A wonderful experience for a novice gardener!

As a complete novice to gardening - and bulbs in particular - I found Farmer Gracy’s website incredibly helpful in helping me choose the right bulbs for my new garden. The guides and product descriptions made it easy to understand what to expect and how to plan ahead.

If I had one small suggestion, it would be to make the search function a bit more season-based. At the moment, you need to look through each flower or plant to see when it blooms and when to plant it. Having a seasonal filter or option would make it even easier for beginners like me to plan their gardens.
That said, the whole ordering process was seamless. I received a detailed email explaining exactly when my bulbs would be dispatched - based on the correct planting season - and it was clearly noted that they would be sent from the Dutch warehouse to ensure freshness. I also appreciated the regular email updates keeping me informed throughout.

For someone used to quick deliveries, it was actually lovely to wait for something that made sense - knowing it was being timed perfectly for planting. When the order arrived, everything was beautifully and sustainably packed. Each plant came in recyclable paper with clear instructions on how and when to plant, plus a detailed brochure about alliums and what to expect.

All in all, a superb experience that genuinely makes you want to buy more and keep planting! 🌷

Thank you so much for your review! It's great to hear your feedback. We understand that it can be overwhelming for new gardeners. If it helps, everything available to order on our website during summer and autumn needs to be planted in autumn and typically they flower in spring or early summer. Everything on our website from December to June is for planting during spring/early summer and those are summer/autumn flowering varieties. You can select the month of flowering using the filter on the website. If you open the 'all bulbs and plants' category and select 'April' for instance, everything which flowers in April will display on your screen.

Generally good service, but serious issues with parcel labeling process.

I’ve generally had a good experience with Hommer’s service levels as a Vinted seller, but it has been a mixed bag overall. Since Vinted acquired Hommer in October 2023, I’ve noticed some recurring issues that really need attention.

The main problem lies in the QR code stickers generated through Vinted. These labels show only a QR code with no name or address visible. Because of this, two of my parcels went completely off track. One ended up traveling around the Netherlands for a month and a half before reaching the buyer. Another, which should have gone to Belgium, was marked “lost” after nearly two months. To my surprise, I later received it back at my local post office within a week of the buyer confirming it as lost.

While it’s good that the item was eventually returned, this process causes unnecessary delays, frustration, and risks damaging trust with buyers. I raised this with Vinted’s support team, but their responses have been automated and unhelpful, simply saying there’s “nothing they can do.”

In my opinion, there is something that can be done: improving the labeling process so that parcels have both a QR code and basic recipient details. This would prevent parcels from going on unnecessary “tours” across Europe and give sellers and buyers more confidence in the service.

Overall, Hommer’s service works well when it works, but the labeling system is a serious flaw that needs urgent improvement.

Review of Velora-Amsterdam

Misleading company - poor quality products, false identity and refusal to refund.

I purchase a pair of sandals from this company and the experience has been shocking from start to finish.

1) Product quality: the sandals were of extremely poor quality and sized so small they seemed more suited for children.
2) Customer service: I contacted “Lisa” in customer service, who repeatedly tried to push me to accept discounts instead of returning the item. I made it clear I wanted to return the sandals.
3) Return process: I was instructed to send them back at my own cost to warehouse in Albania, which I did via recorded delivery. After I confirmed the return, the company refused to process a refund, suddenly claiming the 30 day period had expired - despite the fact that they were aware of my travel schedule and delays were communicated clearly.
4) Deception: It late came to light that “Lisa” is not real. The person behind the company is 22 year old Damian Verwij, trading as CAPITOS, who concealed his identity.

This is not an isolated case. Other reviews show a consistent pattern of poor products, obstructive customer service abs refusal to refund.

I have now escalated this to my bank, and reported the case to the Dutch fraud authorities.

My advice: AVOID THIS COMPANY AT ALL COSTS. They misrepresent themselves, do not follow EU consumer law and treat customers unfairly.
