Review summary

Created with AI, based on recent reviews

Evaluating 88 reviews, most reviewers were unhappy with their experience overall. Customers frequently describe customer service as a nightmare, finding it nearly impossible to contact a human agent. Support is often unhelpful, unprofessional, and ends chats abruptly without resolving issues. Many also experienced significant problems with the service itself, including poor coverage, issues receiving calls and texts, and services not activating. Billing and payment issues are a common complaint, with people charged for services never received or activated. Conversely, a small portion of people felt the service itself was reliable, offering stable internet and good speeds, especially for long-term users. These customers often praise the excellent value and consistent pricing without unexpected increases, making it a cost-effective choice.

After 6 months, I have a decided opinion that this service is raunchy. Telephony sounds like the first IP calls 20+ years ago. Most of the conversations were unintelligible and just made both parti... See more

Been with Gomo for about 5 years now and haven't had any service issues so far. However, they've now made it impossible to contact them - the chatbot is the only means and it won't direct you to a hum... See more

Not good-don’t go near them-my old…

Not good-don’t go near them-my old number had not ported over and they won’t escalate for 5 days. I have been advised that if I cancel now which I want to do my old number may be cancelled because the process of changing back to my old number had begun. As they are online only you can’t speak to anyone. Not worth it.
UPDATE: My number has been ported now.

5G……don’t think so

I have been with GoMo parent company Eir for years with little or no issues. Switched to GoMo 1st March 2024 and noticed the data settings data.myeirmobile.ie are exactly the same and thought great, it’s going to be 5G like Eir……How wrong could I be, I have Ookla speed tests going back years. In February 2024 mobile data pulling down 201 Mpbs up at 186 Mpbs at home. Since moved to GoMo which uses same transmitter and owned by Eir it’s an atrocious 23/5.6 respectively from same location and time of day on repeated days. Advertising as 5G but clearly not and same company. It’s like Eir have punished me for going to another Eir company and withholding cellular bandwidth on purpose just for me choosing to move. It’s false advertising and I’m sure not only one who has experienced this. The Consumer Protection crowd will take notice hopefully. Rant over but for anyone considering moving who relies on a decent speed don’t. Buying cheap inevitably means you’ll pay twice.

Terrible data and customer service

Terrible data and customer service, took me days to find a number to call after researching for ages, data is overall terrible, I can't even run my hotspot for my son to play his games, it doesn't work.

The worst decision I could make

The worst decision I could make, don't have signal in my own house the internet is slow, they charge you for a fee of 14.99€ and you think is the service but it's not, so you'll be paying 30€ for fee and service on the first month. You need to know that the 14 days for cancellation is counting from the day of the purchase and not from the day you started enjoying the service, it means that if you bought on 12th and you started enjoying the service on 18th they will count from 12th, not even when you start the service, that's ridiculous! Also if you ask for cancellation they won't even give you the information, I got it but it was contacting them via email , they just cancel it without telling you that you'll be charge for the whole month even when you think that you are on the 14 days. Terrible service in all ways. Never join them.

Deserves MINUS 10 stars

Absolutely appalling, the worst, slowest Internet.
I have two numbers with this company, one that costs me €10 a month and one that costs me €14. The Internet on the cheaper one is absolutely ridiculous, doesn't even load reels on IG properly!!
Also had a raoming call (within the EU), that cost me €30, don't even know how this can possibly be legal, as within the EU calls should be free.
I'll be migrating both my numbers to a proper, decent provider, as this company is nothing but money down the drain. AVOID!

Poor customer service

My husband ordered and received a GoMo SIM card and all went well. So I decided I'd use the same provider. After no communication I enquired and there was an 'issue' that they couldn't reveal and then shut the chat down. This happened several times with the chat team just shutting things down when they run out of answers, usually along the lines of 'I've not heard from you for a while so I'm shutting the chat down' - literally seconds after my response! Still no SIM card - I can't recommend I'm afraid

Very happy

Have been with gomo since it launched in 2019. Havent had issues since joining. Solid signal in Dublin. Roaming works fine, tho speeds not always amazing.
Used to have continually port around networks getting the "best deal". Now I dont have to do anything. Still paying €10 a month 4+ years later.

Poor customer service

Poor customer service.

No contact number to reach out to them. The virtual assistant won’t help a think. I changed my card details and paid up. Still seems i have outstanding balance from last year. Now I’m barred from out going calls. If you can, you would rather not subscribe to them.

If I could zero stars I would

If I could zero stars I would . The worst network provider in Ireland. Yes their cheap but that comes with a huge long term cost . Customer service or should I say the lack of it is absolutely appalling. Over a week now for SIM replacement activation (this is my third) now as the data keeps failing after few months.Normally not an issue just order replacement and activate in a few mins but not this time . You can only contact by chat or email ...chat starts of with a virtual assistant (waste of time) then an agent who is reading of a pre defined script and will not go outside with answers only what's in front of them ...giving you the same repetitive answers time and time again AVOID AVOID
Stay with mainstream

I purchased a sim and didn't need to…

I purchased a sim and didn't need to use it asked if I could be put on hold by a member of staff and was told it was alright. Only to get changed the next month after never using the sim in the first place. Then was basically told its a rolling contract so I closed it and lost the money. Don't waste your money and time.
