Contacted John Moncrieff for advice regarding accidental breakage of glass lamp shade. Was advised to send photo of lamp and thereafter recommended a suitable stock item. Replacement lamp shade fitted like a glove and delivered promptly.

Be prepared for a little wait...
I ordered a lampholder. When it arrived via a courier, it was wrapped protectively and securely. The downside was that it took 4 days from the time of order. This was stated upfront, but I kind of hoped a single lampholder might be delivered quicker. Anyway, it is what it is.

Friendly, useful and efficient
Better than I could expect, John Moncrieff provided a friendly, useful, efficient and good value service. I would thoroughly recommend them. I just wanted a single length of glass tubing with no frills and they happily supplied that. Initially I ordered and paid for the wrong length (too short) but since I contacted them again before it was dispatched they were happy to upgrade the order and I just paid the difference. The glass arrived the next day, safe and sound exactly as specified. Great service.
