking after the money for you.

I would give 0 starts if possible

*After my review I was contacted by Nest. I have since spoke to their team 4 additional times on the phone, sent over evidence already received twice to be told on the 2nd of July it was being resolved within 24 hours as "they had everything they needed". To then receive another 'you may have 2 accounts but we need more details' letter on the 7th and a "please confirm your name for us again on the 3rd". A complete joke - I am now escalating to both the pensions ombudsman and the financial conduct authority or violating consumer duty regulations.

I would give 0 starts if possible. I have been attempting to transfer 2 pensions out of NEST for months and it has been a nightmare. Pension providers are legally required to treat customers fairly and they are clearly violating the Financial Conduct Authority (and I've escalated this to them).

I have spoke to Nest at least 8 times, confirmed all unique identifiers; NI, name, ID, addresses, policies numbers and company names. I have instead been told they cannot do anything except send me a PDF form (which I had to chase) for which I have printed out, manually filled in and returned to their offices. I have done this THREE times and been given no update. Instead I get a bi-monthly "you may have multiple accounts".

Unbelievably terrible service and maliciously designed to prevent you from transferring your funds away from them.

Avoid at all costs.
