Julie was the person we met at the Co-op Funeral parlour in Stirling to arrange both my own and my wife’s Funeral Plans.
We were taken through the whole process which was seamless.
Julie put both of us at ease and explained all available options allowing us to make our final decision.
Thank you Linda& Donald Milne.
My great cousin sadly died and we used her Sunlife sim assured policy to pay towards the funeral. I paid the balance of £900 before discovering there were sufficient funds in her current account to cover the extra costs and so I contacted the Coop Hackney to advise. They said absolutely no problem we will issue an invoice for Nat West Bank which was promptly paid two days later- over a week before the funeral and I was clearly advised we refund you after the funeral has taken place on 15 May. It is now the 12 June and I’m still chasing my refund with repeatedly different excuses from Hackney coop funerals as to why my refund is delayed. The latest being Sunlife will reimburse me - this is completely incorrect Sunlife paid the assured sum direct to the funeral provider and coop has confirmed receipt of this on their invoice?! This is a very poorly run company and very stressful to deal with in trying to organise a funeral. Our flowers were not even put on the coffin :( Sadly I would recommend using a different provider.
I found the price of pre-payed plans competitive. I decided to purchase my plan from the long established Co-op which I felt comfortable with and trust.
An easy, quick and simple to follow website. Everything in place for the future with no extra worries. Speedy delivery of the funeral plan. Highly recommend.
It was like doing a business deal. Paid for funeral outright but did not feel it was personal. Still not understand it all. The appointment felt rushed .
Very friendly and thorough service from a trusted company
Easy to use website and clear instructions to follow
The Coop were very fair because l asked for a refund within the 30 day rule of l overcome my partner's objections l will rebook with the Coop.
All very clearly explained and both sensitively and professionally handled.
My wife and I each selected the Co-op funeral care 'direct cremation' package with no attendees. Straight forward cremation with no service or persons present.
We aren't good with computers so my wife and I did it on the phone.
It was straight forward and easy to do.
Everything was completed and paid for.
All of the documents came through. The only tiny bit that we had to ask for in addition was a receipt for each funeral plan to show that both were fully paid. These were provided.
The lady who dealt with my appointment was very good at explaining everything and she was very nice

We met with John at Co-op, Lady Lane in Paisley. He was so very kind and helpful. He listened to why we wanted to make arrangements now rather than later and explained all our options. He was very diligent and made sure that we were 100% certain of our choices, he even said we could "take a few days" and return if we were unsure of anything before making a purchasing our Funeral Plans. He also gave us some good advice about preparing our future wishes. My husband and I are both happy that these decisions have been made.
