The staff are not nice!!!! The girl that attended to us only cares about our money or purchase! Went back a week after and she pretended not to know us! And yes she recognized us! Terrible staff and customer service! Both online and in store
Chad @ edinburgh made my purchase a breeze. Was very helpful and explained materials and costs brilliantly. Great value for what we got.
Dave was excellent wasn’t too pushy just told us the information and left alone to browse the items and was approachable when we needed to ask questions so it was a very relaxing experience. Would definitely recommended and return
Nesrin was very friendly and not pushy. Good helpful advice.
Morna@edin really helpful and nice to chat with

I ordered 3 beds, 1 dining table, and 1 sofa set from NCF Living, spending nearly £5,000, including delivery and assembly fees. What followed has been one of the most stressful, shocking, and deeply disappointing experiences I have ever had. Most of the items arrived defective, with what appeared to be a second-hand mattress, missing parts, and furniture that simply could not be assembled. From that moment, the real nightmare began.
1. Sales experience
The salesperson was very polite before payment. However, the moment the money was taken, the attitude completely changed. I was bluntly told: “we can’t do anything now, you have to contact customer care.” It felt like their only role was to take money and disappear.
2. Customer service nightmare
Trying to reach customer care was exhausting. Calls went unanswered for hours, emails were ignored, and after days of trying, I was told the issue was the fault of the “warehouse” or “delivery team,” and that they needed to investigate it, leaving me waiting with no resolution. After waiting over a month, I had to start chasing them again. When I finally got through, I was asked to pay additional “admin” and “delivery” fees just to resolve issues that were entirely their responsibility. This was beyond frustrating and honestly shocking.
3. Cancellation penalty
When I considered cancelling due to all these problems, I was told half of the money would be deducted. At that point, I felt completely trapped.
4. Absurd policies
One item was too large to fit through the staircase. At no point during the purchase was I asked about access or warned about the size. Their solution?
Pay re-selection fees, admin fees and another delivery fee. It gets worse. The smaller version of the same item is £131 cheaper, yet: I was not allowed to use the remaining £131 toward any fees like re-selection fees, admin fees and delivery fee. I could not apply it to my another existing order where I paid half I was told I must place a completely new order
Out of sheer frustration, I asked what I could buy with £131. The answer? Nothing. Minimum items cost over £300. Even when I suggested a £100 chair, I was told they don’t sell single chairs. I even asked if the money could be donated to charity, and unbelievably, that was also refused. At that point, I was honestly speechless.
5. Final thoughts
What makes this experience even worse is how rude, dismissive, and unhelpful the customer service has been throughout. The contrast between their friendliness before payment and their behaviour after is shocking. We were so excited to furnish our new home, but instead, this has turned into a 2-month ordeal full of stress and frustration. We have had to extend our rental because essential furniture like beds are still unusable over a month after delivery, despite reporting the issues immediately. I genuinely feel trapped and misled. This experience has been exhausting, upsetting, and completely unacceptable. I strongly urge anyone considering NCF Living to think very carefully before purchasing. I would never want anyone else to go through what we have experienced.
Charles @ Preston store was knowledgable and helpful.
Noel was very informative but not pushy. And hopefully the delivery will be on time.
Mark was very helpful and friendly, he explained everything in simple terms.
Went in looking for a dinning table and chairs, and Holden the sales guy who we dealt with was absolutely brilliant, just let us decide for ourselves with no pressure, needless to say we purchased a table + chairs and also a sideboard cupboard!! which are top quality and such a great price :))
