Truly terrible experience this morning…

Truly terrible experience this morning with an AIT crew delivering an LG washers and dryer machine. They clearly did not want to move the machine to the first floor and make tenuous excuses before becoming aggressive. None of the three operatives spoke English to any comprehensible level and relied on calling an AIT manager who also became exasperated with them. They drove off with our much needed washer dryer.

Poor delivery experience.

Received prescribed estimated delivery time via email at 21:40 the evening before scheduled delivery. Immediately contacted sender by return mail advising i could not arrange someone to be at home for my delivery as it was too late receiving said email and I requested a reschedule. Nothing further heard. I contacted the delivery company via telephone at 08:15 on day of delivery and was advised to allow an attempted delivery and explain to driver when they call 30mins from home. I managed to be home and thankfully so as no call from driver was received. In essence the company should not be advising so late in the evening and they should also have a mechanism to contact drivers advising of customers dilemmas should they arise. The member of staff I spoke to was courteous and helpful but her hands were tied. Drivers were with broken English and did not offer an explanation why he did not call. Hopefully in future delivery processes will change for the better.

Shoddy and awful experience


Appalling service from start to finish. I ordered garden furniture from Atkin and Thyme, and AIT managed to fail at almost every stage of the delivery process.

First, they failed to even collect the order from the warehouse on the original delivery date. Then, when they did eventually deliver, only 2 of 4 boxes arrived — a parasol and 2 chairs. The table and 2 further chairs went missing entirely. This was 2nd June.

A rescheduled delivery was booked for 10th June, with a window of 10:55–12:54. The van tracker showed the driver had travelled from Leeds and then sat stationary at Castle Donington for 75 minutes (from 10.45am to 12pm), apparently not a priority. When I contacted AIT via web chat to explain I had family commitments within the delivery window and needed to know what was happening, I was told they were "delayed" and had 7 other deliveries to make before mine, despite the docket showing us as stop number 1 of 21 with the cheerful note "just a few drops away."

Furthermore, they will call 30 to 60 mins away but what if the customer is deaf or unable to use the phone - which is in my case. I have lost working time and money spent on taxis (as need someone at home) due to their unreliability.

There is zero respect for customers' time. No proactive communication, no accountability, no urgency and mo apology. Atkin and Thyme's own customer service team were left in the dark too. They couldn't even confirm to the retailer whether AIT had the missing items on board.

Avoid this courier if you value your time or want your order delivered complete and on schedule.

Hopeless delivery

Hopeless delivery , disorganised process with my very late delivery somehow being to the front of the van putting it behind many other boxes. These had to be removed out of the away, to clear a path to my three packages. Following retrieving my parcels, both delivery men were doing different duties , so it left me to have to help one of the guys carry the boxes off the van and into my garage !
Less than proffesional! Hope not to see them again.

Worst delivery company I’ve experienced

The absolute worst service I have received in a long time, and abysmal delivery times too.

Ordered a bed frame for next day delivery, with it now being delivered over a week later. They somehow managed to mess up FOUR times in a row. I had organised the sale of my old frame based on the original delivery slot, so was sleeping on the floor.

Third failure (bearing in mind I had been calling each time they got it wrong and was calm about it) I raised a complaint and asked to speak to a manager, who was of course “in a meeting”. Rep who I was dealing with raised a complaint for me and asked whether I wanted to be contacted via phone or email. I chose phone, and was then told they’d be in touch within 48 hours (hilarious all things considered). This of course didn’t happen.

I then called twice to confirm the next delivery as I wasn’t receiving any updates, and was told TWICE that they could deliver BEFORE 10am and would expedite my delivery, as it had been long enough that I was now having to wait at another property for a mattress I purchased for my partner, on the day AIT were going to deliver.

10pm (hilariously late) night before, I get an update with a delivery time of 10:41-12:41 the next day. The delivery didn’t arrive until 2pm, and the package was absolutely destroyed and open at one end and had been (poorly) duct taped back up 😂

And to top it all off, after chasing my complaint, they responded to me via EMAIL with a template email that didn’t even address me by name 😂

Unbelievably bad service, if any companies use these lot as their delivery service, just buy it from another site.

Excellent service

Excellent service from ordering to delivery. Information about our delivery and the window for delivery was good. The personel who delivered our items from the Glasgow depot were pleasant, helpful and humorous. They unpacked the items and took the rubbish away. Really good service. Would use them again.

A great delivery experience

2 man delivery of a superking size mattress. The delivery men had to go up 2 flights of stairs which were quite difficult to negotiate but they did it very professionally. They respected my property and were polite. A great delivery experience

Just delivery guys!!!Nowt else!!not

They delivered to room I wanted, but that’s all was expecting them to set it up. But they don’t do that. Considering how easy it is to fix the pikes to the stand the lift tv into place, found this company rather useless to be fair. Customer service attitude could be addressed
