Attending the hygienist has been a positive and successful experience in treating all my dental issues.

The staff are friendly and professional, the dentist always explains what he is doing and how I can care for my teeth.

Even though Bupa confirmed me and my wife had dental cover, reception at Wharfside Health Centre, part of Bupa said they couldn't find my policy number and tried to charge us. I had to spend at least 20 mins calling Bupa CS so they can speak with reception and tell them were covered. The Hygienist, from minute one, was rushing the clean, using any excuse to finish asap, and repeating constantly she had no time for a full clean (which Bupa advertises as covered). She also "explained" what treatment I should follow while she was working with tools in my mouth (impossible to hear her). When I tried to ask for more info after she finished, she just rushed me out of the room. Very unprofessional. Dentist Hussein was polite but very cold and detached. He didn't seem open to answering questions or providing details.
This Bupa clinic was so bad, that me and my wife prefer to pay for better service next time. Olivia at reception was professional, polite and acknowledged there was a problem in Bupa's internal system but next to her was a younger man who was clearly lacking skills and manners in customer service and communication. Really bad experience, bad professionals and poor quality service.

Absolutely brilliant dental surgery. Very welcoming, lovely receptionists, my dentist James Critchley is superb and the hygienists are positive, friendly and cheerful. Wish I’d signed up here years ago ❤️

BUPA staff most helpful in assisting me in arranging to see a Periodontist to discuss gum issues, problems with my lower front teeth and possible treatments.
