Worked really well, except initial valuation overrated but still achieved a good price. Uploading photos took some while to get precise but collection by dealer went well and everything done in 3 days... See more

Time Wasters
I uploaded my Vauxhall Corsa to Motorway after being given what looked like a very competitive valuation. After jumping through hoops and uploading what felt like a million photos, I put the car into auction expecting strong interest, especially as Motorway had told me my car was "in demand".
The reality? One lowball offer that wasn't even close to what I'd been led to expect.
When I called Motorway to query this, the experience only got worse. The advisor was rude, barely listened to what I was saying, and instead launched into what felt like a scripted sales pitch about why I should accept the offer. I was also told that if I re-listed the car, other dealers would be able to see the previous listing and offer amount, which felt more like pressure to accept the bid than genuine advice.
To make matters worse, I couldn't find any obvious option to reject the offer through the platform. There seems to be plenty of encouragement to accept a poor bid, but no straightforward way to decline it.
After reading other reviews, I'm glad I didn't proceed. The whole experience felt like a waste of time. The attractive valuation got me through the door, but the actual offer bore little resemblance to it.
Superstar Zoe
Spoke to Zoe. What a nice lady. Couldn’t take my car due to no MOT but she gave me alternative options. Very friendly and polite. Pleasure speaking to her
It's a brilliant service.
Relatively simple process, (I'm told) which was completed with the help of a younger person.
Perhaps a little unfair but I thought some of the language used was a little confusing for me, I am 73 though.
You do a fine job, thank you.
Very easy to sell

First time selling a car on Motorway
First time selling a car on Motorway, genuinely found it really easy. Achieved £1,500 more for my car than offered as 'trade in'. Dealer who purchased it via motorway was pleasant and a quick smooth collection, they paid what they bidded and funds were in account before they drove away.

Twice Sold, Twice Let Down...
My experience with Motorway was extremely disappointing and, ultimately, a complete waste of time.
I listed my car with detailed photos and all the required documentation. I did make one genuine mistake by forgetting to include the most recent service in the service book, although I had the official receipt to prove the service had been completed.
The car sold within 24 hours, and I was told the buyer would contact me to arrange collection. As I was working to a tight deadline before leaving the country, I called Motorway for an update. That's when I discovered the sale had already been cancelled because the buyer believed the last service was missing. What frustrated me most was that nobody from Motorway informed me. I received no phone call, email, or cancellation notification whatsoever. Had I not called, I would have been left waiting indefinitely.
To be fair, the customer support team was polite and helpful. They asked me to upload the service receipt, confirmed everything was in order, and relisted the car.
The car sold again 24 hours later, but this time for a significantly lower price (£3,900 compared with a valuation of around £5,000). Because I was running out of time, I reluctantly accepted the offer.
Once again, I was told the buyer would contact me. Instead, I had to chase the buyer myself, only to be told they couldn't collect the car for another two weeks. The buyer even suggested I cancel the sale and ask Motorway to relist the car again. I contacted Motorway, and they suggested approaching the previous bidder at £3,800, but after everything that had already happened, I had completely lost confidence in the process.
The following morning, I took my car to Webuyanycar. They initially valued it at £5,000, inspected it, and offered me £4,425, which I was happy to accept. The whole process took around 30 minutes. I signed the paperwork, handed over the keys and documents, and that was it. Simple, professional, and completely stress-free.
What disappointed me most about Motorway wasn't just the lower offers—it was the lack of communication, the uncertainty, and the amount of time wasted. I constantly had to chase updates myself, and there was no proactive follow-up after either sale fell through.
While I appreciate that the customer support staff were courteous and tried to help, the overall process was unreliable and unnecessarily stressful. Based on my experience, I won't be using Motorway again and wouldn't recommend it to anyone who needs a straightforward, dependable car-selling experience.
The actual mechanics of listing good
The actual mechanics of listing and selling were good, collection and payment by dealer was excellent, the price I got was well short of my expectations and the estimate by motorway
Speedy service for selling my car
Speedy service for selling my car, cutting out the hassle of selling privately and being ripped off by other companies.

Well I signed up and took ages doing all they wanted to get it on their site, they first quoted £22400 at first and after a lot of work they advised the reserve price was slightly below this figure and they advise in the small print that we will receive quotes of this or above this figure. Big build up by them over the next 24 hours then finally when the auction had happened they advised I had 3 offers all below £20444.
Not impressed, but I nearly said yes until i read the small print, I would then have had to wait 3 to 7 days for the dealer to contact me, they would then come along, test the car , do a computer check on the OBD, then review what they offered and offer even less.
I went to We buy any Car and got nearly what they originally offered apart from a few small deductions in half an hour with out any of the faff Motorway made me do.
My advice, go else where, any where but not Motorway
