AVOID!!!
I’ve had one of the worst customer service experiences in Ireland with Three. I’ve been dealing with ongoing issues for nearly a year now, and they still haven’t been resolved.
We originally signed up for broadband, and my partner set up a pay-as-you-go phone plan. Somehow, things were switched over incorrectly without our consent, which caused a huge amount of confusion and stress.
I’ve had to contact them at least 15 times, and despite all that effort, nothing has been properly fixed. The level of professionalism has been extremely poor — to the point where I’ve had to involve solicitors just to try to get this sorted.
Even after my partner cancelled her pay-as-you-go plan, they continue to charge her card, and we’ve received no clear communication or resolution.
Overall, this has been a very frustrating and disappointing experience. I would not recommend Three based on the lack of support, accountability, and customer care we’ve received.

This is the second time i order…
This is the second time I’ve had the same issue with Three Ireland.
The product (Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra Black 256GB) was clearly shown as “in stock”, and I placed my order before the 4pm cutoff for next-day delivery, as per their policy.
I received confirmation, but no dispatch email. My order status even showed “Completed” before reverting back to “Submitted”, which is very concerning.
After speaking with support, I was eventually told the item is actually out of stock — contradicting what is shown on their website.
There was no proactive communication (no email or call), and the information provided by support was inconsistent.
This is misleading and a poor customer experience, especially as it has now happened more than once.
I would advise others to be cautious when ordering items listed as “in stock”.
13 years later review
After thirteen years (13) with them I am moving. I had an issue with a bill and they were quite nasty and unprofessional almost like a vulture fund. Result. I paid the bill. Realised that they are no longer the best deal by far. In fact they're the worst and move to another company with my number. I learned they own "48" too so please avoid.
Three Business Customer very poor service
I have been a Three business customer since 2005. I have to say, customer service in the past 2 years has been appalling, and the help and support that was there is now nonexistent. I am really disappointed with how poorly the company has progressed in supporting business customers.
Switched from personal to business…
Switched from personal to business account. Absolute nightmare - seemingly being charged for both still despite being assured they would automatically shut down and now on the 4th attempt to address - they just pass you between team to team. Completely awful customer care.
Brilliant marketing, dreadful everything else…
The fact that all the reviews are either 5 stars or 1 is a good warning. All the positive reviews are sales pitches saying what great customer service there is in the shop, and better upgrade packages. I recently changed over to 3 as they seemed to offer a competitive package, boasting the best data and roaming (which I need). Since changing I can hardly make a phone call or use data even though it shows strong network availability. Will cling on to get the phone and chuck it immediately after. Their business model clearly relies on their splendid marketing. Don’t be conned like me 👍
Absolutely appalling service i had the…
Absolutely appalling service i had the plug in moved house advised by the alarm company to get engineered installed as it wouldnt pick up the cameras and fought with 3 to get an engineer out! Eventually 3 mths later from the first call an engineer called out on Friday and it has done nothing but drop signal since Friday tv , cameras , dog cam etc again working in Dublin away from home and no access to any camera in the house so really frustrating the fact that the the call team are all
Indian and english is not their first language and they dont listen they just keep skirting around the issue and say they will
Ring you back but dont
Don't recommend at all stick with sky or another company . They have every excuse as to why it doesn't work

I moved over from imagine only a few…
I moved over from imagine only a few weeks ago and I am having major issues with coverage going down at random times. I work from home and thought that the service quality would be exactly the same in respect of broadband as I didn’t have problems like I’m having now with 3! It goes down numerous times during the day unlike anything I’ve experienced before and right now it’s not fit for purpose. I tried to find “support” contact details on their site but kept being brought around in circles. Please be advised focus on the feedback here and not bonkers or switcher! As I feel completely lied to about the service level availability expected. It’s Saturday evening and the tv isn’t working because the box is red and has lost complete coverage! This never happened with other providers
You pay for the service but you don't…
You pay for the service but you don't get the service. That's the THREE.IE business model. Contacting support is a superhuman task, only individuals with great patience and knowledge can handle it. Then the support, from somewhere in India, tells you for half an hour how great your signal is, then tries to set up first 4G, then 3G and then 2G (too bad it hasn't worked for a long time) and only after 40 minutes "discovers" that there is a problem in the location but experts are definitely working on it. If even after three days the situation doesn't improve, they restart your service in the middle of the call without warning (good defense against the customer). Their knowledge is truly amazing, after 20 minutes they understood the difference between POP3 and SMTP, each of them is simply an expert. You write a complaint and no one answers. There are no phones on THREE.IE, why would a telecommunications operator have them......... What is this? Why are they in Ireland?
Customer Sevice
This morning I visited the 3 store in the Parkway Shopping Centre to buy a replacement phone. On entering the shop I was greeted by Lisa who immediately put me at my ease as she adviced on the various options available to me.
After choosing a phone the wonderful Lisa proceeded to set up the phone for me. This was a great relief to me as I am not the best with technology.
It was so nice to experience such great customer service from a lovely young lady who went over and above to make me feel that nothing was too much trouble. Thank you Lisa.
Poor staff
Poor staff. I am paying an extra €700 (double the original price of the iPhone) for the €46 a month plan. It’s ridiculous. I asked the staff what the cheapest option was and he told me that was.
Recently visited the Cavan store
Recently visited the Cavan store, was looked after by Madeline, from the minute we walked through the door she was so pleasant and so helpful, couldn't have been looked after any better, it was a pleasure to deal with her, and I would definitely recommend her and her male colleague which was also very friendly. Definitely 10 out of 10😀
Eddy is Artane - excellent service
Eddy is Artane was most helpful today ... 10/10 for great customer service 👏 Thank you for your help
Three Ireland - disappointing customer service and treatment at end of contract
I had several calls with Three Ireland between August-December 2025 in relation to lost phone/lost SIM card. I will not go into the details however I am very disappointed. You receive certain assurances during calls and then, as commonly expected these days with big companies and customer service, what was discussed is not - or improperly recorded. You get one message over the phone, and another in writing.
I was disappointed with Three
I was disappointed with Three, especially after switching to Vodafone Ireland.
For the same price (€20 every 28 days), Three only gave me 200 minutes to Irish networks, while Vodafone offers unlimited calls and texts. This makes a big difference in daily use.
Compared to Vodafone, the value with Three is poor. The plan felt limited, and switching away was the best decision I made.
Overall, not great value for money. I would recommend Vodafone instead.
Visited the Three store in Ennis
Visited the Three store in Ennis, Co Clare. Maggie was amazing, and sorted out my problems in a few minutes. Her technical knowledge could not be faulted, and her customer skills were beyond excellent! She answered all my questions in a friendly and professional manner…such a lovely young lady. Also serving was Terry Joe, who was looking after another customer. They both seem to be a knowledgeable and friendly team!
