Well, you can only say what your service was like mine was excellent. Plugs arrived within 6 days, nicely packed with an I.D sheet, and a gift. The plugs were a good size, and undamaged, fingers crossed I don't kill em, not the best gardener. So, there we are, a true review, no problems at all.

Amazing service, chilli plants & plugs packed extremely well and arrived in good time. This is the second year I’ve ordered and it won’t be the last.

Good healthy plug plants standing 5-6 inches including the plugs. Delivered still moist on Friday after a weekend order.

15 out of 16 plants arrived in great shape. I can't grumble as I only ordered 13 and it was one of the freebies that has a damaged stem and might not make it. I won't be demanding a replacement :-) The extra three plants are all a bit more interesting than my choices and are very welcome.

I'd order again, although I hope to be better organised in other years and grow from seed.

I have ordered for a couple of years now and cannot fault the quality of the plants and how kind to always pop a free plant in the package which is always good quality. A small issue with forgotten seeds was dealt with promptly and generously. Brilliant supplier of fab plants

I have always had such excellent service from this company, even when royal mail delayed delivery and the plants arrived somewhat dehydrated, world of Chillies, just sent a new batch without any issues. It want their fault, but they were so helpful. Always had excellent plants and seeds from this guy's. Thank you

Not sure why there's negative reviews, my experience was the exact opposite. Ordered chilli plugs and they arrived, in quality packaging, within a week. A pack of feed included along with the info booklet on how to care for your plants. Also included was an extra, free plug which is very much appreciated. This is my first attempt at growing Chillies but I will certainly buy from this company again.

The web site had me hooked for all the wrong reasons ….. I judged the book by its cover. Contact phone numbers never answered, mail never replied, advice with photos never acknowledged. Asked for help with Hydroponic watering …. Same story. It was the exuberance and passion of the female owner that had be hoping. Misplaced . So much potential here I hoped.

Rubbish, didn’t send me my kaffir tree despite pretending they would. Would not recommend them

Order took an age to arrive (April/May 2025), and when it did all the plants were dead. I contacted Support several time to get new plants or a refund from and didn't receive the courtesy of a response. I won't see that £11 ever again!

Poor customer service which ruins a company that used to be so reliable.

I will not use them again and urge people to avoid.

Like many great small companies, as their reputation spreads, they struggle to maintain the standards customers come to expect. This was a terrific company — I've used them for many years. The service was personal, the products were great. But they’ve clearly struggled to scale. Quality has fallen, and customer service is now nonexistent.
Don’t get me wrong — if you receive what you ordered, you’re probably on to a good thing. But if there are any issues, you’re stuffed.
The only contact channel is a webform, and responses are nonexistent. Any sense of personal service or commitment to customer satisfaction has vanished. Don’t let the “lady next door” persona fool you — this has become a faceless organisation focused on shifting volume.
I’ve now submitted three queries this season about a rogue plant. I have no idea what it is, but now that it’s fruiting, I know it’s not what I ordered or what was advertised. It should be a ‘gold’ chilli, but it’s red. It should have a certain heat and flavour — it’s completely tasteless. That suggests either poor seed quality at source or a mislabelled plant. Either way, it raises serious quality control concerns.
At a minimum, I’d have appreciated an acknowledgement. Realistically, I’d like compensation for a season spent growing a luscious chilli that turned out to be nothing more than ornamental. Hard to understand how this can be classified as a “chef’s favourite.”
Sarah — if you’re reading this, it’s time to take a step back and smell the capsaicin. The message is clear: loyal customers who supported your growth are dropping like flies, and your NPS is rotting in the compost heap. Refocus on customer service. Sort out your product quality. Then maybe you can reclaim your place as the UK’s go-to premium chilli supplier.

Have ordered from world for chillies for years without any issues. Always good sizes plugs and plants and the advice is always great to have. Will continue to buy from them

I ordered a lot of seeds and plugs from world of chillies. most of seeds never germinated and the plugs died. (i have had an allotment and have been growing for over 10 years). I contacted company numerous times on their contact forms. I provided pictures like they asked. They have never returned a response!, even though I got a response email, saying they have received my email/contact and someone will be replying shortly, which never happened.
I will be taking my business elsewhere where from now on.

Ordered 9 chilli plugs. Had 1 missed delivery, this company do not send a dispatch notice or tracking information I contacted them & they shipped again also no shipping information was sent.
Received my order yesterday, on receipt 2 of the plants were crushed & snapped another 2 looked very wilted. So today 4 of the plants are already pretty much dead, the packaging was really not good its thin plastic holding the plants packed in a plastic bag so I guess they have a lot of damaged plants.
I have not bothered to contact them, I will write this off as a bad experience & go & buy some large plants from the garden center.
I should have read the Trust Pilot reviews before buying.....

People need to give small veg growers a chance at this time of year. There is so much to do, upkeep, posting packing keeping up with emails. If only more people left good feedback instead of only negative.
Everybody makes mistakes!
This is a company that really goes above, I recieved a lovely guide book and some plant food. You wouldn't get this service from suttons etc!

Ordered chilli plug plants on the 18th May. Payment taken. E-mailed 23 May to ask where the dispatch was. 10 days later no response. Like many on here I have been a regular customer of World of Chillies over the past 6 or 7 years so am really sad that they have now descended to this. Like everyone here I have put a chargeback request into my card company. A real shame as until now they have been excellent.

Like most I have been using this company for many years. My order which was placed in november did arrive in March. Unfortunately there was 1 that was damaged. Not a problem as Sarah said she would send another. Nothing arrived and I have emailed multiple times with no response. Just wanted to know if I was going to get a replacement plus some extras I wanted to order. Around 4 times I have emailed allowing a week or 2 inbetween. Nothing back. The customer service is shocking this year. I like many won't use them again.

Don't by from this company ad the chillis never arrive.

Excellent products for several years. Very poor for the last two years with plants failing and dying. Emaied them last week with photographs and no response. I agree with the reviews stating that they have gone downhill. I won’t buy from them again.

I asked for an updateon the delivery of my chilli plugs and followed up letting them know some of my plugs got damaged in the post.

They responded quickly and sent out replacement plants.

No hassle and no fuss, I'll buy again next season.
