Lyk Card 

Used Lyk card for 1 year in Spain. Now that Thomas Cook have gone into liquidation no ATS machine will accept it or shop in Spain. Luckily, not too much money left on the card. Sent email to them but no response whatsoever and no chance by telephone despite being advised online by them to contact them and all will be resolved. Funny though, they will still allow you to transfer monies ONTO the card. !!!!

Lyk card did work before Thomas cook went bust but now error messages appear at ATM and all readers. No access to money. My money is stuck.
I have >€1100 and > $150 on the card
I contacted lyk but no reply.

I have had 3 issues since having a lyk card.

1st Ibhad a fraud on my account last year in India. It took a lot of phone calls and mentioned I was passing the matter on to the ombudsman then I got my refund.

2nd is a pending transaction which I am still waiting for.

3rd. 2 transactions made one was voided. However my balance is still down 2 amounts even though only 1 transaction went through.

Tried ringing them to be told it was declined

Do not use!! And all of the operators do not speak very good English.

We used to load cash onto this card in branch, now thomas Cook has ceased, where can we load cash onto our card?

I would like to transfer my dollars to sterling tried to log into my Lyk account tells me my password on the first line is invalid. What can I don’t.? I tried phoning the number on the back of my card but it appeared to repeat my log in number.

Since Thomas Cook have went into Liquidation we are no longer going our holiday to America. We have Dollars on our card that we will be changing into GBP. Before we do so we would like to know if the card works in ATM machines in the uk and will we be able to take our money out no problem??

Trying to contact Lyk as I have lost my card and therefore cannot login. there is no access to phone numbers without logging in?? such a backwards circle. would like a contact email or number so I can log in to my account and remove my funds.

How do I contact someone with regards to changing money from dollars to pounds?
I cant gain access via app it tells me I'm blocked if I try via web it tells me to contact money provider but no number etc to contact and Thomas Cook hav gone bust so cant contact them

I am trying to withdraw my funds off the card it’s in US dollars so do I have to convert that back to GBP to be able to take it out? If I do then I’m being changed a fee which I don’t agree with. I tried to withdraw my funds yesterday and it said insufficient funds but I know I am only trying to withdraw what’s on the card. You can’t speak to anyone it’s frustrating

Will my lyk card still work now thomas cook has gone bust

My husband and I have new cards trying to register the cards on the app, keeps saying incorrect password not even put it in yet. So whats the problem it is so frustrating, also is my money safe now that Thomas Cook had collapsed.

my money is all in Turkish lira as did not go need to change over to pounds but can not get on sight to do this so can not use

Card will still work and can continue to be used - the issuer is Wirecard in the UK and the scheme is Mastercard. Funds are not owned by Thomas Cook.

If it helps anyone worrying, I have still been using my lyk card even with Thomas Cook going into administration, I'm not sure in the way of contacting them however it definitely still works, I have now withdrawn all the money of it (at a charge because its mastercard) and so all my money is now safe.

Who owns this card?, as a mastercard logo on it....worried now with Thomas Cook going to the wall, web site goes to TC web site !!!
Tried calling the number supplied and still on hold as i am typing this, I don't hold much hope, what else can go wrong?

Not happy with the Lyk app I have tried on several occasions to get into this app with no success. Went into my Thomas Cook branch to make sure my registration has been done properly. It has been registered but I cannot get into the app at all. I have deleted the app on three occasions and reinstalled it but it still doesn’t work. What is going on with your app??

Do not use it! your money will be taken by
" flat rate", " tolerance amount" and you will never be able to spend all money from the card, they suggest to pay remaining balance to a charity or exchange at a lower possible rate, less with a fee, day light robbery!!!

Exactly the same experience as another reviewer. I used the Lyk card to pay a deposit for a boat hire. At the end of the hire period, the deposit was returned by the boat company on to the Lyk card. A week later there is no evidence of this repayment on my account on the App. When I contacted Lyk the agent informed me that the money was due to be returned to my balance on the 23rd of this month - 3 full weeks after it was repaid. She also told me it was the merchant who retains the deposit not Lyk - but according to the hire company this is not the case. It looks like I'm just going to have to wait - but why on earth should I have to? I am back home so it's not really a problem but if I was still on holiday and dependent on those funds it certainly would be. Suffice to say I will be getting the money paid back into my bank account asap and will not be taking a Lyk card out again!!

Topped up before our trip to lanzarote. Worked great for the for few days then all of a sudden stopped working! Each time saying chip error. Called to 24 hour number to be told we will send you a new card, will she 7-10 days!! What?? I needed my money there and then but they wouldn’t even transfer back to my bank! Luckily we had back up but for anyone with all their money on that card they would be stuck!! Avoid like the plague and find a better pre paid card!!

I have had lots of issues using the card... every time I’ve travelled the account continually gets blocked despite using the correct password. I have tried emailing and phoning but to no joy, only got through once back in the UK after my holidays. The frustrating inertia has made it hard to get around this flaw. I wont be using it again.
