I had a very frustrating experience…
I had a very frustrating experience with Hobbiesville’s final sale policy. I accidentally placed an order and tried to cancel it immediately, but there are no options to cancel an order, even right after it’s submitted.
I contacted customer service right away hoping they could help reverse the mistake, but they told me there were no options available for cancellation or refund due to their final sale policy. Unfortunately, customer service was not helpful in offering any alternatives or solutions.
I understand that stores have policies, but a complete lack of flexibility for instant mistakes and no self-service cancellation option makes for a poor customer experience. I would strongly recommend double- and triple-checking your order before submitting, as there is no recourse if something goes wrong.
Update:
Rick from Hobbiesville reached out to me directly to help resolve the issue, which I do appreciate. That said, I still believe their customer service process needs improvement. There should be better options in place to fix simple mistakes, especially when a customer reaches out immediately after placing an order. This situation shouldn’t have been a problem in the first place, and clearer or more flexible support options would go a long way in preventing frustration for future customers.

They automatically added that 7$ shipping protection at checkout like snakes. Emailed them immediatly with no way to hold or cancel order before they responded 24hrs later saying they cant refund... never again
Basically Told to Kick Rocks
I placed an order that included several items, but when the package arrived, one of the products was missing. I contacted customer service with a clear explanation, but the response was disappointing. They refused to take responsibility and blamed the issue on the fact that I hadn’t purchased their “order protection.”
For clarity, order protection is meant to cover issues during shipping — not mistakes made during packing. Despite this, they declined to verify their inventory, provide proof that the item was actually packed, or offer any kind of resolution.
I ultimately had to go through my credit card company to get a refund, which should never be necessary for a simple missing item.
Very disappointing customer service. I do not recommend this seller.
Great customer service
Great customer service! When I placed an order which I needed to update after the fact, the Hobbiesville team was very responsive and kindly updated the order.
Only Positive Experiences with Hobbiesville So Far
I've placed a few orders now with Hobbiesville (based out of Canada). The first time I was hesitant, one of those "too-good to be true" kind of things on their pricing, and some of the reviews I had seen weren't so great. But they delivered, and they delivered quick. Everything was in order, and I actually got a really good hit out of one of the booster boxes (top 2 from the set). My subsequent orders arrived even faster and were even better value.
I don't often sing praises, but this is one of my favorite stores. Just wish they had more in stock!

Incompetent, shady
Purchased an item listed as “fall collector tin” with no release date, and found out 2 months later it is not to be released until the end of january. Requested a refund because I no longer wanted it and they charged me a 10% restocking charge for an item that they never had to restock in the first place? Requested cancellation either way and they claim they cancelled it on November 28, and I had to email them 3 times to follow up on when my refund would be given and they kept saying I need to relax its coming. On the third time I checked in all of a sudden they say sorry the refund was never put through. shady incompetent company won’t be be giving them my business ever again.
Bad costumer service. Unrealistic wants for police reports for unsent packages
*edit*
After the 1 star review a new rep reached out, though too eager as called the number for the shipping address and got approval from someone who clearly stated they were not me to reship the items, and disregarded the information I had previously given to the initial customer rep. I do appreciate that after further emails they did call me and get everything sorted and they were a truly kind individual. They then overnight shipped my package and though a month late and a big ordeal my little brother did get his magic cards and a couple freebie packs. My advice skip costumer service altogether and write a bad review, they respond much faster and are quicker to deal woth the problem.
It wasn't so much that my order was returned to them, it was how unhelpful and hard it was to get to costumer service, the package was clearly returned to sender and I bought their package protection, but they have a 2 day window for you to "file a police report "or your case is closed forever. not worth the risk.
"I have begun filing a claim for you with our claims team who will be looking to provide you with a resolution as quickly as possible. In order to proceed with the next step in this claim, we will require the confirmation of a filed Police Report in PDF from. Please note that this must be provided within 2 business days. If the report is not submitted within this time frame, your claim will be closed and cannot be reopened."

Terrible customer service
Terrible customer service. Phone is never answered. Getting an email response is like pulling teeth.
Held my package for a week and half. When i emailed to ask about the package and why they took my payment but didn't send the order, they said that my order was flagged as a “high-risk” order. Whatever that means.
Glad i reached out to them or they might never have sent it out.
Worst retail experience I've ever had. Crap communications with awful excuses. E-commerce might not be a good fit for Hobbiesville
Takes your money, Wont send the order, doesnt even bother to tell you. Anti-consumer.
EDIT* in response to the owners comments.
On Wednesday at 1:30pm I responded to your request about verifying the order. “The high risk” order. Once again as i discussed, i reached out to you about that issue. Usually if a company has a problem with payment processing they reach out to the customer, not the other way around. The next time i heard anything about the issue was on Thursday at 7pm. More than 24 hrs later. Then finally the confirmation that the order was sent out was friday at 7:30pm. Another 24 hours. So to be clear from me contacting you guys about my money being taken and the package not being sent out, and you guys actually sending out the package was 48 hrs. Funny you suspected it was a fraudulent order but still took the money.
Let’s also not forget that I did not want this order to begin with. I explained to you that it was purchased in error and I asked for the order to be canceled, but you told me that couldn't cancel the order because of “company policy”. There were many times for you to correct this whole situation. Refusing to cancel an order and then not sending the order because you suspect fraud without contacting the customer was not the way to handle it.
An email i received from Hobbiesville “ Thank you for your email. I understand your concern, and I apologize for the delay with your order. We've been very slammed with a combination of high profile product releases, and Black Friday, that our processing time - both for emails and packing orders - has fallen behind.”
Your excuse for this whole problem was that you didn't contact me because you were just too busy. Yet somehow they find the time to respond to my 1 star review within 24 hrs. Too busy to pick up the phone but all the time in world to respond to 1 star review. It speaks volumes. Also get real if you expect me to think that any real business owner would honestly think its okay to not ship out a customers order after a week and half without telling the customer and after taking their money. This was a 200 dollar order not a pack of pokemon cards.
Once again Hobbiesville. Maybe you should focus more on the customer experience and less time debating customers about their crap experience shopping at your store.
Now, get back to work. Im sure you're behind.
