Grasmere view cottage
I booked via telephone due having a voucher, the person was very helpful which made the process easy. Once booked all information needed was sent by email. communication was very good and kept me up-to-date before and after the holiday. Deposit was refunded quickly. Would recommend

Beautiful place
Beautiful place, gorgeous views. Plenty of space and equipment for cooking, eating and relaxing. Great location - near Grasmere, but far enough away to be quiet and with great walks from the door without needing a car. Only suggested improvements would be was a washing line / more hanging space in the boot room and a working light at the bottom of the stairs for better safety.

Would definitely recommend staying
The hut was clean and tidy when arriving, and the owner had left biscuits and milk in the fridge. The instructions were very clear and made finding it very easy. The wooden fire hot tub has amazing views on a clear day/night and definitely adds to the experience. Would recommend

We’ve booked with Cumbrian Cottage holidays many times over the years , I think probably 12 times in total, and every stay has been fantastic. The cottages are always spotless, comfortable, and beautifully maintained, with everything you need for a relaxing break.
One of the things that really sets them apart is their excellent communication — they’re always friendly, quick to reply, and provide clear, detailed information before and during our stays. It makes the whole experience smooth and stress-free.
We also love the thoughtful touches, from welcome packs to local recommendations, which really help us make the most of our time away.
We would not hesitate in recommending them to anyone wanting to book a getaway.

Amazing location
The location of the cottage was amazing, as were the views. The directions were good and access instructions were easy to follow. The cottage was spacious and had everything we needed for a week-long stay. Very easy booking process, we would use Cumbrian Cottage Holidays again.

The Chard in Longtown
We stayed at The Chard in Longtown and it was beautiful. So peaceful, relaxing, and the hosts were lovely.
A whole host of wildlife, and the pizza shop delivers direct to the cottage. The food was delicious!
We stayed for 2 nights and it was a lovely break for myself and my husband.
Will definitely be returning. ❤️
