Quite the con

If I could leave 0 stars, I would. I also purchased a cat tree and received a bag of rope. They also offered me a $7 refund which I declined. So now I have to pay to ship this back to China to receive my refund? What a scam.

It’s a Scam...

I, like many others, also received rope. I’m currently disputing the charge through PayPal. The seller initially offered a $7.00 refund, which I declined. I’ve included a copy of my email below, I also included images of the promised item (search Cocomaking and a new web page (greydragon) with images of the cactus cat tree, will show up). I also included images of the rope I received, along with a link to this website. Feel free to use my email to dispute your own fraudulent charges. This person clearly has experience defrauding consumers, and I’d hate to see them get away with.

Email I sent to PAYPAL:

The seller (under the business name Cocomaking) described the item I’d be receiving as a Cactus Cat tree made from environmentally safe, hemp rope. I’ve included the sellers description of the listed item in the images below. I’ve also included images of the Cactus Cat tree, I agreed to purchase, from what I assume is the sellers new website (GreyDragon).

After 2 and a half months, I received two pieces of toxic smelling rope. I’ve also included an image of the item I received, for comparison.

The ‘Cocomaking’ website no longer exists. When you type the address in, you get an error page. However, if you search the company ‘Cocomaking’, you’ll find a significant number of people who were also scammed, and received rope, in lieu of the promised cactus cat tree. There are a growing number of negative reviews in ‘Trustpilot’. I’ve included a link to trust pilot below.

(Insert trustpilot link here)

I don’t know how much influence PAYPAL has, but I’d encourage you to preemptively investigate, and decline transactions from the 2 websites listed in the final image included. They are remarkably similar to the (now non-existent) Cocomaking website, and I imagine you’ll have an influx of claims in a couple of months, when unsuspecting buyers, once again receive rope, in lieu of cat trees.

I genuinely appreciate your time and help regarding this fraudulent charge. I feel confident that after completing your investigation, you’ll determine that Cocomaking deliberately misrepresented the item they were selling, consequently their billing is fraudulent, and a refund of $33.98 is the appropriate resolution.

Cactus Cat Scratching Tree Scam

Please contact PayPal directly on 1800 073 263 and report this scam. Here's the update: I ordered the cat scratching post and received 2 pieces of rope. I contacted PayPal to report the issue and open a case. I was offered refund US$7 of the US$31.50 by the seller which I rejected. They will ask you to upload photos so make sure you add those to support your claim. PayPal will then offer a refund if you send the item back to the seller. No, we won't be sending the item back at our cost. The seller can pay otherwise he's not getting it back. Your claim then gets rejected via automated response if you don't send back the ropes and provide a postal tracking number or receipt. Speak to a customer service representative and explain that this is a scam and you would like a full refund. This seller needs to be shut down and if everyone who has been scammed calls, then they will do something about it.

I hope this is helpful but..

I hope this is helpful but..
I finally got my money back after several attempts. Luckily, I paid through Paypal. Here is what you need to do:
1. Submit a Case through their Resolution Center (In Paypal).
2. This will be a back and forth struggle. Here is what I did to submit my case:
a. I took a picture of the item I was SUPPOSED to receive and then took a picture of of the item that I DID receive. IN my case it was a bag of rope. (Green and Brown).
b. Put this as your message: This was a complete scam. All that arrived, 1 month after the order, was a bag of two pieces of rope. And now the website that I placed the order through is gone, and I came across this forum of hundreds of others that also got scammed by these creeps. Here is the Forum: www. trustpilot.com /review/ cocomaking. com And here is where I bought the item from, the website is now gone. It had a full description and fake review and everything when I purchased it. www cocomaking. com .
c. After you have submitted your case, the Seller will try to offer a partial refund which ranges from $4 - $8. DENY IT.
3. PayPal will then ask you to ship the item back, which is also a scam because the Seller will demand you ship their item back. This costs more than the item your purchased, itself.
4. CALL PAYPAL. I was denied when I shot back that I was not sending the item back. So instead of accepting my scammers bullcrap... I called PayPal up and gave them my Case ID number and spoke with a customer representative. That representative took a look over the case, came to this website full of bad reviews, and immediately refunded my money back.
5. DO NOT GIVE UP. You WILL get your money back if you paid through Paypal. If it's through your Bank, you will need to dispute a different way.
I hope that this helped you.

I got scammed like most people posting…

I got scammed like most people posting on here, I had ordered a cat climbing tree and received some ropes - the good news is that I had paid via Paypal and after submitting a case 2 weeks ago, I have just received a full refund (after being offered a partial refund of US$ 6 by the seller which I declined !!!!). If you have paid using PayPal, I'd recommend logging a claim!

Scammers

Add me to the list of people who have been ripped off, though I haven't actually received anything yet! It has been over 6 weeks since I ordered my cactus tree and last week started to send emails to follow up with them. No surprise I have not received a response. Can I get a refund even though I haven't received anything yet?

Great to know that PayPal enables scammers like this. Received 2 bags of rope several weeks late; PayPal said they would refund if I returned to HK registered mail, which cost more than the initial product and shipping combined. They're clearly exploiting this aspect of their return policy aware that most people will just give up. Basically, I've been scammed twice.

THIS SITE IS A TOTAL SCAM

THIS SITE IS A TOTAL SCAM! I also bought what was suppose to be a cat cactus scratching post (saw AD on Instagram) but received 2 pieces of rope! I contacted seller thru Paypal and seller offered to refund me only $8, I declined immediately! I escalated claim to Paypal for help and they told me I had to return the ropes in order to get full refund. That I would have to pay for return shipping (which costs over $35 to ship internationally back to Hong Kong from US). So I called Paypal and spoke to someone and they said the best they can do is reimburse me up to $30 for shipping. Well why should I have to put in more effort to return something that was a total scam!? And what if package gets lost? I would be out of shipping costs and product cost? Paypal was of NO help at all, so I called my credit card company and they were able to issue refund with no hassel! I will not be using Paypal anymore, they are the worst in customer service! Clearly its a scam but they couldn't help. Call credit card company and report fraud is the best route to go bc Paypay will not help.

Scam!! Rope only!!

Yep! I guess that I am the next sucker out there! Apparently a fake Chinese company selling us something completely different from what we think we ordered. And taking about a month and half to get it to us! But, Yes I too only received a bag from China in the mail containing only rope.

Same experience as everyone else. Got a bag of rope from China. My credit card company refunded me, but I’m still worried they have my contact information and could have mined my card#. Whoever “Jason Wang” is they’re a complete a$$hole, can’t imagine how much money they’ve made off this.
