A lovely, well‑maintained cottage in a quiet and scenic spot with fabulous views. The interior is modern, spotless, and very comfortable, and the balcony is ideal for unwinding after a day outdoors. Its location on the eastern edge of the Lake District makes it perfectly placed for easy access to both the Lakes and the Yorkshire Dales. We really appreciated the secure bike storage and enjoyed the walk around Wet Sleddale and the surrounding local trails. A relaxing and enjoyable stay from start to finish.

The property was really clean and well situated in braithewaite. The kitchen facilities were really good We loved the nearby coledale round and the pubs in the area

WOULD BOOK AGAIN WITH CUMBRIAN COTTAGE HOLIDAYS, FAULTLESS INTERACTION WITH BOOKING. WHEN A QUESTION WITH REGARD TO THE COTTAGE WE HAD BOOKED AROSE, IT WAS ADDRESSED IN A COUPLE OF MESSAGES.

The cottage is replaced in beatiful place with wonderful view.
The explanation about arriving and keystorage were very clear.
The house was clean and served with all necessary things.
The apeared problem with refrigerator door was solved immediately in spite late hours in the middle of weekend.
The deposit was returned in few days

Excellent dog friendly cottage for our weeks escape from the norm.
Lovely cottage and clean furniture! Super king and king sized beds more than enough room.
Kitchen has all appliances we needed fridge, washing machine, toaster, kettle, oven.
The garden is amazing! It’s totally secure and covers a large area.

The cottage's location was it's USP! The view across the private garden from the French window was across Grasmere Lake to Grasmere village and surrounding fells. Watching the hourly light changes and cloud shifts was the best therapy I've had in years.
From the front door I was able to do a different fell or lake walk everyday.
There were a couple of minor issues with the cottage, but these were dealt with promptly and without fuss by the staff at Cumbrian Cottages.
5* experience and 5* service from initial booking to the end of my stay.
I have already booked my next stay!

We have just returned from a week in 8 Tarn End and absolutely loved it!
We have stayed in accommodation before that is described as ’luxury’ but it is often well worn or badly maintained and not so luxurious.
Not here! Tarn End is High End as far as we are concerned.
Everything was perfect. The accommodation was spotless, the furnishings were top quality, the kitchen was really well equipped with lovely crockery and glasses. Everything you could need was there.
We really appreciated the wonderful bath, the bath robes and the soaps and shampoo etc.
The view from the house is beautiful and we thoroughly enjoyed sitting on the terrace watching the dog walkers, the runners and the canoeists on the Tarn.
We left feeling relaxed, refreshed and wanting to come back for more.

Very smooth booking process online..even though it was last minute! Excellent communication. Loved by the kids and adults alike (Geltsdale East Wing) - would definitely use/book again!

The cottage is lovely and the upside down layout works brilliantly. The owners were responsive to our queries and very helpful.

This AirBnB was immaculately presented by our hosts with a thoughtful welcome pack with tea, coffee, milk and a few other items.

The property is very well presented with all home comforts including fresh bedding & fluffy towels as well as televisions in the lounge area & bedroom.

The kitchen had a selection of utensils, crockery, cutlery & cook wear and the lounge area was comfortable to relax in too.

Upstairs was nicely finished as well with a spacious bedroom and a cracking modern bathroom with WC, wash hand basin and large enclosed shower with multiple features.

Outside, there is a private hot tub area which was amazing to relax in throughout our stay.

The only area that I would note is that the driveway may be a little tight for larger vehicles.

This was our first visit but definitely won't be out last and I'd like to say a huge thanks to our hosts.

Brookside cottage is fantastic and so much better than the pictures show. The garden is just beautiful! It's such a peaceful haven and the cottage is perfectly placed to be a short walk into Hawkshead but it's not busy at all. The beds are lovely and comfortable and the showers were fab! The views out to the hills are stunning and you can do some great walks from the house. The kitchen was a lovely space to enjoy family time and was really well equipped. Frankly I'd like to keep this place a secret but that would deprived others of enjoying it. For us, it was perfect and we will be booking again as long as the prices stays reasonable. Thanks for a great stay.

Had a great stay at Black Bull Barn. Friendly comms, lovely abode, stunning area of the country.

The cottage provided everything we needed. it has a lovely garden to sit in. It is clean and well kept. Comfy bed and plenty of room upstairs. Off road parking is in a good safe position at the back. It was quiet and only a few minutes to walk in to Pooley Bridge. Would book again if in that area.

Old Belfield makes a great base for exploring Bowness, Lake Windermere and the Lakes. We enjoyed 4 nights in this beautiful cottage that is full of character and has everything needed for a very comfortable stay. The location is very peaceful with lots of space inside and out. It is walking distance to the centre of Bowness and its plentiful restaurants and amenities. The hill back is a bit steep but definitely doable (by a fairly fit couple in their 60s). I would love to return and wouldn't hesitate to recommend it.
