Horrible to work with, do not respond within reasonable timeframes

The company is chasing me on behalf of British Gas for energy supplied to my property prior to me moving in.

I provided all my evidence for this back in November and still to this day, have not heard anything from BW regarding this. Maybe they realized they had no claim but still leaving me in the dark for months is completely unfair and unprofessional.

Review of Air Transat

Rated 1 out of 5 stars

Worst Airline Ever. ZERO Customer Service

Worst airline out there. They provide budget airline level service and amenities but charge like any other airline.

But aside from that, my biggest concern is their total disregard for passenger issues that are brought to their attention. Recently, on my outbound flight, when they put my meal on the tray table, the tray table bent and the hot food dumped into my lap.

Then on the inbound flight back a couple weeks later, I had an exit row seat and the flight attendants smashed the trolley into my shin first, then my knee the next passthrough, and finally ran over my foot. Again, no apologies, no regard for passengers. This caused a nasty injury to my leg and two weeks later I am still walking poorly.

I wrote Air Transat 2 complaints about all this and they have completely ignored me. And I would bet that when/if they eventually do respond it will be along the lines of, "We are sorry you had a bad experience, we aim to provide our passengers the highest level of service, etc. etc." But in reality, they will do nothing to compensate me, because, ultimately, they don't care at all about their passengers.

If you don't believe me that they don't care, look out for their response, or lack thereof, to this review.

Review of Connells Group

Rated 1 out of 5 stars

The only time they are responsive is when they want money from you.

This is the worst letting agency/property management company out there.

Their favourite thing to do is tell you that they will respond "as soon as possible." Well I can tell you that ASAP for them can mean years, literally. We have had the same recurring problem with them for almost a full year now and they are showing no urgency to fix it. They simply do not care about their tenants beyond collecting money from them.

Review of Wayfair UK

Rated 1 out of 5 stars

Could have been great but...

Wayfair arranged for a replacement of a sofa that had a manufacturer defect.

I was told that the team who is dropping off the new sofa will also take away the old sofa. Considering I just had surgery, this was the only scenario that was feasible for me. Even called the night before to confirm with an agent, who assured me everything was good to go.

The team showed up to drop off the new sofa and said they ARE NOT responsible for collecting the old sofa. And given that my flat wasn't big enough to store the new sofa before the old one was removed, the Wayfair delivery team just left 3 massive sofa pieces in the corridor.

I had to then personally disassemble and move the old sofa into the corridor, then drag the 3 massive pieces of the sofa into the flat with one arm and no equipment like a dolly to facilitate. Absolutely ridiculous by the Wayfair team.

Ended up injuring my shoulder again, and caused damage to my walls. Contacted Wayfair support, who initially seemed like they were going to help, but eventually did nothing. They didn't even bother to ask if I was okay following being injured by moving all these pieces of furniture myself.

The handling of the sofa replacement initially was excellent but the subsequent support and customer care is non-existent and arguably negligent. They need to communicate more accurately and assist customers after they've totally made a mess of things.

Review of Connells

Worst Letting Agency!

This is the worst letting agency out there. The letting agents are unresponsive, lack knowledge about properties they are showing, and have a general lack of urgency towards their clients.

We reported a property maintenance issue in April 2025, and I am disappointed to say, the issue persists in Jan 2026 despite Connells consistently saying their trademark phrase "We will address this as soon as possible".

They do not care about you as a tenant at all. They collect their money and leave you to fend for yourself beyond that. Avoid if possible!!!

Awful value for money. Charge like a mainstream airline but provide services like a low cost airline

Not sure how they get away with charging like a mainstream airline but having amenities like a low-cost airline.

The seats are incredibly narrow, even a small person’s shoulders will spill over into the space of the seat next to them.

The leg room is okay but in the aisle seat where I was there was two metal pieces of the seat in front significantly reducing the leg room I had.

They only provide old USB ports, no USB-C plugs or proper outlets. There are no air vents to regulate the temperature of your seat area, and the cabin bag space is the smallest I’ve ever seen.

Usually I stick to the mentality of ‘you get what you pay for’ but with Air Transat you definitely get a lot less than you pay for.

Review of Turkish Airlines

Rated 1 out of 5 stars

Worst Airline for Customer Service

I was on a flight from Istanbul to London recently and had a middle seat. The man next to me spent the entire flight drinking his own duty free whiskey and getting belligerently drunk. The flight attendants did nothing to stop him, in fact, they enabled him by providing empty cups with ice so he can pour his own whiskey.

As the man got more drunk, he started flailing around more and encroaching on my space. When the flight attendant was asked to intervene, she asked the man's 16 year old daughter to speak with him rather than taking any action herself.

Finally, while the flight was landing, the man started punching and elbowing me. Reported to police on the ground but Turkish Airlines refuses to even acknowledge that I was assaulted on their flight because their flight attendants did not have passenger safety as a priority.

I have reached out to Turkish Airlines about this and the best response they can come up with is "sorry for the inconvenience".

No care given towards their customers. Avoid at all costs.

Review of Aer Lingus

Rated 4 out of 5 stars

One of the only solid mainstream airlines left

I fly Aer Lingus from the UK to Ireland a lot. The desk staff as well as the aircraft staff are all very pleasant and professional. Never had a bad experience with a member of staff.

They are frequently late by 30-60 minutes which is quite annoying when the flight you are taking is only 50 minutes long but that isn't always within the airline's control.

Overall, a respectable choice for flying in and out of Ireland.

Very easy to work with

Bupa is one of the easiest companies to deal with. The advisors are responsive, helpful, and very pleasant. Claims are processed quickly and even when a claim doesn't go your way, the process to appeal is also straightforward.

Overall, one of the best insurance companies I have ever worked with. Highly recommended.

Review of Hightown Housing Association

Rated 1 out of 5 stars

They don't even deserve 1/5. Would rank 0/5 if possible.

Hightown is one of the worst housing associations in the country.

Our building has had a foul odour emanating from the sink in our apartment and all the apartment below us. We were told its a soil stack issue and that Hightown need to investigate and repair it. This was 6 months ago. NOTHING has been done.

On top of that, they frequently shut down the lifts without any indications or pre-warnings so people with accessibility issues are totally left our to dry and wait hours for Hightown to finish scheduled maintenance without informing residents.

The building we live in is also finished with flammable cladding, similar to the cladding on Grenfell tower. Hightown has been aware of for over 2 years and still have not addressed the issue at all.

Be careful if you are buying or letting a property that is part of Hightown.

Worst Letting Agents

Where to begin with Connells...

The letting agents who show the properties lack very basic knowledge about the units and the surrounding area. Their response time is slow and they forget to follow up on things consistently.

Once you are finally able to let a property, if you have any issues, Connells property management is extremely slow to respond and even slower to deploy a solution. But if they need something from you, or to access the property, they are extremely persistent and very fast to respond. They do not advocate on behalf of the tenants, they don't care about the tenants.

Overall, the worst letting experience of my life.

Review of XCover.com & Booking Protect

Rated 1 out of 5 stars

Waste of money, will never use again.

Not worth spending your money booking any kind of coverage through this group, they will find all sorts of reasons to deny claims and make you jump through all sorts of bureaucratic hoops before that. Highly recommend you purchase coverage through some other company. Look around on sites like Reddit for other people's experiences with them, you will see hundreds of stories of claims denied for very trivial reasons.

They find a way to not pay

I submitted a coverage claim for damage to my new Wayfair sofa from one of the first times I sat down on it. The stuffing broke through the springs and created a hole in the sofa where I sat down. There was no long term wear and tear or any kind of issue, the sofa was new when this happened.

I provided photo evidence of the damage. I didn't hear anything back for 6 weeks at which point I followed up. The next day after following up my claim was denied due to the damage being caused by "misuse, mishandling or neglect." Apparently, XCover thinks sitting on a sofa constitutes misuse. Not sure what the point of a sofa is then...

Either way, I feel completely scammed purchasing this coverage. Would not recommend.

Review of British Gas

Rated 1 out of 5 stars

Zero care for customers

This is the worst company in terms of customer experience. You are told one thing by the customer service representative and then no actions are taken or completed. You are told you will get a call within a certain period of time, this doesn't happen. You are told a case handler is investigating your complaint, then, despite repeated follow-ups from me, nobody provides any update.

I was billed incorrectly for the previous tenant and paid that bill. When I contacted British gas they tell me they see I paid that account balance but that the account isn't in my name so they can't help me recover the money. They billed me incorrectly, took my payment, acknowledged their error, but refused to refund any money. Just awful.

Review of TUI

NO Customer Service

I lost my headphones on the flight and contacted the airline to see if they could be found. They told me to contact the airport, which I did, and also physically went to the airport myself. There is nowhere in the airport to inquire about lost property.

I asked TUI if they could ask one of their local representatives at the airport to check where they keep lost property and TUI told me "We have no way to contact our local TUI representatives." I wonder how these people get paid then?

TUI was completely unwilling to even ask about this lost property on my behalf and just kept using the scripted, "We understand your frustration. We apologise for the inconvenience." No customer service provided whatsoever.

I understand that its highly unlikely my property is there anyway, but it would be nice to see TUI provide some level of support and at least try to help their customers. They have absolutely no desire to do so. Once you've paid them, you're on your own.

Avoid this airline if at all possible!

Hi Ivor Mohorovic,

Thank you for taking the time to leave us a review. We're always aiming to improve our service so it's great to get your feedback so we can monitor our customer satisfaction.

I’m very sorry to hear about the lost headphones. Once any flight lands into the airport once the plane is cleared and cleaned any luggage lost will be handed into the airports lost luggage department. You would need to contact the airport who will be able to check and see if they have this, as this will no longer be with any TUI departments. If they do have this you can arrange collection/ postage with them to get this returned to you.

I can see that you've raised your comments and concerns directly to our dedicated After Travel team who have looked into this and provided a response.

We truly appreciate that holidays are a special time and we are very sorry for any upset or disappointment caused with your lost luggage. I would like to reassure you all customer feedback is taken on board and shared with the relevant departments both here at home and in destination to ensure we continue improving the quality of the travel experiences we deliver.

Thanks again for reviewing us and letting us know your thoughts. We'll keep working towards making sure we're providing the best possible service.

Kind Regards and many thanks,

Review of Avia Rent a car

Stay away. Be careful with these guys!

The cars they advertise through the agencies are not at all the cars you will get when you actually book.

They charged us a 35 EUR fee for winter tires even though this wasn’t stated anywhere in the initial booking.

They also expect you to return the car after a car wash which is also ridiculous.

Stay away if you can
