Such a privilege to be staying in an Arts and Crafts house for a week to celebrate my 80th!! Cosy fireside chats or playing Canasta, friends and family visiting, wonderful family evening meals around the large dining table and breakfasts around the smaller kitchen table.
Yes, it was glorious to be in the Lakes and even more enchanting to be in such a house.
I won't take a star off for not having a Kenwood to make the birthday cake since the kitchen had just about everything else we would need for 10!! And all spotless...

Wonderful holiday, everything was perfect and exactly as advertised. I would definitely use this company again. We have stayed in many holiday homes in the Lake District and this was the best we have ever stayed at.

Good choice of cottages.
Only downsides were early checkout (9am) and taking money for security deposit with balance. However this was refunded a couple of days after departure.

We stayed in Sledbank Cottage/Cottage in the Hill from 10th - 13th September 2025 and had a wonderful time. Mike and Toni are great hosts and the attention to detail was fantastic. They kindly decorated the cottage for my partners birthday and even baked us a homemade Victoria sponge which was delicious. Thank-you so much for allowing us to use this beautiful cottage as our home base for a few days whilst we explored the lakes, we had a fantastic time and would highly recommend the cottage to anyone looking to visit the lakes. We’ll definitely be back!

CCH couldn’t have been more helpful when our accommodation had to be changed at the last minute due to an unforeseen maintenance issue. They turned what could have been a stressful and anxiety-inducing situation into a seamless transition to a lovely alternate cottage. We were all very impressed with their attention to service, their communication, and the great place they found us.

A lovely and tranquil place to stay. The host is very welcoming, the pre arrival information was very informative. I wouldn't hesitate to book again.

We were informed that there were a couple of marks on the bed covers which may need the professional cleaners, meanwhile they have withheld our deposit of £250, which sounds to me completely over the top. besides we wrer informed they would get back to us on the actual cost very soon, its now been 14 days and we haven't heard a word from them.

Easy to book and kept informed of the booking.

The house was huge and so nice. There was so much to there and they provided sports games such as badminton. The house was an hour drive from the Lake District and was so clean. The swimming pool was big and secluded. The jacuzzi was amazing. My only issue is that many of the blow dryers didn’t work and the kitchen burners were really slow and weak so it would take a lot longer than usual to make food. I highly recommend this place, it was so worth the money.

Perfect in every way. Wonderful cottage wth excellent facilities and superb patio with view overlooking the lake. Our family get together was just the best and the location and comfort level of accommodation just added to our fantastic week in this cottage .

A lovely, cosy little cottage with everything we needed, easy to find and not far from anything so there was always something to do just a short drive away.

We had a wonderful stay at High House. Beautiful house set in picturesque scenery with everything we needed and more!
The house itself is beautiful with no expense spared and a real attention to detail - comfortable and spacious with a wonderful mix of traditional features and all the mod cons.
The surroundings and views are stunning - such a peaceful place to spend a break, coupled with bbq and hot tub it was exactly what we needed and we will definitely be back!
Barbara was wonderful, made us feel very welcome and the breakfast hamper was delicious. Nothing was too much trouble - thank you!

Gorgeous cottage, very nicely set up with comfy beds, well appointed kitchen and good shower. The village is picturesque with the Muddy Duck brilliant for brunch and the pub very welcoming with fabulous food. Duck food from the village shop led to a lovely time feeding the ducks at the pond the garden so beautifully overlooks. I really liked the vending machine that fills your own bottles with fresh milk from the local dairy, opposite the pub. Had to drag ourselves away to visit Keswick, Derwent Water and Hadrian's Wall. Highly recommended and the hosts were very efficient in sending drainage guys to fix the slow draining toilet. Thanks again.

It was a beautiful experience in a gorgeous place

house and pool room were ideal for our family but older kids were disappointed that the dart board had been taken out. the conservatory could do with a ceiling fan and magnetic mesh curtain to help with the heat and flies

This was our second stay here, after a short stay after Christmas. We loved it so much we booked to return in summer. The house is absolutely perfect, a true home from home with everything you could want or need for a comfortable and enjoyable stay. The location is fabulous and we loved our visit, we can’t wait to come back again soon! Many thanks.
