I have just signed up with youi for my car insurance and the overall experience was great. Looking forward for more.
$30 cancellation fee, wasting my time etc
YOUI kept upping the monthly cost, multiple time within a year.
Decided to look elsewhere and found a much better deal with AAMI. I called up YOUI to see if they'd match it and they didn't so went with AAMI.
Everytime I called they kept saying the cost was $1700 when I was previously quoted $1400 told them this then suddenly oh it is $1400. The lower quote was even on my account already.
When I called YOUI back to cancel, the lady I was talking to kept me on the phone for over 30 min trying to convince me to stay by "seeing what she can do" and talking to her manager. Couldn't come close to the same amount. Even at risk of losing me as a customer. Kept insisting they're better and to check reviews here. When infact what you offer is not better.
Finally got her to cancel it then to add insult to injury she says "we hope you come back next year and see what we can do for you." Then proceeds to say there is A $30 CANCELLATION FEE...... ARE YOU F***ING SERIOUS!?!? I would have considered coming back right up until then. GOOD RIDDANCE
PS. The only positive is you get through to a person pretty quickly.

Great service by Ethan C. I have like a million questions and he was confident with the answers. I truly hope we don’t have an incident but if we do I believe we are adequately prepared with the insurance we have taken out. We also saved ourselves some money in the process and that is always a bonus.

I am writing to provide feedback on a recent car insurance quote experience that was incredibly disappointing due to the unprofessional conduct of your sales representative. I was shopping around for quotes before renewing with my current provider, but this experience has ensured I will never consider Youi.
There were two major issues during the call:
1. Inappropriate and offensive remarks: While conducting the mandatory security check, the representative asked if I had any criminal charges in the past 10 years. When I answered "No," she made an unprofessional joke, asking, "Are you sure you aren't involved in or planning a bank robbery?" I was shocked and had to ask her to repeat herself to ensure I hadn't misunderstood.
2. Defensive and unhelpful attitude regarding policy terms: Later, after a long hold, she provided the premium and market valuation. When I questioned how the car’s value is assessed at the time of an incident versus its current market value, she stated that the payout would depend entirely on the assessor at the time of a claim. When I pushed for clarity on what rights a customer has if an assessor severely undervalues the vehicle, she avoided the question and defensively remarked, "It seems like you just prefer your current provider."
When I challenged her on why she would say that—reminding her that I wouldn't be spending time on the phone getting a quote if I didn't want to explore options—she failed to provide a professional response.
I explicitly told her that her comments were offensive and that I was highly dissatisfied with the service. This level of customer service is unacceptable, and because of this interaction, I will not be returning to Youi for any future insurance needs. I hope this feedback is used for staff retraining.

It was the first time I had to make a claim since changing insurance companies, an I have to say is was flawless fantastic turnaround with a claim number and booking for repair. No jumping through hoops like I had previously experienced. Well done.

I had my 2017 bt50 insured with a other provider. We had house and cars insured with same provider for 20yrs. No loyalty to customers. Switched to Youi Insurance and got better coverage on the cars and saved quite a few dollars. Customer service is great.
