Great Customer service

I was really excited to purchase a Z Grill after seeing so many reviews and videos. So when my Traeger died I jumped at the opportunity. Delivery was quick and the process to build the unit was quick. When I went to fire up the unit for the inital burn my control panel never went to "smoke" setting or showed the "S". I've messaged, called and spoken with everyone and have been told to just set the temp to 160 degrees. I've done this and the grill smokes for 1-2 minutes and then it's just a fire in the fire pot. I've been told to order Z Grills pellets which I've now done and 3x the cost of those I find at Costco. Hopefully it works but I don't have high hopes. Hopefully I can return this and take my money to a company that values my business and doesn't try to keep selling me on things I shouldnt need.

Order my 700 series Reward Crowdfunding grill and heat blanket at the end of March.
1. The website says it is a 45 minute install but it takes 45 minutes to unpack the box carefully so you don’t damage / scratch anything (which might just be me since I like to keep my things as new looking and damage free as possible.)
2. The instructions really were not that clear. Not terrible but could use some improvement. (Part labeling and the hardware packet to match the instruction manual.) I wish I would have taken notes to help better improve this process for future folks.
3. A few of the of the parts that came were damaged.
a. The decorative plate. Which I got straight (kinda), so it is hardly noticeable.
b. The drip bucket was a bit smashed and had to bend in the hanger holder tabs to get it to fit on the grill.
c. The grill chamber assembly itself was dented in two spots.
4. The heat blanket that came (in my opinion) is way to big for the grill.
Emailed Customer Support about the issue and it seemed to take almost a full day to get a reply. At first the said they were going to send me a replacement grill and that the heat blanket I ordered was in fact the correct one. My friend has one on his Z Grill and it fits perfectly on the grill chamber where this one has a big gap in the back of it.

The initial burn off was nice and easy. The first-time use was awesome. The whole family loved it. the controls were easy(ish) for never using one like it before.
I have not yet setup the Wi-Fi or Bluetooth for the grill.
All that being said I am mostly happy with my purchase. I do think the QA and engineering folks should talk a bit more. Not sure if the company has “Testers” at all but it may be a thought to help improve a few things. I’d apply for that job for sure.

Bought my Zgrill 1000d about 3 weeks ago. Shipping was a little slow and it arrived on two seperate days. Box 2 came on Saturday and box 1 came on the following Monday. It was packaged unbelievably well. Assembly took about 2 2¹/² hrs. Very easy and straight forward. It is built like a tank very nice quality parts; even the screw driver that was provided was great quality. Learning to use smoker I had to turn to you tube as there are limited instructions on how to use the smoker (I've never owned a pellet smoker). This so far has been the only issue the lack of an instruction booklet and I was surprised there wasn't a small reciep book included (tons of recipes on YouTube though). First smoke was ribs on Saturday. Smoker worked like a champ very easy to use and smoke on.
I'm gonna have to learn the hot areas, and cold areas on the smoker though. I would highly recommend.

I really like the idea of a new grill every 5 years, which I was doing already.

I LOVE setting the temperature and not having to check it every hour, i can actually sleep through the night now.

You can also "jump the line" and get grills faster for a small fee and shipping prior to the 5 year countdown. However, the costs are really low. I also might add that I am 55 and will NOT see this "investement" come to fruition...however, since it is transferable, my two sons will enjoy a lifetime of BBQing like their old man.

I used my 1st zGrill (the large one with three cooking levels) to cook two briskets and they turned out awesome. I setup the large zGrill by myself without much hastle. Instruction were clear and the burn out was really easy. I followed this with a bunch of fajitas, sausages, and chicken thighs that all turned out nicely.

Please note that is a great Grill (it is actually in the name) and not necessarily a smoker. However, I bought a smoking tube and light it before placing it in the grill for great smoke action. I also added on a high temp bbq gasket to the perimiter of the zGrill lid and now drive ALL the smoke and heat out the smoke chimney where it is intended, not that this was not already happening...but I WANT IT ALL.

I am stingy with my money and my experience with zGrill has been rock solid so far.

Do yourself a favor and join up and get to BBQ great food for you and your kin (as we say on the ranch).

Just got a new grill cover and THERMAL BLANKET for my 450B. Blanket really makes a noticeable difference in heat retention.

The grill got to me very fast and assembly was so much easier then I expected. Did my first cook on it a couple days later and absolutely loved it!

I ordered the "2025 New Upgrade 700D3" as part of the Crowdfunding rewards program (new grill every 5 years). It shipped quickly and arrived on Friday; packaging was very thorough and secure. I spent a couple of hours setting it up; it was easy and instructions were straightforward--I just took my time (plus working around all that packaging). Instructions for burn-in (seasoning) were easy to follow, too.
The next day, I fired it up for brats and burgers. Smoked them for about 45 min, then switched to High to finish them off. This is my first pellet grill, so I'm learning as I go along. The brats were a bit over-done on the outside, but tender and delicious on the inside. The burgers were incredible. I look forward to 'honing my craft' in the coming weeks and beyond. I can't speak to the every-five-years part yet, but look forward to seeing how that plays out.

Quick delivery, easy assembly! WiFi was a bit hard to connect. Great to grill on!

Have had my 700e smoker for several years now and it has been fun to use and made outdoor cooking more enjoyable. My model had the old type controller and I recently ordered and received the new model PID. This was a problem though. It came in a box , no install instructions nor a how to use manual. Zgrill news to up their game on instructions and manuals. Other than that it is a very good smoker.

So far I only used it once and I love it... I never thought id get a pellet grill, I had a kettle grill that I do al my smoking on, but broke down and bought a z grill, glad I did...

Bought the 10502B after being recommended by a neighbor. Amazing! Easy to assemble, use and clean. Impressed with the construction vs other brands I see in the box stores.

I love my ZGrill! I almost didn’t get a pellet grill because they were so expensive and then I found ZGrills. Although they are more more affordable than the other guys these are high quality and provide freedom from manning the wood smoker during an 8 hour cook. Just set the temp and forget it!

The grill shipped ahead of time. Assembly was very smooth since they shipped decent quality tools to use for the assembly. So far I've smoked a brisket, burgers, hotdogs, steaks and chicken. Everything has been a hit and takes little effort. The only negative I have found is that the App doesn't work that well and the wired probe thermometers are way off. I already had other thermometers though so this wasn't a very big deal to me. You'll be happy with the purchase.

The quality of this grill is 100 percent!

I recently purchased a Z Grill 1000D. They currently have a buy one and get ten deal going. I plan for this deal to keep my sons and I in pellet grills for a long time. My boxes arrived quickly and I had no trouble putting together my grill. So far I have been very impressed with the quality and design of my grill. I have smoked and grilled and been satisfied with everything. I love the size of the hopper for overnight cooks. I can’t wait to try more things!
