I am writing this review regarding the handling of our kitchen installation and the unacceptable level of customer service we have received.
Our new kitchen was delivered on 14 September, one week before the agreed fitting date of 21 September. As my husband and I both work, my daughter had arranged to spend the morning at our home on the 21st specifically to ensure that the Wren fitters could gain access and begin the installation as scheduled.
However, by 11:00am, the fitters had still not arrived. My husband contacted Wren to find out what was happening, only to be informed that our fitting had been cancelled. We had received absolutely no prior notification that the installation had been cancelled. We were therefore left waiting at home unnecessarily and, more importantly, completely unprepared for the significant disruption this cancellation has caused.
In preparation for our new kitchen, we had already had our gas supply disconnected and disposed of our existing cooking equipment, as we had made the decision to purchase new appliances to complement the new kitchen. As a result, we are currently unable to use our kitchen properly and have been left in an extremely difficult and unacceptable situation.
For the past four days wren has contacted my husband with no resolution at all, just repetition of the call from the previous day
Our home is currently extremely difficult to live in. Boxes and belongings that were being stored in preparation for the work are now occupying our living room, while the new kitchen units and associated items are spread throughout our dining room and garage. The remaining space is severely restricted, making it difficult and uncomfortable for us to move around our own home.
What is particularly disappointing is that Wren has now suggested that we attempt to find our own kitchen fitters, despite our agreement being for a full kitchen supply and fitting service. We entered into this agreement with the expectation that Wren would fulfil its contractual obligations and manage the installation as agreed. It is therefore unreasonable to expect us to resolve Wren’s failure by sourcing our own contractor at short notice.
The lack of communication, the cancellation without notice, and the failure to provide an effective solution have caused us considerable inconvenience, disruption and distress. We have made significant preparations based on the agreed installation date, and we are now effectively left without a functioning kitchen through no fault of our own.
We have been extremely disappointed by our experience with Wren so far. We chose Wren with the expectation that the entire process, including fitting, would be professionally managed. Unfortunately, the way this situation has been handled has fallen far short of those expectations.
Don’t use Wren.
They messed up our kitchen at the start of April and we are still waiting for remedial work (is the end of September). We have spent hours and hours chasing.
If you like incompetence, gaslighting, broken promises and being insulted, then by all means use Wren.
Otherwise, look elsewhere.
If I could give zero stars I would.
Looking back on getting our kitchen and speaking to people I now realise just how bad wren are. ESPECIALLY once the money has been handed over they dont want to know you.
They made mistakes which at the time we kinda let slide bit to this day our kitchen has a huge space from the wall to the counter top because they made the wrong specs for the sizing meaning the oven wouldnt fit in after having ALL of the counter tops put in place ! Their "laser mapping high tech" was a load of rubbish.
I wouldn't use them again and strongly advise people to buy else where
Booking the surveyor was easy. Thandazani Moyo turned up late but he was apologetic, friendly and helpful.
Very pleasant and helpful man . Just measured up for our new kitchen extension
Jason was very efficient, friendly & knowledgable. Called to make sure his visit was still convenient & when he would be arriving.
Jordan was very helpful to me today. After not getting anywhere with previous calls re collecting an inferior brand new oven with a dangerous fault he arranged collection & will arrange a refund. He understood the problem & was willing to rectify it saving me lots of stress.
Thank you Jordan.
Two Polite and friendly gentleman delivered my kitchen today. One large item was a problem to get into the house but they solved it in a calm professional manner.
Still ongoing in process, but had an issue that I needed support with and Amanda was outstanding. Haven't had customer service like that in years from anywhere.
Thank you,
Thank you Samuel for being, Most understanding, helpful and patient with my query and finding a a speedy result.
Mr A Johnson and his colleague fitted our worktops today and did a fantastic job. They were both very professional and friendly. They gave us lots of advice on how to look after the worktops. The order was 50097054.
The quartz installation guys that came today were great. If only all Wren employees were as helpful and proactive.
N Mullen and his partner were great and sorted a host of issues that were left by the first crew when they aborted their visit for incorrect quartz sizes.
These two need a pay rise or something, because if it wasn’t for them there would be ongoing problems on an already poor job from Wren.
Reference the home measure service.
David Tebbs has just carried out our free home measure prior to our appointment to visit Wrens design service for a new kitchen. He was friendly, polite, very thorough indeed and explained carefully what the measure was for, and how to prepare for the design visit. Every aspect of a new kitchen was allowed for, and following our initial visit to the store, and his visit we have every confidence in Wren if we go ahead.
Jon Griffiths was friendly, professional and punctual.
Clear to see that he knows what he is doing and did his job with as little disruption as possible.
Query was dealt with well with good level of service and issue was resolved - thanks Richard
