X-Bows: Solving the Problem at its Root. X-Bows was created to address a silent public health crisis. After analyzing extensive medical literature connecting traditional keyboards to Carpal Tunnel Syndrome, our founder, Dr. Sig, realized the only way to prevent these injuries was to redesign the tool itself. He developed X-Bows to address the problem at its root: the unnatural angle of the wrists forced by standard layouts. Unlike traditional "split" keyboards that require learning a completely new way to type, X-Bows features a unique cross-linear radial design. This naturally aligns your wrists and fingers without forcing you to relearn muscle memory from scratch. Whether you are a software developer or a writer, our goal is to extend your career by protecting your most valuable tools: your hands. Our Commitment to You We are a team of innovators dedicated to improvement. We have heard your feedback regarding support, and we have taken action. We recently overhauled our software hub, expanded our user guides, and renewed our focus on customer care to ensure you have the help you need. A Sustainable Future We believe in protecting both your health and the planet. Since August 2023, X-Bows has committed 0.5% of all revenue to carbon removal initiatives. Thank you for typing healthy with us.

Great product, delivered without any trouble. I've bought 3 now over several years, for home and work, and would buy again.

1 star is generous. I’ve never encountered customer support as poor as X-Bows. It took them over two years to respond to my multiple inquiries about two failed keyboards I purchased from them — no exaggeration.
When they finally replied, they informed me that my $260 keyboard was a few months out of warranty. Their “solutions” were to either:
Ship it back to China at my expense (around $80 shipping) and pay another $120 for a possible reset, or
Buy a new one at 25% off. Same warranty policy.
As for the second keyboard (X-Bows Light), they claimed it was bought in 2018, which is completely inaccurate since both were purchased at the same time. They refused to even discuss it.
When they finally relied to me there responses were very intermittent
After spending $360 total, both keyboards are unusable — and X-Bows has made no effort to truly help in any serious capacity . Extremely disappointing experience. Buyer Beware.
ps. no extortion was made. i asked for a replacement for a keyboard a few month out of warranty that cost close to $300.00 i am sorry x-bows feels differently. it took 2 years for them to even reply. beware. inaccurate response

Did not receive order after 5 months, and they are not responding when I try to contact them on various platforms.

Like many others here, I attempted to initiate a return. I have heard radio silence so far, and now I am sure that if I ever get a response it will be "out of the date range for a return" and ineligible. I can't really speak to the quality of the keyboard, as I haven't had it for long, but the layout is awkward and not what I wanted.
Not worth it, the company is dishonest and impossible to contact. Go somewhere else.

They simply have no customer support, I immediately messaged them regarding a refund, as upon first trial, I disliked the keyboard. After numerous mails, they did not send any reply back. Furthermore, I added a review on their website, so that future customers may be warned, but as you might guess, they censor review of 3 stars and below.
The keyboard itself (Knight Plus Pro) is only sent with ANSI-US Layout. As these keys are far from a standardized size, you can forget using other keycaps if you need a DE-ISO Layout or others, as the keys that are in standard size will look different from the rest.
The expected diagonality of my hands in this keyboard design is not achieved in my case. I still have my hands rather straight, as my thumbs would otherwise not reach the middle. Using a "normal" keyboard layout, I sometimes even had more diagonal hands than here.
Additionally, I face multiple connectivity issues. I could not yet pinpoint whether it's the cable (that they sent!) or it's the keyboard itself.
Generally, I would really not trust this company with my money, I don't believe that the product is worth its price and above all, I don't this that such a company that sadly treats its customers so poorly deserves to be supported further.

This is my second x-bows keyboard with Mac layout.
I have used them since the early Kickstarter version. That still works very well, but now I have the Knight with hot-swappable switches.
I use the silent brown switches and generally, I am very happy with this keyboard.

I purchased the Nature keyboard in 2022, attracted by its pretty lights and small size. Initially satisfied, the keyboard malfunctioned after a few months of use.
Seeking assistance, I contacted customer service, but their support proved inadequate. Despite their initial efforts, communication dwindled, and I was left without a solution.
Despite efforts to find a replacement switch independently, the lack of support has been disappointing. I can't recommend this product due to its unreliability and poor customer service.

Ordered in 2023-01, keyboard or shipping info never arrived. They did not reply to repeated attempts at contact. Requested a explanation or refund, no response. In 2023-08 they apologized and sent me the next better model. It was actually really nice product. But the USB C connector on the keyboard failed, tested new cables, faulty keyboard connector definitely. More ignored emails. Then a month or so back they apologized yet again, promised to be better. I asked them to explain warranty and correct my bad USB C connector on the keyboard. New(?) support, who has my customer email/info, requests me to provide order numbers/emails to them. I'm the customer, they can cross ref email and locate the trail. Enough of my time. Now ignored again and no further support. Lucky for me I'm moving back to Denver, location of the company office, and will be stopping by to discuss in person. And going to a Denver lawyer, and the state capital there to pursue further options. This company has issues!
Yes I would still like to resolve this. I don't have the card I would have used at the time. Please email me to explore options.
Now they are trying via email to trick me into giving them my banking information which could be used to drain my account, unreal.

I have tried many different keyboard types over time. For a few years now, this search is over. The X-Bow is the perfect blend between a regular und a fully bent or split keyboard. The thing I love most is the additional shift and control key that makes use of my quite versatile thumbs. I never understood why space needed to be that wide. The thumb can do so much more. I also love the bigger key caps for keys that take longer distances to travel to, e.g. backspace, but also 0, 1, -, ~ and Alt. This makes the far away keys much easier to hit. The fact that this keyboard is not too bent makes it also usable for one hand use in combination with other input devices, pens and mouse. This is the perfect blend for me.

An Ergo keyboard is supposed to have a different key layout from a straight keyboard. But X-bows uses the same keycap size for all the keys on a ergo keyboard, this makes the ergo keyboard not usable. Just check the relative key position between F and T, comparing that to the same relative position to a Microsoft Ergo Keyboard 4000. One can see that the finger will end up in the gap when trying to reach T key starting from F key.
I bought the X-bows ergo keyboard in 2021, after several tries, I still can not get used to it. I really wish X-bows can make some adjustment. Feel free to reach out to me if my review needs clarification.

I have used this keyboard for some years now, have a few units and I think the ergonomics, after the learning curve, is great, and my typing speed became better than a regular keyboard. I agree the support is a little absent, though.

Keyboard Arrived With Several Cracked Buttons
Waited for over a month for this keyboard only for the escape and F1 keys to be cracked and broken.
I'm so disappointed I waited for this product to arrive and it shows up in such poor quality.

I never got my keyboard. I spent like $300 and even after more than a year I haven’t received anything. They won’t give me my money back when I asked

Reply from X-Bows Inc
The keyboard itself was wonderful when it worked, really great to be able to customize the switches and the layout was very intuitive to switch to. The issue came when the socket on the back would intermittently loose connection. It would happen increasingly often and isn't something I can fix. The broblem started within a month and I reached out to customer service who said they would send me a new one, but it would take a couple months because they were coming out with the new models and mine wasn't available anymore. I checked in several months later and nothing. No responses to the email chain. No responses to a new request to their support email. Nothing. Over a year after I find the discord server and get a response to mt DM 2 months after mentioning it. I explain the situation with all the screen shots and they promise it will be resolved as soon as I contact support. I was again ignored entirely by support and the discord DM has also been ghosted. This is an incredibly expensive pile of junk. I tried since May 24, 2021 with my most recent ignored message being March 8, 2024.

Advertising makes this sound a product that is helpful. Sadly, one piece means your wrist are fixed in an uncomfortable and cramped position and this makes for tiring typically. Slightly better than a regular keyboard, price makes this a purchase if you want this keyboard layout, else any keyboard would suffice. I've since found a better option that has increased my typing speed and more importantly, my comfort. And I can use the keyboard while lying back in my seat comfortably.

I bought the Nature Qmk keyboard on 2022-08-16, I'm a programmer and I had forearm and wrist pain.
It took me about a month to accustomize myself to this new keyboard layout (US is not my native layout but it's better for programmers).
My previous keyboard was a Microsoft ergonomic one with keypad on the right.
It was a giant leap for me: different layout, no numpad, different keys arrangement... but I saw the pain gradually vanishing, and I really love the programmable keys via the simple qmk Web interface.
It's such a joy now using it every day at work and at home.
The only downside if you are a programmer like me is that some symbol keys are a bit far to press when needed, but that's somewhat easy to overcome if you want (just use qmk config website).
I bought this keyboard because it was the only one with a good price range to start with, other competitors costs about twice!
Note: I bought 2 keyboards before the fuss happened some time ago (just look in the r/xbows subreddit) and I had no trouble at all, the company sent a mail about a week ago stating they had a fraudolent staff member screwing thair business and it should be resolved now. I really love this keyboard and I hope they will continue to sell it in the future.

When I first got the keyboard, I had trouble getting the drivers working under vanilla Windows 10. Tried to contact support and did not receive an answer. Tried a few things (I'm a fairly sophisticated computer user) and gave up. Tried to initiate a return and never received an answer. The keyboard may be ok but I never had a chance to find out due to terrible customer service.

Similar to other customers, support for the keyboard was nonexistent. The USB connector became faulty after a year of use. Bought a new cable and thought that was the problem. It wasn’t. I tried to reach out several times to the company for support, but there was no answer. I bought a Keychron Q8 ergonomic keyboard and have never been happier.

Wrist pain and numbness from CTS greatly reduced and typing speed is not fast as ever.
I own two now

The product fills a huge gap in the keyboard market. I was struggling to choose between mechanical and natural/ergonomic keyboards. And then X-Bows came in to the picture. Has a learning curve, but once you learn to type, you are not going back.
On the negative side, I read a lot of complains about support, and myself experienced switch fail after around 2 years, however, my warranty had expired, so I didn't bother. I got my own set of switches and replaced the faulty ones.
If I had to change something, this would be better quality switches. I got my son a Keychron and feeling is way better (both Brown)
